Kagome slowly came to consciousness. Or, at least, semi-consciousness. She couldn't open her eyes or move her body. “What's going on?” she thought, and she would've whimpered if she could make any noise. That's when she realized that she seemed to be floating in some kind of cold liquid. A shiver went up her spine and she discovered that she was naked. And although her body was numb, she could tell that her arms were loosely crossed over her chest, and her legs were crossed to censor her womanhood. Water filled her ears and her mouth, but surprisingly, she wasn't suffocating or drowning. She heard muffled voices but she couldn't make out the words. She was scared; “Inuyasha…”, was all she could think of.

 

“As soon as I can harness her priestess powers-“ she cut off her sentence so that she could smile and squeeze her hand into a fist. The woman wore a red kimono with purple flowers and a purple waist, and overlapping that was a black sash that wrapped around her arms like a feather boa. Her long black hair was tinted with red, and atop of her head was somewhat like a tiara made of what seemed to be made of small animal bones painted red and gray. Glossy navy-blue lips and red nails accented porcelain skin and gray eyes, speckled with gold and green. There was a swish of her kimono-gown as she turned to the miko. “She's being slowly drained of her powers,” she chuckled devishly to herself and left the room.

 

A jolt of pain shot through Kagome. Her body became weak as her purifying powers were sucked from her. The pain was so intense that she began to moan and cry, her muscles tensing and she soon found herself fully awake. Slowly opening her eyes, she found that the liquid didn't affect her vision or hurt her eyes, although it did make things slightly blurry.

 

 

A flash of red and white dashed through the forest. He was following Sesshomaru's scent and it eventually led him to a mountain, although it looked more like a foothill. Atop the elevated landform was what looked like a castle. But thee was one problem; a deep trench was the only thing standing between Inuyasha and the castle, and at the bottom of it were sharp and jagged rocks. He didn't care. He had to get to Kagome. Taking a few steps back, he prepared himself before running at full speed. Once he reached the edge he growled and jumped. He sailed easily over the trench and landed safely on the other side. Kagome's scent wafted in the air and he didn't want to waste anytime. He began jumping and running up the rocky mountainside to the castle at the top, now almost completely hidden in the fog.
