Thank you for the responses. I've decided to go ahead and write another chapter It's wonderful the way a good review can inspire an author to go ahead write more.

As I said before, the final chapter is done. I already had the couple's identity set in my mind when I set up the story. The same goes for the baby. I'm not changing who the couple is nor did I change them at any other time.

I originally had a totally different storyline in mind. In modern times the young lady was mountain climbing when storm hit, forcing her to take shelter in a cave. In the feudal times the youkai also took shelter in the same cave.

But the cave was a portal, similar to the well, but different in certain ways. Inside the cave you could see both times in a haze. Think of a picture that had double exposure, two different pictures, making it look like there was an illusion or a ghost image of another land over one scene.

When both the girl and the youkai entered the cave they were in an area that was outside main time-stream neither in modern or feudal times. They met each other in there, and he followed her to her time, they fell in love and had the baby.

Like I said , that was my original outline. After I had trouble writing it, I abandoned that outline in favor of the current one.

Where the main emphasis is on the mysterious identities of the couple and the baby. With this current outline, I've had little to no trouble writing.

The final chapter is written and typed up. With the added chapter before the ending, I will have a flashback that will either show or hint at how they couple came to be.

I will eventually have a sequel to Bundle of Joy. That story will center on the teenaged child of the couple. The mysterious cave WILL play a part of that story.

Maybe one day I might write a prequel to Bundle of Joy.
