The sun was rising and Inuyasha had transformed into his half demon state. He soon was able to disentangle himself from Sango without waking her and went to the lounge. He hadn't had any sleep at all last night and he knew he wouldn't get much tonight. He sat down on the couch and started to doze off.
Magic was entering the lounge when he saw Inuyasha asleep on the couch. He went quietly and got himself a cup of coffee, and then he left the lounge to get the unit ready for the day's routine. Magic had them fall in and briefed them on the day's training. As he finished and dismissed them he noticed a black car driving onto the base. He knew those cars; those were the cars that the Military Intelligence used.
The car pulled up and out of the back stepped a demon with long silver hair, two pairs of stripes on his cheeks, and a blue crescent moon on his forehead. He had a Brigadier General's uniform on with his left sleeve pinned up. Magic saluted him and he returned the salute with precision. Then he spoke in a flat tone.
"Where might I find Colonel Inuyasha, Captain?" The General asked.
"Sir, the Colonel is not to be disturbed at the moment, sir." Magic replied, he'd dealt with these Military Intelligence dumbass officers before.
"Captain, I will speak with him in his office immediately. Now, go and fetch him." Sesshoumaru glared at the kitsune youkai.
"Sir, maybe the General didn't hear me sir. But, the Colonel is not to be disturbed." 'He He, get around that one you Jackass' Magic thought as he replied.
"Do not presume that I am deaf Captain. This is a direct order from a superior officer, fetch the Colonel now or I shall have you court-martialed." Sesshoumaru knew that the kitsune would crack sooner or later, everyone did with him.

Inuyasha was soon being shaken awake and a cup of black coffee was being thrust into his hands. He opened his eyes and saw a very nervous and bruised Magic trying to get him to get to his feet. When Inuyasha complied he found himself being shoved to his office.
He stood there for a minute trying to get his wits about him when he noticed the figure in the corner - his half brother, Brigadier General Sesshoumaru of Military Intelligence. So that was why Magic was so nervous and bruised.
"You can't just come in here and beat up my officers like that you fucking bastard." Inuyasha said hotly.
"That is no way to speak to a superior officer, Colonel." Sesshoumaru said calmly.
"By rank yes, but in no means by the person in general. What the fuck are you doing here?" Inuyasha replied.
"It looks like your Lt. Colonel Daimon has gone missing. We haven't heard from his team for 2 days. This involves you because his team was sent before yours to stage as a backup in case you foul things up." Sesshoumaru told the story of how they lost communication and couldn't get a fix on his or any of his members' location.
Inuyasha was having trouble taking all this in with his lack of sleep and hearing that his best friend had gone missing on an op. He knew Sesshoumaru wouldn't lie to him, but he couldn't understand how Daimon could just disappear with a whole unit. He would have found someway to let command know what happened to him. Inuyasha noticed Sesshoumaru had stepped closer to him and was sniffing him.
"Little brother, I see you are courting a mate. Who is the lucky female?" Sesshoumaru asked, teasing his brother.
"None of your fucking business. Why haven't you sent a rescue team after Daimon's team?" Inuyasha was beginning to get extremely agitated.
"I am afraid it is my business since I am the elder brother. There is no rescue team. It is to hot in that area to risk sending in another team. I have been provided with a copy of his orders; they are sitting on your desk. I want your team to look for any trace of Lt. Colonel Daimon while you are on your mission. Your mission is top priority though, do you understand?" Sesshoumaru looked and saw Inuyasha nod. The General knew that Inuyasha cared for the Wolf demon but hoped that Inuyasha would focus on the primary mission.
"Inuyasha, as your elder brother you have my consent for you to take Major Sango as your mate." With that Sesshoumaru turned to walk out the door.
"How the hell did you know, Sesshoumaru?" Inuyasha was stunned.
"Come come, little brother. I did not achieve the rank of Brigadier General in Military Intelligence, just for digging up information on you and your choice of a bitch." With that Sesshoumaru walked out of the office, leaving a fuming Hanyou.

Sango went to Inuyasha's office as soon as she awoke. With a brief stop by the lounge for a cup of very strong, very black coffee. When filling up her cup she glanced over at the couch and saw Magic with an ice pack over his eye. When Sango asked what had happened the only thing he would tell her is that Military Intelligence was here.
Inuyasha glanced up as Sango came in the door and she asked him what Magic was so worked up about. The Colonel just leaned back in his chair and explained his encounter with his brother, letting Sango see the information in the file he had been given that was a copy of the Lt. Colonel's orders.
"Also, you should know my brother gave his consent for us to mate." Inuyasha said blushing slightly.
"You needed his permission?" Sango queried.
"Not exactly, but it is good to have it. It just means he approves of our joining. Not that I would care if he approved or not." Inuyasha explained.
"So when are we going to......." Sango let the end drag hoping Inuyasha would pick up on it.
"Mate?, I was thinking tonight. The Admiral gave me the house as a mating gift. Ha Ha. The Old Man has wanted this to happen for a while. The house is a place for you and me to get away from life around here at the base." Inuyasha looked to Sango to see if she agreed.
The Major smiled at her future mate. She couldn't wait to become his. She had been alone for a long time now, ever since her brother had killed their family. She went and saw him from time to time, but he didn't know who she was at all.

That evening at mess Inuyasha turned over command of the unit to Magic for the night. Tonight was going to be a relaxation night. The unit was encouraged to play games and talk with one another the whole nightlong. The next day they would start to leave for the operation.
Inuyasha checked out a car from the Quartermaster and soon he and Sango were off to the Ranch house that was given to them. Both were still in uniform and both were shaking with anticipation. Inuyasha could barely keep his hands on the wheel as he detected Sango's arousal; it was strong and thick as molasses.
When they arrived Inuyasha took Sango into his arms and walked into the house going up to the bedroom. Inuyasha breathed in deeply, inhaling Sango's scent.
