Chapter 005 - Miroku's Perverted Ways

Inuyasha sighed as he stared at his room's ceiling. He spared a glance over at the balcony window and then sighed again softly as his fangs showed lightly over his bottom lip. She thinks I will tell her my problems just because she is new here…Feh! He thought annoyed and glared at the window then huffed and moved so his feet were touching the floor beside his bed.

"Inuyasha?" Sango asked softly as she pushed the door open, walked in the small cat demon Kilala on her shoulder, meowed lowly, and wagged her small, two tails as she saw Inuyasha.

He just glanced over at her and crossed his arms lightly. "What?" He asked slightly annoyed by her entrance.

"You know you shouldn't treat the young girl…Um…Kagome that way." She said as she thought a minute to try to remember the girl's name that Miroku had told her earlier.

"Well the bitch shouldn't try to pry into my business!" Inuyasha snapped angrily at Sango who just stood her ground, crossed her arms annoyed, and stared the hanyou down without fear.

"You're a real ass sometimes…" She said bluntly and turned, while shaking her head at the glaring hanyou as she walked out of the room and did not even bother to shut the door.

Miroku watched Sango walk down the hallway still angry at Inuyasha and she only spared Miroku a glare as she passed him and he watched her walk by confused. "What did he say?" He asked confused and only received a huff of annoyance from her.

"He wouldn't tell me and I don't care anymore!" She said annoyed and stomped down the hall still cursing the hanyou, Inuyasha in her mind.

I think Sango and Inuyasha are like siblings sometimes…Miroku thought with a stifled laugh and then he turned and pushed the door open slightly more to walk into the room and see Inuyasha tapping his claws against the wood desk next to his bed. "Is something the matter, Inuyasha?" He asked and walked over so he was standing a little in front of him.

"Go away…" He said bluntly, kept his gaze on the floor in front of him, and let a soft growl escape his lips, as he seemed to be causing claw marks in the carved wood dresser.

Miroku just sighed, turned, and started out of the room, but he paused at the door and glanced back over his shoulder at Inuyasha. "You shouldn't be so up tight Inuyasha…Kagome is only trying to help you. You should give her a chance…She's really nice when you get to know her." He said then sighed at the hanyou's huff and walked out of the room and started down the hall but stopped short when he saw Kagome walking down the opposite direction staring down at her feet as she walked and he just smiled at her innocent look and waved lightly as he spoke. "Hello Lady Kagome…" He said politely.

"Huh? Oh…Hello Master Miroku…" She said kindly and smiled at him weakly then sighed and looked back down at her hands.

"You may just call me Miroku if you wish, Kagome…" He said and smiled at her when she looked up at him and smiled brightly.

No one has allowed me to call them by a casual name…I really like it here. Kagome thought through her bright smile and then she eeped in shock when Miroku started to pass her and she felt his hand grab her butt softly, but firmly. "Pervert!" She yelled and turned on her heel and slammed her palm against his cheek and then she gasped and put her hand up to her mouth in fear at what she had just done. "I'm so sorry…Please forgive me…" She begged and diverted her gaze down to the floor.

"Don't be sorry…He's just a pervert…" Inuyasha said as he leaned against the framing of his doorway and looked at Miroku with his arms and ankles crossed and then his soft amber eyes fell on Kagome who seemed scared to death.

Miroku laughed then put his hand up the red mark on his cheek. "I deserved that Kagome…You needn't worry about it." He said and bowed lightly to her then turned and waved lightly as he walked away and disappeared around a corner.

Kagome looked at where Miroku had been and blinked in confusion then she turned and looked back at Inuyasha when he made a slight sound and then started to walk toward her and stared down into her scared eyes.

"Don't worry…Most of the girls around here have slapped him worst…" He said and kept his arms crossed and then his angry level rose at her constant stare. "What!" He asked annoyed and then he seemed to soften at her soft gaze, she seemed so innocent, and confused. Her eyes showed her hard life and showed how she only wanted to be treated fair and kind.

Kagome just shook her head lightly and rubbed her hands lightly as she looked down at the floor and sighed. "I am sorry…I didn't mean to stare." She said lowly.

"Feh! Just don't do it again…" He said annoyed and started walking down the hall the same way Miroku had gone.

Kagome smiled. I was right…He is softening up some…She thought and smiled and then noticed he hand stopped and was looking at as if waiting.

"Are you coming to dinner or are you going to starve?" He asked annoyed again, as he waited on her then turned and started walking again when she nodded and ran up to fall in step next to him.

Sesshomaru stared over at Kagome who seemed like a scared puppy who did not know what to do. He then turned his golden eyes over to his father was had placed his utensil down and looked over at Kagome and laced his fingers together so he could place his chin on them.

"Lady Kagome…How do you think you will like it here?" He asked calmly and smiled when the girl jumped at his voice.

"F-Fine M'lord…" She said in a shaky voice but tried to smile showing she was happy.

"My love perhaps you should have Inuyasha take her for a walk around the outside since she has yet to see that…" Kirei said softly as she looked from Inuyasha to Kagome and smiled.

Inuyasha's little doggy ears twitched annoyed at his mother's words. "No…Before you even say it. No…" He said as he stared down at his food and glanced up at his mother when she looked at him with a saddened face.

"Son, she needs to know the grounds…And it will not hurt for you to show her. You never really do anything else…" Inutaishou said and smirked at his son's growl of annoyance.

"Fine, I'll show the wench around…" Inuyasha spat out and then received a warning glare from his father for using such language.
