InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ Changes ❯ Mistake ( Chapter 7 )

Lady Sukocha reentered the dark room. The clear- blue bubble in the middle of the room which held the girl captive was slowly turning a light orange-yellow. Her hand reached out to touch the bubble and absorb the young priestesses powers when she sensed a demon. She jerked her head and moved out of the way just in time as a hanyou flew in, claws outstretched. Instead of hitting her, he hit the bubble. The miko's prison healed itself by sealing the cut. “Inuyasha!” Kagome tried to yell. All she did was make bubbles. That's when Inuyasha picked up another scent. “Kikyo?” this threw him off guard and he suffered a blow to the head, from the celestial woman. He was thrown against the far wall.

 

Kagome's eyes darted around the room, her body still scrunched up to cover her private parts when she saw another bubble a few feet away from hers. It was dark brown and mucky, and floating inside was an unconscious Kikyo. Since her bubble was darker than Kagome's, she had the theory that Kikyo's powers were completely gone. That's when it hit her. As her bubble filled up with purifying powers, the liquid was slowly purifying her demon self. She struggled in pain s she became weaker and the pain became more intense.

 

Then, a loud “pop” echoed across the room. The fighting duo paid no attention as Kikyo's bubble began to slit open and the brown liquid, along with the priestess, spilled out. Upon seeing that, Lady Sukocha rushed towards her. “Oh no you don't!” Inuyasha quickly intercepted and picked up Kikyo before turning around to protect her. But he was wrong. The villianess's nails grew to infinite lengths and stabbed into Kagome's bubble, slicing into her stomach. She screamed in pain before coughing up blood and closing her eyes. Once apricot-colored skin turned gray, and her body lay limp as it fell on the floor.
