Chapter 34

Him Again

Job: Sesshomaru's Assistant
Personality: Loyal, respective but only to Sesshomaru
Looks: Pale complexion, bald, short

"Shippo." Inuyasha said. "You got lucky last night."

"I made you something Kagome." Shippo said ignoring Inuyasha.

"You did?" Kagome asked.

"Hai, because you moved in. I'll go get it." Shippo said. He ran to his room.

"Quit being so mean." Kagome hit Inuyasha.

"I wasn't being mean." Inuyasha said. "He interrupted us twice."

Kagome blushed remembering that. "He's just a kid." Kagome said.

Shippo walked towards Kagome and handed her a picture. "I painted it for you." Shippo said.

"Arigato." Kagome said. "It looks great."

It was a picture of her Inuyasha and Shippo. Shippo was in the middle wearing green pants and a lighter color green shirt. Inuyasha was wearing black pants with a red shirt. Kagome had a white dress. They were standing outside in the sun, holding hands. There were some clouds and trees behind them.

Kagome set it down on the table. "I think that's a great place to put it. Everyone can see it." Kagome said.

"Good job runt." Inuyasha said. The phone rang and Inuyasha got up to answer it.

"Thanks Shippo." Kagome said.

"Your welcome." Shippo smiled.

Inuyasha walked back into the living room. "I have to go see Sesshomaru about something." He said.

"I'll just take Shippo out to breakfast then." Kagome said.

"I'll go get dressed." Shippo said. He ran to his room.

Kagome walked into the room to get dressed. She put on a white sundress. Grabbing her purse and shoes she walked into the living room. Sitting on the couch she put her shoes on. Shippo came out of his room dressed. "Ready to go?" Kagome asked.

"Hai." Shippo said.

"Bye Inuyasha." Kagome said.

Inuyasha grabbed her arm and spun her around. "You can't leave without kissing me." Inuyasha said. He leaned down and captured her lips. He pulled back. "Now you can leave."

"That's not something for Shippo to see." Kagome said.

Kagome and Shippo were on their way out the door. "He'll have to learn sooner or later." Inuyasha laughed. Kagome shot him a dirty look before shutting the door.

"So where should we go Shippo?" Kagome asked as they walked down the street. "I'm not too familiar with this area."

"We could eat at Kawasaki's." Shippo said. "It's down the street."

"Okay then, we'll eat there." Kagome said. "So how is your painting going?"

"Good. I'm running out of paint though." Shippo said.

"How about I buy you some more paint after we eat?" Kagome said.

"Really?" Shippo asked excitedly.

"Hai." Kagome nodded. "We could pick up some other art stuff you might need too."

"Arigato." Shippo smiled.

Kagome was looking at Shippo when they were talking so she hadn't seen the person she had just bumped into. Kagome almost fell to the ground but was caught. "Arigato." Kagome said. "Gomen I wasn't paying attention to where...Hojo-kun?"

"Good morning Higurashi." Hojo said. He helped her stand up.

"What are you doing here?" Kagome asked.

"I came looking for you." Hojo said. "I thought we could go out to eat or something."

"How would you have found me? I moved." Kagome said.

"Your grandfather informed me of where you moved and gave me the address." Hojo smiled.

"Grandpa. How did he get my address?" Kagome wondered.

"You mean you didn't give it to him?" Hojo asked.

"I told my mother, but I never told him." Kagome said.

Shippo tugged on the bottom of her dress. "Are we going to go eat?" Shippo asked.

"Gomen Shippo." Kagome said. "If you'll excuse me Hojo-kun, Shippo and I were on our way to go eat."

"May I join you?" Hojo asked.

"Well, it was just going to be the two of us." Kagome said.

"I don't mind." Hojo said.

"Just let him come, I'm hungry." Shippo said. He couldn't believe this guy. He looked like an idiot.

"I guess since it's all right with Shippo." Kagome said. "Let's go."

Breakfast was uneventful. Hojo talked about the shrine and some things that were going on in his life. Hojo was a dull guy. Kagome and Shippo ate their meals quickly so they could get away from him. Shippo couldn't believe how dense this guy was. He may only be six but he knew this guy had ulterior motives.

