Through the well

 

'It had been at least two days' the hanu thought to himself as he ran past the trees, getting ever closer to the well, and Kagome. 'Maby I'll finally be able to meet her father......who knows.....wait, WHAT IF HE'S JUST LIKE HER??? I CAN HARDLY HANDLE ONE KAGOME!!!!' This thought haunted him until he reached the well. 'Now or never' he thought ,and he took the plunge. The all-to-familiar ring of blue light engulfed his body as he fell deeper and deeper into well.

As he arrived on the other side he noticed what a crummy day it was, clouds covered the skies as rain fell steadly onto the already soaked ground.

'Maby I should use the front door this time' Inuyasha pondered 'Instead of Kagome's window, this being the first impression I will make on her father....' (A/N- I know Inuyasha is being very uptight, but think, where -- or when-- he comes from it is always important to makea good impression on the head of the family)

He reached the door and roughly knocked it several times. (By now he was all wet and starting to get in a mood) A few moments passed-nothing happend. He knocked a second time only to hear someone (a male voice) yell with anger. He heard scuffeling and the door slowly opened.

There standing before him was Kagome, if you could call it standing. She was slumping, rather, agenst the door frame,blood oozing from several points on her head, and from the corner of her mouth. She was covered in bruises and it looked like she hadn't changed her clothing from the time she came home, even though now it was shredded into bits and hanging loosely from her body.

"Wa-wa-what happend?" was all that Inuyasha's throat allowed him to say,shock took over his body and he just stood there, frozen in place, as a statue.

For the first time in what felt like years, Kagome started to feel safe once again, Inuyasha was there, everything was going to be o.k. Things started to spin, and she felt herself being torn from reality, her extensive pain was now starting to dull, and the last thing she said before darkness took her completely, "Inuyasha"

It was barely a wisper, but he could hear it loud and clear. She needed him. And as her body started to slide down the doorway, leaving a trail of blood, he caught her.

"Its o.k. Kagome, I've got you, everything is going to be o.k."
