Chapter 62

A Wedding and The Perfect Ring

"Will you hurry up and move your asses!" Sesshomaru yelled.

Things were not going as smoothly as he would've liked. In fact things for him were completely hectic. Rin was in her room changing. She was not allowed to step out because she was afraid of the superstition that if the groom saw the bride in her dress before the wedding it would mean bad luck.

Sesshomaru was stuck with his baka half brother and friend. They wouldn't stop arguing and they weren't even fully dressed yet. Miroku as usual had made a perverted comment about Kagome and set Inuyasha off. He had almost ripped the suit pants he was wearing.

The ceremony was to begin soon and Sesshomaru was a wreck. Of course being known as the emotionless person he was he didn't seem like it on the outside. The inside was a whole different story...

He was irritated that he hadn't seen Rin the whole weekend. She refused to let him see her at all until the wedding. He had to settle for phone calls while she stayed at either Sango or Kagome's apartment. Of course both boyfriends of the girls had argued against it but eventually gave in at some point or another.

The girls on the other hand were having a nice time.

"Rin you look so beautiful." Sango said.

"That dress looks amazing. Sesshomaru picked right for you." Kagome said.

"Arigato." Rin said as she kept looking at herself in the mirror.

Her hair was up in a simple bun without her veil on. The dress was absolutely beautiful. It was white with a long train behind her. The back had buttons all the way down just above the butt. The dress was strapless and flared out just at her hips. It was Victorian style and she loved it.

"I'm so happy." Rin said as tears formed in her eyes.

"Don't cry Rin or we'll have to redo your makeup again." Sango said. The girl had already burst into tears twice.

"I hope Sesshomaru is doing okay." Rin said.

"I'm sure he's doing fine." Kagome reassured.

There was a knock at the door and it opened. "Excuse me but the wedding will begin shortly. I'll come back when we're ready for you to walk down the isle." One of the helpers announced.

Both Sango and Kagome stood up to help Rin finish getting ready. They put the veil on her head and let the mesh fall over in front of her face. They helped her with her shoes and then waited for the helper to come back in.

Sesshomaru stood at the front of the church patiently waiting for his soon to be bride to walk down the isle. The church was decorated plainly but still exquisite. White drapery hung from each corner of the church. On the doors that led down the isle were white roses that hung in a loop. There was a red carpet that went from the doors to the front where Sesshomaru stood. A podium stood on the top of the low steps. There were only three steps and it was covered in white carpet with white and red rose petals everywhere.

The guests were separated whose side invited them from. On the right side were Sesshomaru's business associates and a couple of other acquaintances. On the left side were Rin's family and some friends.

Soon everyone got quiet as the music started to play. The doors opened and Inuyasha and Kagome walked through the door arm in arm. After them was Miroku and Sango. They each separated before Sesshomaru and took their places. Inuyasha and Miroku stood behind Sesshomaru next to each other. Kagome and Rin did the same on the bride's side.

The music then changed and the door opened revealing Rin. Sesshomaru stared in awe. One of the few times he's ever done it. He watched as she slowly walked down the isle with her father. She kept her eyes on Sesshomaru the whole time and smiled at him.

Once she reached the end of the isle her father kissed her on her cheek wishing her happiness and took his seat next to his wife. Sesshomaru took Rin's hands in his once the flower bouquet was passed on.

The ceremony had begun and everyone listened carefully. Finally they said their I do's and kissed each other. They walked down the isle hand in hand. The guests followed them out shortly after and watched as they stopped in front their limo to meet at the reception.

Rin smiled and turned around to throw the bouquet. She looked behind her once and flung it over her head. There was a crowd of women standing behind her waiting to catch the bouquet. Rin threw it a little harder than she thought and it missed the group of women.

It flew towards the other guests who weren't very interested in catching the bouquet. Kagome looked up just in time for it to land in her hands. She looked around seeing everyone was looking at her and realized what she had just done. Everyone cheered and Miroku patted Inuyasha on the shoulder.

"You know what that means." He said.

Kagome blushed and grabbed Inuyasha's hand. "Let's go the we have to change for the reception."

Inuyasha chuckled as she led him to his car. If she only knew what he had planned.

The reception afterwards was at a restaurant. It was closed down to hold the reception. Sesshomaru, Rin, Inuyasha, Kagome, Miroku, Sango, Shippo and Kohaku had changed into more casual clothing.

The guys all wore black slacks and white dress shirts. The girls were wearing smaller dress versions of their gowns. They went down to their knees and weren't nearly as dressy. They thought it would be much better than wearing their formal gowns.

