Dark Inuyoukai: I’m really going to try harder to make my chapters progressively longer! This chapter should be pretty good, Kags meets someone that will help her. I just changed something! This is an update, I have changed some things that my beta said would be a good idea.

*Kagome is very out of character because her demon is talking to Naraku in most of the chapter. She wants to get her pup back from him and wants to go back to her friends.*

Chapter five
Life in captivity at Naraku’s castle
Naraku smirked at the two bodies that were laying upon the bed. Both of his captives were unconscious. He knew what he was going to do with them, mess with their heads and then use them as bait for Inuyasha.
“Yes, that’s exactly what I’ll do. Then Kagome can watch as Kikyo kills Inuyasha and then drag him to hell for eternity. Kukuku.” He cackled. “That would be a sight indeed!”
Kagome awoke very slowly. The last thing she remembered was talking to Shippo on the battlefield. She finally was awake, she sat up and found herself in a lavishly decorated room.
The bed she was on was huge, larger than a king size bed. The covers were made of blood red silk and the pillows were covered in black silk. Kagome shuddered and said, “Almost as if they were there so no one could tell you were bleeding on the bed!!”
She looked around and saw that the whole room was done in crimson and black. ‘Hmmm, do I detect a theme?’ Kagome wondered, and then she looked down at herself. She was dressed in her kimono that she was wearing, ‘Thank the lords! I didn’t want any clothes that belonged to Naraku!’ Her eyes stopped at her ankles and she growled. They were shackled together.
“Chikutso. I didn’t notice this because I was preoccupied with my thoughts.” Kagome growled angrily as she sniffed the air. Shippo was not in the room! “Naraku!!! Where is my pup? I know that you can hear me!!” she roared. Kagome was clearly very upset.
“If he is hurt, I’ll rip out your spine and make you eat it!! I’ll free Kagura and Kanna then let them kill you before Inuyasha can ever find you!!!” Kagome roared, hoping to get some kind of reaction from the vile hanyou.
“Damaru little miko. Your pup is fine.” Naraku said as he finally strolled into the lavishly decorated room. “Why do I smell my pup’s blood on you? I should kill you now, you filthy scum!!!” snarled Kagome.
“Tsk, tsk, tsk, Kagome, Kagome, Kagome. I could kill him right now and you’ll never see him again. Is that what you want to happen little miko? I can easily arrange that.” Naraku whispered in her ear.
“Get away from me now Naraku! Give me back my pup! You try to kill him, I will hunt you down and kill you very slowly!” Kagome hissed, flexing her sharp claws..
“I shall take my leave now, Kagome. Perhaps I will go and “talk” to your pup again? Or should I have Kanna “talk” to him? She could just take his soul…” Naraku said as he walked out of the room. “Come back here, you coward!! Bring my pup to me right now!! Let me out of this wretched place! Let me go home!!!” Kagome screamed as she watched the servant enter and close the door behind him.
“Greetings milady, I am Hiraki. If you can calm down, I will persuade Lord Naraku to bring your dear pup to you.” Kagome thought about what he said and then scowled. “Don’t let Naraku touch him, his disgusting scent would get all over him! I want you to bring him to me, at least you don’t smell of sulfur.”
Hiraki’s eyes lit up and he smiled brightly as he nodded. “I do know what you mean milady, Lord Naraku smells terrible!! His chambers smell even worse….Why does Lord Naraku have the Princess of the Eastern Lands here of all places?” Kagome looked at him and sighed. “I really don’t know why I am here. Would you help me to get my kit safe then help us escape? You could come with us!” declared Kagome.
Hiraki looked at Kagome and sighed. “I will do my best to keep you and your kit safe, my lady. But, for the time being, please don’t do or say anything to cause Naraku to lose his temper. He is unstable and it is wise to hold one’s tongue until they learn about the severity of their situation, ne?” He said, as he turned to leave the room. When he heard Kagome sigh, he turned to look at her and gave her an encouraging smile. “You have an ally in me, my lady. I will do what I can.”

Sesshomaru and the Inu-tachi were following leads on the whereabouts of Naraku. They really desperate to find Kagome and Shippo before Naraku decided to kill them. “Houshi, where do you think Naraku has taken Kagome and Shippo? We are on borrowed time to find them!” asked a worried Sango.
Miroku looked over to Sango. She looked anxious. He could understand because both of them considered Kagome as the sister that they had never known. “I agree, Sango. We need to find Kagome and Shippo soon.” Miroku agreed. Kirara meowed and rubbed her head against the monk’s shoulder to give her agreement as well. “Looks like Kirara agrees with us too.” said Sango.
“Will you two shut the hell up! We need to find Kagome and her kit and don’t need you two to babble the entire way.” Inuyasha growled. “You are right, Inuyasha. We should be searching for Kagome and Shippo.” Miroku said as Sango nodded. “Feh. You actually listened to me for once.” Inuyasha said.

Kagome was waiting for Hiraki to come back with her kit. She had been eating fruit that he had left her. “May I come in, milady? I have your pup with me. He looks like he needs someone to heal his cuts and bruises.” Hiraki said through the door. “Yes, please come in. I have to tend to my son.” Kagome replied, her hands extended to receive the injured kit.
Hiraki gave Shippo to an anxious Kagome. Kagome set him on the bed and healed him with her miko powers. He soon began to stir. “Momma, is that you? Are we still at Naraku’s castle? If we still are, I really want to go home now! He beat me when I wouldn’t tell him what I knew. It wasn’t anything compared to what I got when I was little, I was always cut up and bruised. My adventures were rough, but it still hurt!!” Shippo said, rubbing his tender little head.
Kagome looked down at Shippo and said sadly, “Unfortunately, we are still at Naraku’s castle. We have someone who is going to help us escape though, his name is Hiraki!!” Hiraki looked at Kagome and Shippo. “Milady, Lord Naraku should be unconscious because I put strong sleeping herbs in his dinner. It is now that we should escape. We need to hurry, but be quiet! Kanna might hear us!” he whispered, placing a finger to his lips. He pulled out a key and quickly unshackled Kagome’s legs. He helped her up and took her hand in his.
Hiraki led Kagome and Shippo down many dark and gloomy corridors. “Stand still, I have to mask our scents. The room’s magic that masked your scents is wearing off.” Hiraki whispered. He closed his eyes and concentrated for a moment. “This way, we can sneak pass the guards that are at the gates.” Kagome and Shippo nodded in agreement. “Thank you. We don’t want anyone catching us.” Kagome replied softly.
Hiraki nodded and glanced over at Kagome. He grinned when he noticed that his spell had worked. Kagome, Shippo, and Hiraki glowed a soft bluish/purple light before it faded. They hurried down four flights of stairs. “You must be very quiet when you pass this next door, that is Lord Naraku’s room.” Hiraki said in a hushed voice. Kagome and Shippo nodded. They tiptoed very quietly and then down the hallway. “This is the last flight of stairs. After this, we have a long hallway to go through, then we’ll be out of here once we get through the gates!” exclaimed Hiraki in a whisper.
The three of them got to the first gate. They unbolted the first lock and cringed. Unlocking the locks was very loud!! “And what do we have here? Trying to escape our company so soon? And you just got here.” A voice purred.
“Oh no, we’re caught!!” ran through the three’s mind as they stood frozen.
Tsuki: Oooh a cliffy! I wonder who caught them? Was it Naraku, Or Kagura? Was it someone else? You’ll have to wait for the next chapter to find out!!
