The Future and past collide

 

Walking on the way home from school Kagome and her brother Sota were talking about the day they had in school. They got to the shrine. There mother said that there was an old friend that was coming to see them. So on queue they went to their rooms.

 

Pulling a pair of pants and a shirt out of her dresser and putting them on, she did not notice that there was a silver haired demon in the corner staring at her as she dressed.

 

Inuyasha “humph” loud enough so she can hear him.

 

“Inuyasha, SIT” Kagome said in self-defense.

 

“What in the hell did you do that for?” He said as he was looking up at her from the floor.

 

“That was for looking at me when I was dressing and not letting me know that you were there before hand.” She said as she helped him up.

 

“Sorry.” He said as they were looking out the window.

 

“Why are you here Inuyasha?” Kagome asked as they watched a limo pull up and the driver came out and opened the door.

 

“You were late in coming so I came to get you. Who is that visiting the shrine?” He asked.

 

“She is an old friend of the family, her name is Chiyo Hana.” Kagome said to him as his face watched her.

 

“I know her from somewhere; she has a demon air about her.” He thought to himself.

 

“I have to go down and greet her; you want to come as long as you behave?” She asked him.

 

“Yea sure.” He said as they went down the stairs to the kitchen.

 

Hana entered the kitchen and took a seat at the end of the table talking to Kagome's mother in how she was doing, when Kagome and Sota and Inuyasha came down.

 

“Did you bring anything from the trip you went on Aunt Hana?” Sota asked with a smile.

 

“Yes I did but you are not going to get it until after dinner. Kagome, you look like a flower in bloom, but I must ask who is it that behind you?” Hana asked as she looked up.

 

“Oh, sorry this is Inuyasha and he is a friend of mine.” Kagome said in a rush.

 

“I know who you are, aunt Chiyohana, where have you been all this time?” He said as she got up and gave him a hug from hell.

 

“You know her?” Kagome's mother said.

 

“Yea I do, but the question here is why she is here instead of the feudal era?” He asked as he was staring at her.

 

“Inuyasha that is a long story and I am not ready to tell you what had happened. That is something that is not for here to discuss.” Hana said to him and with a swipe of her hand smacked him in the head.

 

“Ow, wench. That is worse than being commanded to sit.” He said as he rubbed his head.

 

“Well that is your fault now is it? If you want to know some of the real story, then come with me to my home and I will tell you it.” Hana said to them as she sat back down and was talking to their grandpa.

 

The meal went off with out an other hitch. She stayed and talked to the mother until it was 7 pm.

 

“Well nephew, do you still want to know what had happened or do you have other things in mind?” She said as a smile came across her face.

 

“What are you thinking like that for?” He said. “Never mind, yes I still want to find out as long it is ok for Kagome to come along?” He asked.

 

“Sure she can as long as her mother says it is ok to do so.” Chiyo said back as Kagome's mother shook her head for it to be ok. Kagome went up stairs to get some cloths and came back down. Walked back to the car that was waiting for them. They all got in and went for a ride.

 

The ride was a short one for the two youngsters as they saw the place in the drive way. Very expansive with five bedrooms, three baths, large kitchen, dinning room, and then the living room was a museum of artifacts that she had gained over the years. Walking to her room after she saw that they were sitting down and was sipping some pop she got out of her cloths and put on something that was comfortable and as well the disguise that she was a human as well. Going back out she sat down facing them waiting for Inuyasha to ask questions that she was not sure she was ready to answer.

 

“Well nephew are you going to ask or are we going to sit here and look at each other like we are stupid?” She asked him.

 

“Where did you go after mother died?” He asked.

 

“Traveled the world as such as it was, Lived in Paris, London, and even in America for a while. But that is not what you wanted to hear now was it?” She asked him.

 

“No, but it is a start. What I want to hear is how you got a long and why did you let my brother have the house and let them do what they did to me? You left and that was it you made no notion of anything to me when you left and I was very upset when you did. It was the only time that no one ever said anything to us that was mean. We missed you.” He said in a rush to get it out in the open.

 

“Inuyasha I am so sorry that I did what I did but there is more to that than I want to go into right now. But I will when the time is right.” Chiyo said to the flustered half demon.

 

They talked on through the night until Kagome said she was going to bed. Chiyo showed her when the bedroom for was and left her alone going back to the living room, but stopping to get a snack she walked back in and sat down once again.

 

“So tell me the real reason why you are upset and why you are so in love with the girl that just went to bed?” She asked as the look of surprise crossed his face.

 

“How can you know when we have not seen or talked to each other for nearly 500 years?” He said to her.

 

“I know a lot Inuyasha, and one thing is the woman named Kikyo, She is long since dead nephew and that bond has been broken. So in the long run stop beating a dead horse and take a look around. Take care of the one that is with you and cares for you even though you can be an ass about things. She loves you Inuyasha, she would walk through all the fires in hell for you. I know for a fact that Kikyo would not do that for you. Kagome is the one that is in your heart now.” Chiyohana said.

 

“But I still feel like that I am cheating on Kikyo if I do that. I can not just forget her; it is hard enough that Kagome looks like her as it is.” Inuyasha said.

 

Chiyohana got up and pounded on his head hard enough to make his eyes water. “Boy you have some issues that need to be taken care of. Also need to tell her what you feel about her, your father was just a stubborn and pig headed as you. But for now I think I will come with you guys I would love to smell cleaner air for a change.” She said in a whisper.

 

“I think you can not do that. You need a shard of the jewel to do so and you also need to be connected to that era also. Or one that is anyway.” Inuyasha said.

 

“I have one and you and Kagome are connected so I should have no problem. What makes you think that I am not anyway?” She said to him with an evil glint in her eyes.

 

“How did you get a shard of the jewel? And yes that did cross my mind but I was not going to say it out loud.” He said.

 

“I got the shard when it landed at my feet. I picked it up and kept it safely all these years. Yes I was tempted to use it, but I have enough will power to stop my self from doing so.” She hissed at him.

 

“What shall we tell Kagome that you want to come with?” He asked.

 

“For now let's let her sleep and we can talk to her in the morning. As for us I think we better get to sleep as it is also.” Chiyo said and she got up waiting for him to get up also to show him where his bedroom is at before she went to sleep also.
