The next day Kagome woke up with an excruciating headache.

Kagome rose up from her bed and squeezed her temples.

 

“Ugggg” `Oh Kami.... Someone get the number of that bus.'

 

“Well I see someones awake! Finally!” Michiko Beamed.

 

Kagome opened her eyes and gave her an angry glare. “Uhhh, not so loud Michiko!”

 

“Oops, sorry I forgot you might not feel well, adjusting to your new senses and all.”

 

Kagome realized she could see a lot more clearly, she could also hear things she never would be able to hear, and smell….. she had trouble deciphering it all.

 

Michiko gave her a sympathetic look. “You'll get used to it pretty quickly, your brain already knows what most of the smells are, but your human nose wouldn't register them before.”

 

Kagome shrugged. “If you say so…” Kagome got up and walked to the mirror in her room. She gasped in shock. She now had dazzling blue eyes*, her hair was a deep black that merged into white, at the ends. She now had dog ears too, which she was happy about. Even her body had changed, she was a little taller, her hips and breasts were slightly bigger, adding to her girlish figure, she was also muscular without being to manly, and of course she had claws.

 

“Here.” Michiko offered her two rings. “They're concealment rings. There's one for you and one for Inuyasha”

 

“It might be easier to go around the Sengoku Jidai looking, smelling and feeling human. In fact, if you don't want to reveal your hanyou self for a few days, feel free to wear that ring, But your mother and Ji-Chan already know so you don't have to hide anything from them.”

 

“Ji-Chan knows? How did he take it” Kagome said worriedly.

 

Michiko smiled brightly “He's fine with it, he said `No matter what my granddaughter is I will always love her.' We told him and your mother what was to happen if something didn't change. They much rather have a live hanyou daughter then a dead human daughter.”

 

“Ok then, lets face the music….” Kagome knew they would always accept and love her but she was still nervous, she looked so different.”

 

Once they made it downstairs, they when to the kitchen when simultaneously 3 shouts were made.

 

“COOL!”

“KIWAII!”

“DEMON BE GONE!” A Ji-Chan plastered a sutra on Kagome's face.

Kagome growled. `Now I know what Inuyasha feels like'

“Sorry my dear, habits are hard to break…” Ji-Chan muttered the second part, but everyone heard him.

 

“Oh Kagome, your so beautiful, and your ears are so cute!” Her mother hugged her.

 

“Hey Kagome, will you be as strong as Inuyasha now?”

 

Kagome smiled, showing off her new fangs, and shrugged. “I don't know Souta, I don't think anyone is stronger than Inu, but I'll try!”

 

A whole-hearted laugh came from everyone in the room.

 

“Well Kagome, why don't you set the table, dinners almost ready.”

As everyone ate, they made light conversation.

 

“Why, this rice was made and purified in the sacred-”

 

“So Kagome, when will you be leaving?” Mama Higarashi said, cutting JI-Chan off.

 

`Why I never! Young people these days……no respect to the elderly!'

 

“I will be leaving tomorrow morning mama, but could you guys not tell Inuyasha? I want to tell him myself in a few days, so I can get used to my new senses.”

 

“Of course, but how do you plan on hiding your hanyou self?”

 

“Oh, by wearing this concealment ring Michiko gave me” Kagome then proceeded to put on the ring and transformed into her human self. “It conceals my appearance, scent and aura.”

 

Michiko stood up, and said “Thanks for the Dinner Higarashi-san, but I must leave, the hour grows late, don't wasn't my father to get angry! Will you be ok Kagome?”

 

Kagome was trying to imagine Sesshomaru angry, it wasn't hard. Michiko's question brought Kagome back from her daydream “Wha… Oh yes I'll be fine”

Kagome went to sleep that night knowing tomorrow would bring new experiences.