They were standing outside the restaurant. "You didn't have to pay for the meal." Kagome said.

"It's okay." Hojo said. "I was wondering if you were still with that violent guy."

"Hai. I moved in with him." Kagome said.

Shippo rolled his eyes. He was right. "Kagome, are we going to the store yet?" Shippo asked.

"Hai, of course. Gomen Hojo-kun, but I promised Shippo." Kagome said. "It was nice seeing you again."

"Bye Higurashi, Shippo." Hojo waved.

Once they were out of sight Kagome sighed. "I didn't think he'd ever let us leave. Arigato Shippo."

"Your welcome. I don't like that guy." Shippo said. "He's an idiot."

"He's not the brightest person in the world." Kagome said. "Let's go get those paint supplies."

Kagome and Shippo didn't get back to the apartment until later that evening. After buying some paint they went to some other stores and saw a movie. They came back with a couple of shopping bags in each hand.

Kagome had bought some clothes for Shippo and herself as well as some paint supplies. She also let Shippo pick out some toys and a couple of movies. Kagome opened the front door and they both walked in.

"Ow, my feet hurt." Shippo said.

"I guess you're not used to walking so much." Kagome giggled.

"Where the hell have you two been?"

Kagome and Shippo both jumped at the angry voice. "You scared me." Kagome put a hand on her chest.

"Where were you?" Inuyasha asked again.

"We went to breakfast and a couple of stores." Kagome said. "I thought since I had the day off that Shippo wouldn't have to go to the daycare center."

"You could've came back and said something." Inuyasha said. "I thought you'd be here when I got back."

"He's definitely better than that other guy." Shippo mumbled. He grabbed his things and took them to his room. "Arigato Kagome."

"Your welcome Shippo." Kagome said.

"What other guy?" Inuyasha asked.

"I think Shippo meant Hojo-kun." Kagome said.

"Hojo-kun?" Inuyasha said. "You saw him today?"

"Hai, we had breakfast with him." Kagome said.

"You had breakfast with him?" Inuyasha asked.

"That's what I said." Kagome grabbed her things and took them to her room.

"You should stay away from him." Inuyasha said.

"I would have if it wasn't for my grandfather." Kagome said angrily.

"What do you mean?" Inuyasha asked.

"Somehow he got my address and told Hojo-kun." Kagome said.

"Your grandfather got my address and gave it out to that sissy?" Inuyasha asked.

"Guess so." Kagome said. She'd put away the last thing she bought away and plopped down on the bed. "I'm tired."

"And I thought you were going to rest today." Inuyasha asked.

"I was but I ended up taking Shippo to get some things." Kagome said. "When did you get back from talking with Sesshomaru?"

"An hour after you left. Seems that Jaken didn't listen very well to Sesshomaru's orders." Inuyasha said. He sat down on the bed next to Kagome and started caressing her arm.

"Jaken?" Kagome said.

"He's Sesshomaru's assistant. He misheard Sesshomaru and accidentally called me in. Little bastard probably did it to piss me off." Inuyasha shook his fist. "Little toad always hated me."

"I'm sure it was an accident." Kagome said.

"It probably wasn't." Inuyasha mumbled. "He's always doing crap to annoy me."

"You think everyone is out to get you, don't you?" Kagome laughed.

"No, just him." Inuyasha said. He laid down and wrapped his arms around Kagome's waist. He kissed Kagome's neck. He moved his leg to the other side of her and straddled her waist as he moved his way up to her lips.

As soon as their lips touched the house rumbled. "What the hell?" Inuyasha said. They both got up and walked into the living room.

Shippo was trying to watch a movie and turned the volume all the way up on accident. "Oops." Shippo said. He laughed nervously. "Want to watch a movie with me?"

"SHIPPO!" Inuyasha yelled. He started chasing him around the living room.

"I didn't mean to!" Shippo yelled as he ran.

Kagome sighed and sat down on the couch. She might as well watch a movie while they wear themselves out.
