Chapter 33

Caught

The night was over and the guys were practically sleeping on the floor. "Look at all the money you made." Sango said.

"Shut up." Miroku said. "I think from all the work we did, we all deserve a break."

"What are you talking about?" Sango asked.

"Take the next two days off." Miroku said.

"Let's go home." Sango smiled. She held out her hand to help him up. Miroku grabbed her hand and stood up. She felt a squeeze on her backside. She slapped him and let him fall to the ground. She huffed and walked outside.

"Sango, I didn't mean to. My hand has a mind of it's own." Miroku said as he chased after her.

"Well, fun's over. Let's go home." Kagome said to Inuyasha.

"Let me get changed first. I'm not walking outside with this on like that lecher did." Inuyasha said as he made his way to the back room.

"We'll lock up." Rin said.

"Arigato." Kagome said.

"The next two days off." Rin said.

"I could use the break." Sesshomaru said.

"You wouldn't have to work here anyway." Rin giggled.

"I know." Sesshomaru smiled.

"That's not nice to tease me." Rin said.

Sesshomaru just shrugged his shoulders. "Let's go Kagome." Inuyasha walked out of the back room while fixing his shirt.

"Hai. Bye Rin, Sesshomaru." Kagome waved.

"Bye Kagome." Rin said.

Inuyasha dragged Kagome out of the club. "You don't have to drag me." Kagome said. "It's not like I'm going anywhere."

Inuyasha and Kagome walked into the living room. Inuyasha plopped down onto the couch and Kagome laughed. "It's not funny." Inuyasha said.

"It is funny." Kagome said.

"Shut up." Inuyasha mumbled. "Where's Myoga?"

"Maybe he's in Shippo's room." Kagome said.

Just then Myoga walked out of the hallway. "Back already?" Myoga asked.

"Hai." Kagome said. "Arigato for babysitting again."

"No problem." Myoga said.

"Go away old man. We'll call when we need you next." Inuyasha mumbled through a pillow.

Kagome walked over to the couch and sat on his back. "Excuse him. He's grumpy." Kagome said. "Apologize."

"Keh." Inuyasha said. Kagome pinched him. "Itai! I'm sorry."

"I can see Kagome is such a good match for you Inuyasha." Myoga laughed. "Shippo is already asleep."

"Bye Myoga." Kagome said from her spot on Inuyasha's back.

"Bye Kagome." Myoga said. He shut the door.

"That was mean Inuyasha." Kagome said as she pinched him again.

"That's it." Inuyasha said. He sat up, knocking Kagome off of him and pulled her underneath him. He grabbed her wrists and held them up above her head. "Say your sorry."

"No." Kagome said.

"Say it." Inuyasha said.

"No."

"Say it."

"I won't say it. I have nothing to be sorry for."

"You pinched me."

"You deserved it."

"Did not."

"Did too."

"Did not."

"Did too."

"Did not."

"We could argue for hours." Kagome said.

"You're too damn stubborn." Inuyasha said.

"So are you." Kagome stuck her tongue out at him.

Inuyasha chuckled at her childish antics. He leaned down to capture her lips in a gentle kiss. He ran his tongue across her lips. He slipped his tongue in and deepened the kiss. Kagome wrapped her arms around his neck and tilted her head.

Taking it one step further Inuyasha ran his hand under her shirt up her side to the underside of her breast. He gently stroked her with his thumb. He smirked as Kagome shivered.

He broke the kiss and stood up. Kagome was confused until he threw her over his shoulder. "Inuyasha what are you doing?" Kagome asked.

Inuyasha ignored her question and kept going to the bedroom. He opened the door and shut it with his foot. He walked over to the bed and set her down. "Are you going to ans-" Kagome was cut off by Inuyasha.

He covered her mouth with his own and crawled on top of her. He unbuttoned her blouse and kissed her neck. Kagome tilted her head to give him better access to her neck. Inuyasha succeeded in unbuttoning blouse. He was about to remove it completely off of her when the door opened. Both their heads turned towards the door. "Shippo!" Inuyasha said angrily.