Hours later into the next day the reception finally ended. Sesshomaru was relieved. He wanted nothing more than to get on the plane and fly to Italy where he had planned their honeymoon. Of course Rin had already fallen asleep. He had called for a limo and waited for it with his wife in his arms.

"Bye Sesshomaru, congratulations." Kagome whispered so as not to wake Rin. "Have Rin call me when you done with her."

"I will." Sesshomaru nodded.

Inuyasha nodded to his brother. No words needed to be said. Sesshomaru nodded back and watched as the couple left. `Soon enough we won't be the only married couple.' He thought.

"Sesshomaru-sama your limo is outside. Your baggage has already been sent to your hotel room and your flight leaves in a couple of hours." One of his hired helpers said as he handed him the airline tickets and on flight baggage.

The next day Inuyasha quietly crawled out of bed. The wedding really took a lot out of Kagome and what they had done afterwards. Inuyasha smirked arrogantly as he remembered what went on the night before. He never would have thought she liked it rough.

After taking a shower he went on into Shippo's room. He tapped the sleeping child on the shoulder to wake him. "Oi, Shippo get your ass up." Inuyasha said rudely.

Shippo turned over and glared at Inuyasha. "People are trying to sleep." Shippo snapped.

"Do you want to help me look for a ring or not?" Inuyasha asked.

"Hai!" Shippo exclaimed as he sat up.

"Hurry up and get dressed. Be quiet. Kagome is still sleeping." Inuyasha said and closed the bedroom door.

Once Shippo was dressed they left and got into the car. Inuyasha had left a note for Kagome so when she woke up she knew they had left. Inuyasha thought it would be better if they both stopped and got breakfast first.

After eating they went to a couple of jewelry stores. They couldn't find anything. Nothing stood out. There was nothing that either of them could find that was good enough for her.

"My legs hurt." Shippo whined.

"This will be the last place we check then." Inuyasha said as they entered yet another jewelry store.

They looked in the cases and were bored with most of the jewelry. Finally as they passed the last case both of them stopped and looked again. That's where they found the perfect ring for Kagome.

"May I help you?" Asked a lady behind the counter.

"Could we see that ring?" Inuyasha pointed to it.

"Sure thing." The lady said. She pulled out her keys and unlocked the case. She took out the ring and handed it to Inuyasha.

He held it down low enough for Shippo to see it too. "I think this is the ring." Inuyasha said.

Shippo nodded. "Hai, its perfect." He said.

"I think we'll take this one." Inuyasha said.

"I hope your proposal goes okay. I'll put it in a box for you while you sign the paperwork." The lady said and handed him some papers.

Finally after hours of looking they had found a ring. It was beautiful. It was a gold band with an amber stone in the middle. Diamonds surrounded it.

Kagome woke up and walked into the living room after putting on a robe. She looked on the kitchen counter and read the note. `Doing stuff.' Inuyasha and Shippo. Kagome rolled her eyes at the note and set it down. She grabbed a cup of coffee and sat down on the sofa to watch TV.

As soon as she sat down Inuyasha and Shippo walked through the door. "Morning Okaa-san!" Shippo greeted. He threw off his shoes and coat and jumped onto the couch next to Kagome.

"Morning Shippo. Where have you two been all morning?" Kagome asked.

"We went out to breakfast so you could sleep in. Otou-san bought me a new video game!" Shippo said. "I'm going to go play it!"

Shippo jumped off of the couch and ran into his room to play. Inuyasha had bought the gift so nothing seemed suspicious. It would be a little suspicious if they were out all morning and didn't come back with anything.

"And you were worried." Kagome said as she stood up to walk over to Inuyasha.

"Keh. Worried about what?" Inuyasha asked as he took off his coat.

"Being a good father." Kagome said and kissed him on the cheek. "I told you, you were doing fine."

"Whatever." Inuyasha rolled his eyes. He grabbed her arm before she could walk away. "You call that a kiss?"

Before Kagome could respond Inuyasha pressed his lips against hers in a gentle kiss. Kagome opened her mouth and Inuyasha's tongue slipped inside for a quick taste. Inuyasha was about to lift Kagome up and take her to their room.

"Eww." They heard behind them. "Don't you guys ever stop?" Shippo asked.

"Why you little..." Inuyasha then began chasing Shippo around the house. "Just wait until I catch you, you little brat!"

"You can't catch me!" Shippo shouted as he ran from Inuyasha.

"Well I guess that will never change." Kagome said as she walked into the kitchen to get something to eat.

I know this chapter is short. I've been busy and now I got a job so I don't know how often I'll be able to update. I start working today so I don't know what my schedule is or what it's going to be. There aren't going to be many chapters left. Hope you like this chapter. Let me know what you think.
