Bullet to the Heart Ch. 3
The doors opened to reveal a huge hallway. It was a master hall that branched out to many other halls. Sango was busy looking all over the place at the sculptures and paintings lining the walls to see the faint grin on Inuyasha's face. 'It gets everyone the first time' Inuyasha could remember the first time he was allowed into "The Hallway" as it was called.
The pair walked in silence straight down the marble Hallway, their boots clicking against the cold stone. They went down about three quarters of the way before Inuyasha stopped motioned to a pair of etched glass doors.
"That is where my half brother Brigadier General Sesshoumaru is located. He is in Military Intelligence; he thinks he is too great for the Special Forces. Ha Ha. I could whip him in a second. Anyway, Major lets continue." Inuyasha again started walking down the Hallway to the end where another pair of huge Oak doors where located with two Panther Demons guarding it.
Inuyasha again mumbled some growling syllables to the demons to which they stepped aside and let him open the door. He told the Major to go on inside. As Sango walked in he quickly turned to the nearest guard and punched him right in the face and gave the next one the finger as he walked inside the office and closed the door.

Sango didn't know what to do as Inuyasha closed the door with a smug grin on his face. If she wasn't mistaken she thought she even heard him laugh to himself. As soon as the Colonel was inside he snapped to attention and saluted, not knowing what to do Sango followed his lead.
"Colonel Inuyasha and Major Sango reporting, Sir" Inuyasha bellowed out.
It was at this time Sango's eyes adjusted to the darkness. She was able to see a magnificent desk that had to be centuries old and behind it was a huge leather office chair turned to where its back faced them. She couldn't help but notice the slight trail of smoke coming from a burning cigar hanging from a hand just on the right side of the chair.
"At ease" Spoke a voice with such command and authority Sango was tempted to stay at attention when she dropped her salute. She followed Inuyasha up closer to the desk and sat down in one of the two chairs facing the desk. It was at this time the chair turned around and she was able to see the man sitting in it.
He was a short man, couldn't be more than 40 if even that. He wore the uniform of a four star admiral. Service medals decorated his chest and all was in order on his uniform except for a nameplate. His eyes looked a light blue, but his face had the hardness of command about it, his hair brown and thick. He was clean shaven except for the large goatee he sported. Sango watched as he took a puff of his cigar, he did so holding it as a gentleman, which meant he had class about him. She also noticed how clean and organized his desk was. The only thing out of place was a lighter and ashtray.
All of Sango's thoughts of how proper and commanding the Admiral was were shattered as he put the cigar down, stood up, and held out his hand to Inuyasha with a huge grin on his face.
"Howdy, Inuyasha. It's been awhile. I do believe you've got yourself a new ExO. Allow me to introduce myself ma'am. I am The Admiral." He said while he extended his hand to the Major, as he finished shaking her hand he sat down and looked back to Inuyasha.
"She has a strong and mighty fine handshake Colonel. She will make an excellent addition to your team. Oh, by the way, I just got word you ended up sending that Panther demon to sickbay. He's gonna have a rough time with a broken nose being my guard." The Admiral laughed.
"Well, seein' as ya'll came all the way down here I s'pect ya'll want your orders. They are in the folder in front of ya Colonel." The Admiral looked at him, then at Sango. "Major I don't need to explain it to him, but I must tell you. If you are found out in any manner we will deny everything. We will not even acknowledge your existence or the existence of demons, for you will not find anything outside this building that would suggest demons exist and further more work for the military. Do I make myself clear?"
Sango nodded an affirmative. She could see this man was all fun and games until it came down to business. With that Inuyasha rose up and grabbed the folder off the top of the desk, saluted and started walking to the door. Sango could only follow suit. As she turned she heard
"Oh, and Sango. No matter what that Son of a Bitch tells you about me, it ain't true. 'Cept the part were I like cigars. If you wanna to get on my good side, get a box of Cubans past the guards." The Admiral again laughed as he saw the Major walk out of the room.
As Inuyasha was on his way out he was distracted by the Admiral's last statement and never noticed a fist flying straight for him. Thankfully, Sango was on his heels, she had the Panther Demon's hand caught; she turned to him and put her knee straight into the Demon's crotch, he slumped to the ground as an immobilized crab.
The Colonel had watched all this in amazement and could barely keep his composure as he walked down the Hallway with the Major and out the doors. He believed the Major was going to fit right in with his unit.

