Chapter six
Naraku’s plan revealed
“And what do we have here? Trying to escape? I think I should tell Lord Naraku. “A voice purred. Hiraki was alarmed. He didn’t think anyone would have caught them trying to escape.
He looked around and only saw shadows. “And who are you? You better come out!!! Show yourself, you coward!!” he shouted angrily. Kagura stepped out of the shadows looking extremely pissed off.
“Little miko, you thought that you could escape? You even caught one of Lord Naraku’s servants with your charm. You told him he could escape.” She said as she looked over to Hiraki. “Hiraki, I expected better from you.”
Kagome and Hiraki looked at each other, then at Kagura, and scowled. “I didn’t make anyone want to leave! Hiraki wanted to leave on his own!” shouted Kagome. Hiraki nodded at her words, agreeing with her.
“I really don’t care what you expect of me. I wanted to escape and that’s what I’m going to do!” he snarled losing all of his charming voice. Kagura looked at them and smirked. “Let’s see how Lord Naraku thinks when I tell him one of his servants tried to help the miko and her kit escape, shall we? I know he will be very pissed off. The punishment for doing this would most likely be death.” Kagura purred as she walked around Hiraki.
Hiraki moved closer to where Kagome was standing. They looked at Kagura disgusted with the way she was talking about Naraku. They knew Naraku was no lord!! “I thought that you despised Naraku, Kagura. Why are you going to tell him we tried to escape?” Kagome looked at Kagura to prove her point.
Kagura looked at Kagome and smirked. “I do despise Lord Naraku, little miko. I have to tell him or he will kill me. He holds my heart in his hands and can kill me at any time. Better you two, than me.” Kagura said as she walked over to the gates.
`Lord Naraku, you have to get down to the gates. Your prisoners and one of your servants are trying to escape. They are at the gates!!!` Naraku awoke at this telepathic message. `I didn’t know Kagura knew telepathy. She probably had Kanna send this message to me. What! Kagura, keep them at the gates. I’m coming down there!!!` he roared at Kagura through the link.
Kagura looked at Kagome, Shippo, then Hiraki and smirked. “Lord Naraku is on his way here, little miko. He is not very happy. You should be very worried little miko. Your friend Hiraki is most likely going to die.” she said wryly. Kagura moved to the side and Naraku walked down the main steps.
“Kagome, my little miko, are you trying to escape me? We were getting along just fine. Why do you want to go? Have I been so cruel that you want to escape me? You even turned one of my best servants against me.” Naraku said, innocently.
Kagome looked at Naraku and scowled at him angrily. “Of course I want to escape you, Naraku. Your scent really offends my nose. The whole castle smells like sulfur, clay, and ashes. Wait a minute, you smell like Kikyo!!! What was she doing with you? You have been cruel to my son when he didn’t answer your questions. When he didn’t answer you, you tried to beat it out of him! It’s a good thing he didn’t say anything to you. Oh, and I didn’t turn Hiraki against you, he wanted to escape!!!!” Kagome spat. Hiraki nodded in agreement. Suddenly, the ground began to shake.
“What’s happening now? Kagura, go see what’s going on!!!” Naraku yelled. Kagura went to the window and looked out. “It’s the miko’s friends and Sesshomaru. What are we going to do? All they have to do is bust down the final gate and then the front door!” Kagura said worriedly. Naraku glared at Kagura. “Go and welcome them then! I’ll deal with Hiraki then deal with the miko and her kit!!” he growled.
Hiraki glared at Naraku. “I may not be powerful enough to defeat you, but I can keep you busy long enough so Kagome-sama’s friends and Sesshomaru -sama can come here!” he exclaimed. Hiraki unsheathed his sword and charged at Naraku. He blocked Hiraki’s attack with one of his tentacles. “What the hell was that?” Hiraki yelled.
Naraku smirked at the look on Hiraki’s face. “My tentacles are as sharp and strong as a sword. I guess you didn’t know that though.” He then came up behind Hiraki and attacked. (Think when he was disguised as Inuyasha and attacked Kikyo.) Hiraki was bleeding, but not badly.
Kagome was very worried about Hiraki. She set Shippo down and asked him to turn into a bow. She remembered finding a room with training supplies when she was shown around the castle and had an idea. She grabbed the bow and ran into the room behind her to get a quiver of arrows.
`Naraku’s good for something!!` She knocked the arrow and fired at Naraku. He dodged it and glared heatedly at Kagome. “That’s not going to save your new friend!” Kagome growled at him and asked, “Are you so sure? My friends are almost here!!”
Kagura was pretty beat up. Inuyasha had been using the Wind Scar to knock down the gates. Everyone ran past the fallen Kagura. They didn’t even stop and try to destroy her. They finally made it through the last gate. Kagura knew that it was her time to leave. “Good luck in trying to beat Naraku!!” she yelled and floated away on her huge feather. Sesshomaru knocked down the front door with his Tokijin. They ran in and saw Naraku fighting a youkai that was somewhat beat up.
Sango looked around the room and saw Kagome and Shippo off to the side. They ran over to them and asked “Who is that demon fighting Naraku? Whoever he is, is he on our side?” Kagome looked over to them and nodded. “He’s on our side. His name is Hiraki. He helped us try to escape. You have to help him!!” She said, her voice desperate.
Miroku looked at Hiraki and felt the need to help him. “If he was helping you try to escape, we have to help him.” He agreed as Sango ran over to where they were battling and threw her boomerang between them shouting “Hiraikotsu!” She then caught her boomerang after it came back to her. She ran over to where Inuyasha was. “We have to help him, he tried to help Kagome and Shippo escape!’” she told him in a hurry.
Kagome heard what Sango said and had to stop her. “Sango, we have to get Naraku away from Hiraki then learn what he is planning to do, especially because he smells like Kikyo!!” she yelled.
Naraku heard what Kagome said and smirked. “I smell like Kikyo because she is helping me. She wants to see Inuyasha dead and the little miko to die so she can get her soul back.” he said.
(I don’t own Evanescence’s song Tourniquet!!!!!! The song belongs to them, not me!!! I think this song fits with what is going on in the story!!!!)

Have you checked her neck where the demon mating mark is supposed to be? She has one. The once pure miko that protected the Shikon no Tama is my mate! She can never be yours, you stupid, mangy mutt.”

Inuyasha was completely enraged. “How dare you touch my Kikyo! You bastard, what are you planning to do with her!!!?’ he yelled at Naraku.

Naraku walked up to the foot of the stairs. “I plan resurrect Kikyo, Midoriko, Hiro, Inutaisho, and Mira to make them destroy you. Then, they could be my slaves. Kikyo will become flesh and blood so that she can bear me heirs!” He said evilly.

Sesshomaru, Kagome, and Inuyasha snarled loudly. “Don’t you even try to bring back our parents and try to turn them against us!!” Inuyasha bellowed.
“You are too late my little pests, the necromancer is already halfway done! All I had to do was distract you.” Naraku cackled.
