InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ Changes ❯ New Moon ( Chapter 1 )

[ T - Teen: Not suitable for readers under 13 ]

It was that time again. The time when Inuyasha lost all of his demon powers (and control over his emotions) to become fully human, for one night. It's not like he wanted to. He thought of it as a weakness. Without his powers, he was vulnerable to any attack at anytime. Thankfully, he had the help of his friends who swore they'd protect him, although he hates getting help from anybody other than himself.

“Lemme out of this damn thing!” Inuyasha yelled, kicking at the door. He was, once again, tied up in the too-familiar shack that Kaede and Miroku had supplied to keep Inuyasha in, and attackers out.

“Settle down,” Kagome said as she sipped a cup of green tea. She was sitting in the corner, cross-legged, her bow and arrow on her back in case anything did happen. It was the night of the new moon. Sunset was coming soon, and the transformation would happen to turn Inuyasha into a human, thanks to his human mother.

Kagome sighed and set the cup down before turning to her yellow backpack. She had little time to react to the crash of wood as Inuyasha kicked out the door and began sprinting. “Inuyasha!” she cried, spilling over her tea and running after him.

A few yards away from the shack, Kaede and Miroku sat, upholding the barrier around the premises. As they sat meditating, a flash of red and white could be seen as it flew by and headed for the woods. Soon after came Kagome, yelling all the way. “Inuyasha! Stop, come back! Inuyasha!” Miroku stood up and Kagome nearly ran into him. He soon disappeared from sight, leaving nothing behind but a few leaves on the grass as the sky turned orange, and the horizon glowed with great intensity that could only mean twilight was here. And soon it would be night.

“Miroku-“ Miroku stopped her speech abruptly. “Let him go,” was all he said. Kagome calmed, but she didn't agree with him. He was holding out his arm; the only thing blocking her path. “I have to find him before it gets dark.” Before he could stop her, she had pushed him out of the way and was heading down the dirt path, in the direction Inuyasha had gone. Kaede listened until they could no longer hear the thudding of her shoes on the ground or the knocking of wooden arrows banging together inside their carrier.

Where is he? I can't find him! ….Muahahahaha! I'll say this once; if I get enough reviews, supporting a lemon, I'll have one in the near future. Please review!
