Chapter 14

Embarrassment

"I think we should take Sesshomaru on his offer and kill him." Sango said.

"He's not worth it. I don't want to soil my hands with his blood." Kagome said.

"You're just saying that because you like him." Rin said.

"So you're unconsciously trying to save him from our wrath?" Sango teased.

"I am not. Kill him if you want I just don't think it's worth it." Kagome said blushing.

"We see the blush on your face don't deny it." Rin said.

"Let's just do our job ok?" Kagome said.

"Fine, fine Kagome but you can't deny or hide what you feel." Rin said.

"She's right Kagome. Trust me I tried and now I'm going out with a hentai." Sango said.

"You enjoy his gropes." Kagome said.

"Shut up." Sango said. She turned bright red in embarrassment, which was unusual because she only turned red in anger.

"Oh so it's true. It seems my sister is a little bit of a hentai too." Rin giggled. Kagome joined in her laughter.

"Rin, Kagome." Sango yelled.

"Uh oh." Kagome and Rin yelled in unison before taking off after the guys screaming. "Help, she's going to kill us!" They both cried out.

They barged into the room. Kagome hid behind Inuyasha and Rin ran behind Sesshomaru. They looked at them curiously. Sango ran into the room and Miroku caught her. "What's wrong?" He asked.

"Let me go, I'm going to kill them." Sango said trying to escape from his grasp.

"Why do you want to do that?" Miroku asked.

"Be...just because." Sango yelled.

"Come on Sango, we were just kidding." Rin said. "You wouldn't really kill you sister would you?"

"Or your best friend?" Kagome said peeking from behind Inuyasha.

"I can get a new friend and adopt another sister!" Sango yelled.

"That hurts, Sango." Rin said.

Sango stopped struggling and smiled. "Fine I won't kill you. Inuyasha I thought you might want to know that Kagome likes you a lot." She turned to Sesshomaru. "Rin thinks you're the most gorgeous guy she's ever seen. There, now I feel a lot better." She kissed Miroku on the nose and went back to the bar to clean up.

"Likes me a lot?" Inuyasha smirked.

"Most gorgeous guy you've ever seen?" Sesshomaru smiled.

"Umm, we got to go." Kagome and Rin said. They ran out of the room yelling Sango's name.

"Those are the craziest girls I've ever met." Miroku sighed. The guys went back to their conversation.

Kagome, Sango, and Rin had just gotten changed into decent clothing. The night wasn't so bad. There were a lot of guys at the club but most of them kept their hands to themselves.

"I think we should call a truce." Rin said.

"I agree." Sango said.

"Hai me too." Kagome said. "Well, I'm going home. See you guys tomorrow."

"Bye Kagome." Sango and Rin said and Kagome walked outside.

A couple minutes later the guys came out of the room. "Where's Kagome?" Inuyasha asked.

"She left a couple minutes ago." Sango said.

"Damn, I didn't think she'd left yet." Inuyasha muttered. He ran out of the club to catch up with her in his car.

"I think he likes her." Miroku said.

"Really? What gave you that idea?" Sango said sarcastically.

"So Sango, what should we do tomorrow?" Miroku asked.

"Who said we were doing anything?" Sango said.

"That was so cold Sango." Miroku said.

"I was kidding. How about we go out to dinner?" Sango said.

"Sounds like a date." Miroku said. "Pick you up at six before the club opens?"

"Don't be late." Sango said. "Come on Rin."

Rin was too busy kissing Sesshomaru to hear Sango. He had asked her about what Sango had said earlier. She blushed when he asked but admitted to saying it. He then smiled and dipped his head to kiss her.

"I think she'll get a ride from Sesshomaru then." Sango said. She kissed Miroku and walked out.

Inuyasha had driven a little ways before catching up with Kagome. He honked at her and signaled for her to get in. Kagome, not feeling like fighting with him just got in. "What is it with you and insisting in giving me rides?" Kagome asked.

"I don't want you walking around at night. It's not safe for someone like you to walk around alone at night." Inuyasha said.

"Someone like me?" Kagome asked.

"You know, someone as pretty as you are." Inuyasha said. Kagome blushed. "So, is what Sango said true?"

"I don't know what you're talking about." Kagome said even though she did. She crossed her arms and looked out the window.

"Don't lie to me. Sango said you like me a lot." Inuyasha smiled.