"Looks like we have one week to prepare for the operation." Inuyasha said to Sango as she looked over the file that was given to them by the Admiral.
Sango nodded her agreement as she read on. It looked like a terrorist cell that was getting to big for the military's comfort. At a precise time the team would parachute to an undisclosed location in the desert to intercept the convoy they retrieve their gear from and travel with them to the supposed meeting of the leaders of the terrorist organization. The plan was to take as many alive as possible, but deaths were also acceptable.
Inuyasha was trying to get a mental sort of were he wanted his men on the different positions that would have to be taken. But, he found himself unable to concentrate yet again. That scent was making him feel drugged. That lavender and mint scent, 'Is that some kind of shampoo or soap she uses? God, it smells wonderful. Especially mixed with her scent when she is in heat.' Inuyasha had to get out of the room, the tent growing in his pants was embarrassing enough. He also didn't want to start screaming at Sango to leave. As soon as she was out of heat it would be fine, almost pleasant and calming. He got up to leave and was almost out the door when Sango called to him.
"Colonel, I have a personal question for you sir."
"Keh, what do you want now Bitch?" Inuyasha said, trying not to be offending. It was just that he called all females that as a half dog demon.
"This is very embarrassing sir, but...could I...Could I touch your ears sir?" Sango turned red as soon as she got the words out.
Inuyasha was shocked beyond belief. He knew his ears caused attention but he had thought the Major was more professional than that. He gathered up all his strength to say no, but soon he found himself standing next to her and lowered his head to one side.
Sango couldn't help herself. She giggled like a schoolgirl as soon as she got ahold of one of his furry ears. She began to rub her thumb on it around in circles and soon had the other ear in her other hand doing the same. Sango noticed Inuyasha's eyes closed and he face relaxed into a state of near total bliss. She also heard a faint growling sound emanating from his chest, almost like purring. Then she heard him lightly moan and she took her hands away thinking she had hurt him in some way.
Inuyasha silently cursed himself for letting the moan escape his mouth. No one had ever brought him such satisfaction as she did when she rubbed his ears.
"Why'd, you stop?" Inuyasha asked quietly.
"I...I heard you moan I thought I hurt you. I know your ears are extremely sensitive." Sango said, relief was in her tone, knowing she hadn't injured him.
"Keh, my ears are extremely sensitive to sounds, but they are even more sensitive to touch. I will have to let you do that again sometime when we are off duty, Major. I enjoyed that, it was...relaxing"
'It was far more than that' Inuyasha thought, as he felt that a part of himself was solid as steel. With that Inuyasha bolted from the room to go find a secluded place where he could take care of a major problem in some privacy.

Evening mess with the unit was a blast. The Colonel's team all ate together in a family style setting. Inuyasha had said it made them more of a team that way. Jokes and stories were passed around the table as much as the food was. However, the entertainment was much better than the food.
Sango had decided to sit by Flower. She noticed that the Lt. was extremely shy and didn't open up to many people. But, as soon as the Major set down, Katari immediately asked how she was. The two women were joined shortly by another of the unit's females. They had run off all the males by the end of the night with their endless "woman chatter" they had heard it called as Magic left the room. Soon even the women had to head off to sleep.
The Major walked into the room, just as she heard a low howl emanate from the room housing the shower. She was getting used to Inuyasha's habits, but this was a shock to her. It brought memories of the other growls that she had heard from him when Inuyasha didn't think she was present while he was showering. Soon she had forgot about the whole thing as she drifted off into the clutches of sleep.
Inuyasha stepped out of the shower dried and pulled on his briefs. His sense of smell was instantly bombarded with that lavender and mint heavenly smell. Only this time there was no trace of a Bitch in heat. For that he was glad, he would be able to sleep tonight peaceful and without worry.
He glanced down at the sleeping Major and ran his tongue along his lips, wanting to taste her. 'She is my Executive Officer' Inuyasha kept telling himself. Though he knew in many demon units with a female and a male as a commanding officer and executive officer they were normally mates. Seeing as it was the Alpha male and Alpha female in charge.
Maybe the Admiral was trying to tell him something. Sango had not seen it but the Admiral had given Inuyasha a wink when he was saying what a fine addition she would make to the team. The Admiral had also left a hand written letter for Inuyasha to find that had simply said, "She has a wonderful body, there is no denying that. She is a good person my boy. Don't let her get away from you. If she does, I will personally see to it that you never see action again and will be my personal office aide for the rest of your career. P.S., Thanks for the Cubans." Did the Admiral actually think Inuyasha would possibly take the Major as his mate? With that on his mind Inuyasha laid down on his bed and went to sleep breathing in Sango's wonderful calming scent with each breath he took.