Kagome pushed Inuyasha off of her and turned around so she could button her shirt up. Hopefully neither of them could see the blush on her face. "What's wrong Shippo?" Kagome asked as she rushed to button her shirt.

"I had a bad dream." Shippo said.

"Again? You better not get used to this brat." Inuyasha said.

"Inuyasha!" Kagome scolded. "Come on in."

Shippo shut the door and walked in. He sat on the bed. "I'll be back, I'm going to get dressed." Kagome said. She leaned down to whisper in Inuyasha's ear. "Don't say anything to him."

Inuyasha shot her a look but kept his mouth shut. He crossed his arms across his chest and stared murderously at Shippo. "What?" Shippo asked.

Inuyasha said nothing. Kagome would probably throw him out of the room or something if he said anything mean. The only things he could think of to say to Shippo weren't nice at all. He just shook his head.

Kagome walked back into the room with her pajamas on. She had a long silky white nightgown on. She sat down next to Shippo. Inuyasha got up and looked through his drawer for something to change into. He walked out of the room to get changed.

"Is Inuyasha mad at me?" Shippo asked.

"No, he's just grumpy." Kagome said. "What did you dream about?"

Shippo looked down at the bed. "I dreamed that you and Inuyasha left me alone."

"Shippo, you know we wouldn't leave you alone." Kagome said.

"I know...but my mom and dad left me." Shippo said.

Kagome hugged Shippo to her. "We won't leave." She said.

Shippo nodded and started crying. This dream had been the worst one he'd had after his parents left. He didn't want Kagome and Inuyasha to leave too. Inuyasha walked in and saw Shippo crying in Kagome's lap. His anger immediately vanished at the sight of Shippo.

Shippo stopped crying and hugged Kagome one last time before letting go. "You're going to sleep in that?" Kagome asked.

Inuyasha was wearing red silky boxers. "So? What's wrong with what I'm wearing?" Inuyasha asked.

"Can't you put on a shirt or something?" Kagome blushed.

Even though it was dark he could see the redness on her face and he smirked. "Be glad I'm even wearing this, I usually sleep naked." Inuyasha whispered to her.

Kagome blushed even more if that was even possible. "Well, let's go to bed." Kagome stuttered. She was trying to get Inuyasha out of her head. What they had almost done before Shippo walked in wasn't helping.

Inuyasha laughed and laid down under the covers. Shippo was confused but didn't ask because he knew they wouldn't answer. He crawled in-between Inuyasha and Kagome. "Don't make this an every night thing." Inuyasha said.

Kagome reached over and pinched him. "Itai!" He yelled.

"Shh, people are trying to sleep." Shippo laughed.

"Why you little-" Inuyasha started saying but was quieted when Kagome pinched him again. "You wait until tomorrow."

Kagome laughed. "Nothing will happen tomorrow." She said.

"That's what you think." Inuyasha said. He rolled over and went to sleep. Kagome and Shippo did the same.

The next morning Inuyasha woke up early. He looked at Kagome and Shippo. Both of them were still sleeping. Kagome had an arm around Shippo and his head was on her chest. A shot of jealousy went through him but he was able to ignore it. It was his girlfriend and a little kid.

He was still mad about the little runt ruining his night. Who knows how far they would've gotten if he hadn't interrupted? Shippo was scared so he ignored it. Inuyasha got up out of bed and walked quietly into the living room.

He sat down on the couch and turned on the TV. Shortly after Kagome walked out of the room. She tied her robe around her waist and sat down next to Inuyasha. "Morning." Kagome yawned.

"Morning. Sleep well?" Inuyasha asked.

"Hai." Kagome said.

"What are you going to do on your day off?" Inuyasha asked.

"I'm going to sleep all day." Kagome said.

"That's a waste." Inuyasha said.

"Is not. I haven't had a day off in a long time." Kagome said.

"What about the days you went to see your family?" Inuyasha reminded her.

"I wouldn't call that a day off." Kagome muttered. She hated remembering that. "Today, I'm just going to relax."

"Good idea." Inuyasha said. He wrapped his arm around her. He leaned down to kiss her. Their lips had barely managed to touch when Shippo interrupted them.

"Didn't you do enough of that last night?" Shippo asked rubbing the sleep out of his eyes.
