Chapter 2-

"Hello?"

"Miroku, I got a job offer."

The boy on the other end of the phone snorted.

"Rite."

"So did you."

Miroku sighed. "Don't make me laugh."

"Don't believe me, huh? Well, I'll just drive my new company car to your house, k?"

"Rite. Cya."

"Later." Inu yasha smirked, cutting across a sharp corner, with his new silver Mercedes convertible.

"Miss Kagome, you have a phone call."

Kagome looked up from her magazine. "Who is it?"

"Sesshoumaru."

Kagome's face lit up. He must have found the new bodyguards! Kagome instantly stood up and grabbed the phone. "Hello?"

"Miss Kagome, how are you today?"

"Have you found them yet?"

Sesshoumaru chuckled lightly. "Impatient, my dear?"

Kagome frowned. He was teasing her. "Yes, so hurry up."

"All right. All right. I have only found the two male bodyguards."

Kagome smiled. "Who are they?"

"My brother and his friend. I'm training them as we speak." Gun shoots where suddenly heard and Kagome jumped.

"Guns already? They must be good."

Sesshoumaru sighed. "Yes, there are good."

"But…?"

"Physically, the are both excellent. But they-" Sesshoumaru's sentence was cut off by a long string of curses. A look of understanding crossed Kagome's face.

"Oh."

"Yeah."

Kagome suddenly grinned. "Sesshoumaru, since there already training, I want them to accompany me to a ball that will be held in 2 months."

Sesshoumaru looked over to the battered dummy that was used as a target. All the internal organs had been shot along with any other vital spots. He watched as Inuyasha looked carefully at all the weapons laid out in front of him. Inuyasha picked up a gigantic stick with a deadly spike on the end and started the makeshift obstacle course he had made. Soon he was nothing, but a blur, destroying anything in his way with a quick flick of his wrist.

Then Sesshoumaru looked over to Miroku who was fiddling with a makeshift bomb, carefully cutting wires, picking up all sorts of instruments. His cry of triumph was soon heard and Sesshoumaru noticed that his dummy was also in ruins. Sesshoumaru inwardly smiled, proud of his brother and his friend

"They'll be ready."

*Knock Knock*

A girl with chocolate brown eyes, looked up. A smile graced her delicate features. "Come in."

"Hey sis."

Sango squealed as she ran straight into a tall boy, her ponytail swishing behind her.

"Kohaku, what are you doing here? I thought you were in the States."

The boy now known as Kohaku grinned. "I came to see my little sister, of course."

Sango laughed. She was so happy to see her older brother again.

"Hey Sango, do you still have the cute pink dress that mum gave you?"

Sango laughed again. She remembered when she first wore that dress, her overprotective brother had followed her everywhere, threatening any guy that had talked or even looked at her. And when she came home, he had warned her never to wear that dress again, unless he was there.

"Yeah, I wore it for my boyfriend." Sango giggled, as she watched her brother's eyes narrow.

"Oh really?"

"Yeah."

Before Sango had a chance to blink, her brother had tackled her to the ground. Then he started tickling her mercilessly.

"Ko..ko..haku…stop…st..op" Sango said between laughs, but her brother continued with his torture.

Later, after dinner, when Kohaku had finally decided to stop tickling Sango, they decided to have an old-fashioned "brother-sister" talk.

Sango plopped onto her brother's lap. "So, why were you asking about the dress?"

Kohaku grinned. "Well, next week, my friend is going to some ball, and she asked if I wanted to come because she had some spare tickets. And she said I could bring a date."

Sango looked up at her brother. "You want me to come as your date?"

"Yeah, I get to show off my cute little sister."

Sango's face broke into a gigantic smile. She knew her brother could have brought any girl he wanted. But instead he decided to go with her. Sango leaned up and kissed her brother's cheek. "Love to."

Sesshoumaru's jaw started to twitch. His little brother and his friend were late, and he was growing impatient. Although his face showed no emotion, Sesshoumaru's leg started moving up and down, rapidly gaining speed as his anger grew.

"Nasty habit you got there, big bro."

Sesshoumaru stood and whirled around at his brother. He and his friend were standing there, grinning. Sesshoumaru felt his left eye start to twitch. Growling, he grabbed both of them by the collars and threw them in the waiting limo. Hopping in shortly afterwards.

"Miss Kagome, Mr. Sesshoumaru is waiting outside."

Kagome looked up as her secretary spoke. She nodded. "Tell him, I'll be down in a moment."

The secretary nodded and left. Kagome checked her hair and makeup one last time, and grabbed her coat and purse and headed down stairs.

As she descended the steps, Kagome was greeted with the sight of Sesshoumaru straightening a grumbling boy's tie. She smiled. Taking their lack of attention to study the three men waiting for her.

Sesshoumaru was there, charming as usual. He was wearing a silvery-grey suit with a gold tie that matched his eyes. Next to Sesshoumaru, a young man with dazzling violet eyes, with his black hair pulled into a low ponytail, wore black dress pants and a matching jacket with a purple silk shirt underneath, a few buttons undone, giving a hint of his chest.

The last man looked very much like Sesshoumaru. His silver hair hung loosely around him, cascading down his back. His amber eyes held an intensity that Sesshoumaru's didn't have. He wore what the other young man wore, but his shirt was a deep red, and unbuttoned more. Kagome noticed a tie lying on the floor, beside the silver-head boy.

"You look beautiful, Kagome."

Kagome turned her attention to Sesshoumaru. She smiled. "You're just saying that."

Sesshoumaru raised an eyebrow. "This Sesshoumaru does not lie." And he was right. Kagome was beautiful. Her black hair was pulled into a pretty bun, with a few strands framing her face. She had on a midnight blue dress, that hugged her form at just the right places, and it flared out at the bottom. A few sparkles were dotted here and there. A slight tinge of makeup was added on, but wasn't necessary at all.

Kagome smiled and twirled around, her diamond necklace sparkling. "You're too kind."

Sesshoumaru took her arm in his, and directed her to the two, suddenly very quiet, boys.

"Kagome, this is Miroku." Sesshoumaru said, pointing to the dark-haired boy first. "And this is my brother, Inuyasha."

Kagome nodded to both. She was excited to get to know these boys. Especially Inuyasha. She was just about to say something, when her cell phone rang.

"Hello?"

"Hey Kags, how have you been doing?"

"Good thanks. You?"

"I'm good, just wondering if you were ever coming to the ball."

Kagome looked at the clock hanging on the wall. 7:30, the ball started at 6! "Crap. Look, I'll cya later." Snapping her phone shut, she grabbed Sesshoumaru's hand. "We're late!"