"Don't let that go to your head. I think you're a jerk." Kagome said.

"I'm not a jerk. What happened to all those times I was nice?" Inuyasha said.

Kagome remembered. "You're still a jerk." She said. Even though he was nice she still thought he was a jerk.

He stopped the car in front of her house. "I want to see you again." Inuyasha said.

"Why would I want to see you again?" Kagome asked.

Inuyasha smiled. She was going to make this difficult then so be it. He grabbed her chin gently and turned her toward him. "Because I can see it in your eyes." He whispered before kissing her.

Kagome instantly melted as soon as his lips touched hers. All thoughts of him being a jerk flew out of her head. She felt him lick her lips for entrance and without thinking Kagome opened her mouth.

His tongue slipped in and explored her mouth a little before breaking the kiss. "Tomorrow at noon for lunch?" He whispered.

Kagome nodded still mesmerized by the kiss. She got out of the car and walked up to her apartment. She opened the door and shut it before leaning against it and sliding to the floor.

That's when she realized what had happened. She'd agreed to go out with him again. She'd let him kiss her too. They hadn't even known each other for very long. She thought of him as an arrogant, cocky, jerk. And yet she still liked him. He was nice to her at times and helped her out.

Kagome took a shower and changed into her pajamas. She couldn't help it. She liked Inuyasha even though she didn't know him very well. She got into bed and went to sleep.

The next morning Kagome woke up to pounding. She got up and answered the door. That seemed to be where the noise was coming from. She opened the door and mumbled.

"Were you still in bed?" Inuyasha asked.

"What are you doing here so early?" Kagome asked.

"Early? It's noon. Remember lunch?" Inuyasha said. He then noticed her pajamas. She was wearing a light blue silk nightgown that stopped at mid thigh and showed a good amount of cleavage.

Kagome noticed him staring and looked down. Since she was half asleep she had forgotten to put on a robe. She woke up when she noticed him staring. "Hentai!" Kagome screamed and slammed the door shut.

"Oi, I wasn't staring." Inuyasha said. He knocked on the door. "Come on Kagome open the door. We were supposed to go out."

About a half an hour later Kagome let him in. She got tired of him banging on her door. Inuyasha was sitting on the couch drinking the tea she served him. She was in her room changing.

She came back out and sat on the couch. "Took you long enough to open the door." Inuyasha said.

"Your lucky I even opened the door. You didn't have to stare at me." Kagome said.

"Well if you were awake for our date on time, it wouldn't have happened." Inuyasha said.

"I can't help waking up late." Kagome defended herself.

"You could've at least set your alarm clock." Inuyasha said.

"You can leave you know." Kagome said.

"After I spent a half an hour trying to get you to open the door?" Inuyasha said.

"Let's just drop it ok? I woke up late for our date, and you got to see me in my pajamas." Kagome said.

"I've seen more of you at the club." Inuyasha said.

"You are such a pervert." Kagome said.

"I'm not Miroku." Inuyasha said.

"You might as well be. You're both perverts." Kagome said.

"I didn't mean to stare. I just didn't think you'd answer the door in your pajamas. Even if you call them pajamas." Inuyasha muttered.

"They are pajamas. Why do you come to the club every night? Just to look at us dressed up like we are?" Kagome said.

"No, I go to see Miroku." Inuyasha said.

"You can't be normal and visit him during the day? Or do you come by at the club as an extra to see us?" Kagome yelled.

"Fine, you want to know the real reason why I go to the club? I go to see you!" Inuyasha yelled.

Kagome was speechless. She didn't expect him to say that. "You could've asked to come over or something. At least then I wouldn't have thought you were a pervert!" Kagome yelled.

"I didn't know that you thought of me as a pervert. I didn't know I could just come over either." Inuyasha said.

"Well now you know. Who wouldn't have thought of you as a pervert? You came to the club every night." Kagome said.

"I told you why I did. I also told you that you're the only one I'm attracted to. So why wouldn't I make some stupid excuse just to see you?" Inuyasha yelled. He then grabbed her arms and pulled her to him to kiss her.

All of Kagome's anger for him died. She opened her mouth when he nibbled her bottom lip. Her arms went around his neck as he explored her mouth. His arms wrapped around her waist. They broke the kiss for air.

"So, do you still want to go eat?" Inuyasha asked.
