Chapter nine
Ryukotsusei’s brother and the missing books
Kagome has been awake since sunrise. She really didn’t know why she woke up that early. She thought it most likely was because she is a demon now. To make time pass faster, she snuggled into the navy blue silk sheets of her bed, trying to fall asleep.
Just when she was falling asleep, there was a loud knock on the door. A female kitsune came in, carrying a blue and silver kimono. “Milady, Lord Sesshomaru wants you to go to the ballroom. Everyone is there for the meeting that he requested.” she said and handed the kimono to Kagome so she could put it on. Kagome looked at her and nodded. “What is your name?” she asked politely.
Kagome could see that the kitsune was very surprised. “My name is Kasumi, I am the head servant here but I am under Jaken in rank. You are different from other youkai, no one even bothers to ask my name.” she said softly.
Kagome was finished dressing and turned around. “Well, I guess I am different from other youkai. To tell you the truth, I have spent sixteen years disguised as a human. I really don’t care if I’m different from the other youkai. Being different means you’re not a copy of everyone else. I love being different, It really suits me.” she explained. Kasumi could see her logic. She knew that she would get along well with Kagome.
“Can you show me where the ballroom is? I don’t know where in the world it is. I would be lost if I tried to look for it.” Kagome said sheepishly. Kasumi smiled and nodded her head. “Of course Kagome-sama, the castle is really big and confusing. I was lost the first time I came here.” she replied.
“Please don’t call me milady, Kagome-sama or any other formal name! I just want to be called Kagome.” Kagome said as she looked at Kasumi pleadingly. “How about this Kagome-sama, I’ll call you Kagome when no one else is around and call you Kagome-sama when people are around.” Kasumi said trying to do what Kagome wanted. Kagome nodded her head enthusiastically. “That will work Kasumi!!” Kasumi smiled and said, “Follow me.” as she walked out the door.
Kagome followed Kasumi down a long, beautifully decorated hallway. They stopped at two huge doors. Kagome gawked at what was engraved in them. She saw the true form of Sesshomaru howling at the moon. “Kagome, it’s time to go inside!” Kasumi said as she pushed her into the ballroom.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*Youko’s POV~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
I heard the door open an looked over to see who it was. I gasped audibly. A tenchi was walking toward us. She was so beautiful.
Her hair was a silvery blue with black and crimson streaks. Her eyes are like sparkling sapphires with streaks of silver. I couldn’t stop admiring her form. My hands itched to touch her…It didn’t matter where!! All I had to know what her name was and what her voice sounds like and it would be official, I would definitely court her!!
The small kitsune that was in the taijiya’s arms ran to the tenchi screaming “mama!!” I couldn’t believe that this beautiful tenchi was mated. Wait a minute, she couldn’t be the mother of the kitsune, she is a shadow inuyoukai.
She isn’t mated to anyone either because she is pure. The kitsune would be a mixed breed!!! He then heard his angel’s voice. It was soft and sweet. She walked over to the seat next to the half breed and to the right of Sesshomaru. The kitsune settled in her lap, looking content.

“Well, are we going to get this meeting started? I want to get the ingredients for the cure as soon as possible!!!” demanded Kagome. Sango looked at the angry Kagome.
“Calm down, little sister. We will get the ingredients to help Midoriko, Hiro, Inutaisho, and Mira. You just have to be patient.” She said as she soothed the angry Kagome.
Youko and Kentaru gaped at what they heard. “Midoriko and Hiro are your parents? Show us the sun that you would be on your forehead!!” they yelled.
Kagome looked at them and lifted her bangs. “It’s true! She really is the princess of the eastern lands!!” Youko and Kentaru yelled. “I am that person. We need to get this meeting started!!” Kagome said firmly.
“We have to wait for Akira to show up. He has a habit for showing up to any event late. Well, speak of the devil! the sneaky dog is finally here!” Kentaru said with a laugh.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*Akira’s POV~*~*~*~*~*~*
Kentaru, Youko, and Sesshomaru were sitting at a large table. I looked down the table and couldn’t believe my eyes. A beautiful female inuyoukai, a young kitsune youkai, a monk, a taijiya, a inuyoukai hanyou, a fire cat, and a shadow kitsune were sitting at the table like they belonged there!!!
I looked back at the tenchi at the table. I looked at her eyes and noticed something familiar about her. I looked where the demon royalty mark should be and my breath stopped. She was the princess of the eastern lands!!!!

“If she is the princess of the eastern lands, she’ll have to fight me and win to get them from me!!!” Akira said loudly. Youko and Kentaru looked over to where he was standing. “She won’t have to fight you for the eastern lands at all. Midoriko, Hiro, Mira, and Inutaisho are alive!!” Youko said excitedly. “They are still alive??!!! How can they be alive!!! I saw their dead corpses!!” Akira yelled.
“A necromancer resurrected them to destroy Kagome-sama, Inuyasha and Sesshomaru-sama.” Hiraki said loudly. “Well, what are we all here for?” Akira said loudly. Kagome looked at him sternly. “We need to gather the materials for the cure for the spell that our parents are under. We need a tear of the phoenix, the hair of a unicorn, the claw of a fire dragon, and five northern black moonflowers for each person.” Kagome said as she looked at Kentaru, Youko, and Akira. A look of shock came over their faces.
“No one has seen the unicorn! The youkai that claim to see them are either drunk or stupid!!” exclaimed Akira. Inuyasha looked at Akira with a glare. “I don’t care what you say!! I want to save my father!! I can actually get the chance to talk to him now!!!” he bellowed.
“So the son of the great Inutaisho and a whore finally speaks. Good thing he killed the stupid two-timing slut and went back to Mira.” Akira said loudly hoping to get a reaction from Inuyasha. Inuyasha was so close to slitting his throat. “You have no right to say that my mother is a whore!!! My father didn’t kill her, she was killed by a panther demon!!” he yelled in denial.

Inuyasha couldn’t believe what he heard. He felt Kagome shaking him. He turned to her and asked, “What’s wrong, wench?” Kagome looked at him with worry in her eyes. “The aura I’m sensing…It feels like Ryukotsusei’s aura!!” she declared.
Everyone in that room knew that Ryukotsusei was dead. They heard that from reliable sources. They didn’t know how he came back to life, but they would find out how he did. Suddenly the castle shook and a loud explosion followed.
They ran to where the noise came from and gasped. The room was burned and the furniture was in ashes. They looked out the huge hole in the roof and stared. A large black dragon was holding the books that had to do with the cure for the spell. “If I can’t kill you now because my master told me not to, I’ll stop you from resurrecting my brother’s sealer. Remember my name. I am Ryukatsei.” the dragon said as it flew off.
Kagome looked at everyone in the room. “We need to find that dragon!! The books he has is the only way we will know how to break the spell!! We have to get them back!!” Kagome yelled.
