Chapter 29

Phone Call

Kagome was sitting on the shrine steps waiting for Inuyasha. She'd missed a whole week of school and knew she was going to have a lot of make up work to do. It would take her a while to do it too.

Inuyasha honked the horn. Kagome stood up and got in the car. "Morning." Inuyasha said.

"Morning." Kagome yawned.

"Tired?" Inuyasha smirked.

"Shut up baka." Kagome said. Inuyasha laughed and started the car. "Doesn't Sesshomaru get mad that you're using his car all the time?"

"Like he cares. He's to busy with Rin to notice his car is even gone." Inuyasha said. "I should start taking my motorcycle."

"What possessed you to get that thing anyway?" Kagome asked.

"I like motorcycles." Inuyasha said.

"I don't. They're dangerous." Kagome said.

"The bike isn't, the driver is." Inuyasha said.

"Like I said, dangerous."

"Oi, I'm not dangerous."

"Sure your not. You love to live in denial."

"Keh. Bitch." Inuyasha muttered.

"I heard that, baka." Kagome said.

They got to the school and got out of the car. Miroku and Sango were waiting in the parking lot. "It took you long enough to get here." Miroku smiled. "Did you sleep in?"

"Shut up Miroku." Sango said as she hit him.

"I was only asking. It was an innocent question." Miroku said.

"Not with your smile it wasn't." Sango said. She walked with Kagome in front of Inuyasha and Miroku.

Kagome yawned again. "Tired?" Sango asked.

"Hai." Kagome said.

Sango laughed as she yawned again. "At least we had fun right?" Sango asked.

"It was fun." Kagome smiled. "We should do things like that more often."

"Yeah we haven't gone out as much as we used to." Sango said.

"Let's do something then." Kagome said.

"What should we do?" Sango asked.

"I don't know. I'll let you know when I think of something." Kagome said.

"K." Sango said. They walked into their class after the bell rang.

The day had been uneventful. It was boring. Kagome had to stay a couple minutes after school to get her assignments. Inuyasha was waiting outside in the parking lot. Miroku and Sango had to go to their locker.

Inuyasha was leaning against his car when Kikyo showed up. "What the hell do you want?" Inuyasha growled.

"I just wanted to talk to you." She said.

"About what?" Inuyasha asked.

Kikyo then saw Kagome walking towards them and smiled. She grabbed Inuyasha's face and kissed him on the lips. She pulled back and saw Kagome glaring. She smiled thinking she was glaring at Inuyasha.

Kagome walked up to her and punched in the face. Kikyo fell to the ground and held her nose. "What are you doing?" Kikyo said in a muffled voice.

"What the hell do you think I'm doing?" Kagome yelled. "You just kissed my boyfriend."

"I did not." Kikyo shouted. Her nose was bleeding now.

"Cut the crap. I saw you kiss him. Besides Inuyasha isn't that stupid." Kagome said.

Kikyo just stood up and went to hit Kagome. Kagome stepped away and tripped her. "You might want to get your nose checked. It's bleeding and I think it's bent." Kagome smiled.

Kikyo wiped under her nose and looked at the blood. She was too pissed off to realize she was bleeding. She glared at Kagome. Kagome smiled sweetly and waved. Kikyo growled as best as she could for a human and left.

Inuyasha had watched the whole thing in awe. He'd never seen Kagome fight like that. The smile never left her face after she yelled at Kikyo. He smiled. "Jealous?" He asked.

"No, I just always wanted a reason to hit her, and she just gave me one." Kagome said.

"Why is it that you never get jealous?" Inuyasha asked.

"Because, unlike you, I have trust." Kagome said.

"I trust you. It's the guys that hit on you I don't trust." Inuyasha said. Miroku and Sango chose that moment to show up. "You missed it."

"Missed what?" Miroku asked.

"Kagome just kicked Kikyo's ass." Inuyasha smiled.

"You did?" Sango asked.

"I think I just broke her nose." Kagome said.

"Good job Kagome. Kikyo's been needing to get her ass kicked for a while." Sango said.

"Let's go eat. I'm hungry." Kagome said. They all agreed and got in their cars.

After eating Inuyasha and Kagome went to Kagome's house. Miroku and Sango decided to go to the park. They walked around hand in hand enjoying each other's company. Miroku had to keep his hands to himself because of the children walking around.

"I should be getting home." Sango said.

"Hai." Miroku said. They walked back to the car and got in.

Miroku drove to Sango's house. He parked out in the driveway because no one was home. "Arigato." Sango said.

Miroku leaned towards her and kissed her. He licked her lips and she opened. He ran his tongue across her teeth causing her to shiver. He left her lips to kiss her neck. Sango moaned as his hands roamed her body.

He pulled back and smiled. "Giving in to my lecherous ways?" He asked.

"No." Sango blushed. She kissed him one last time before getting out. Miroku smiled and drove away.

Kagome and Inuyasha got to her house. They walked in and went up to her room. Souta and Shippo hadn't gotten home from soccer practice yet. "My hand hurts." Kagome said.

"I think it would after you busted Kikyo's nose." Inuyasha laughed.

"She asked for it." Kagome said. Inuyasha stood up and started walking out of the room. "Where are you going?"

"To wash my lips." Inuyasha said. Kagome giggled and laid down. Inuyasha walked back into the room and leaned over Kagome. He kissed Kagome and smiled. "That's much better."

"Huh?" Kagome said.

"Nothing, I'm just trying to erase Kikyo away." Inuyasha said.

Kagome laughed and kissed him. She moved her hands up to his head and rubbed his ears. "Better?" She asked.

Inuyasha smiled and kissed her again. His ears twitched in agitation when he heard Souta and Shippo come in. He pulled back and sat up. Kagome looked at him curiously. She understood when Souta and Shippo ran into her room.

"Kagome!" Shippo yelled before throwing himself at her. "We have a game tomorrow, can you come?"

"Inuyasha, can you come too?" Souta asked.

"Hai." Kagome said.

"Hai." Inuyasha said.

"Yeah!" They both yelled and ran out of the room.

"What time is their game?" Inuyasha asked.

"Three." Kagome said. "Be prepared to out to eat with them afterwards too."

"Where were we?" Inuyasha asked pushing her back down on the bed.

"We weren't anywhere. I have a lot of make up work to do." Kagome said. She sat up and grabbed her backpack.

"It's going to be a long day." Inuyasha said.

"Kagome, phone call." Souta yelled from downstairs.

"Hai." Kagome said. She walked downstairs and grabbed the phone. "Hello."

"You're mine." Someone said and hung up.

Kagome put the phone down and walked back upstairs. "What's wrong?" Inuyasha asked.

"I just got a weird phone call." Kagome said.

"Who was it?" Inuyasha asked.

"I don't know. They just said `You're mine' and hung up." Kagome said.

"Dammit! Who the hell is it this time!?" Inuyasha yelled. "Don't go anywhere without me."

Kagome nodded and sat down at her desk. She needed to finish her homework. She still wondered who it was. She shook her head and focused on her work.

Inuyasha sat on her bed wondering who it was. Was it Kouga? Maybe Naraku. He wasn't going to let her out of his site like last time.
