The other side of Life

 

It took them no time to land back in Kagome's time and each one was climbing out when they heard a voice of her mothers speaking to some one on the outside. A deep rumbling voice was heard as he was answering back.

 

“I know that asshole would be here.” Inuyasha said to him self.

 

“Sit boy!” Kagome said as Inuyasha held on to the veins.

 

“Do you want me to stay or what?” He said as the spell came off.

 

“Sorry, I thought you were out of the well.” Kagome said as his head came up.

 

“I heard something. I think they are back.” The voice said.

 

“I heard Kagome, Inuyasha must have said something wrong.” Mama said.

 

“It would not surprise me if my little brother didn't.” Sesshomaru said back.

 

“You do know I can hear you.” Inuyasha said back.

 

“Oh, then they are here is Chiyo with you?” He asked.

 

“Well duh, it's not like you did not know that I was returning back. For a smart Inu demon you can be very stupid at times.” Chiyo said as she opened the doors.

 

Looking up to an angry demon lord, she smiled and started to laugh.

 

“What is so fucking funny bitch?” He asked.

 

An aughtable gasp came from mama as she heard this and the laughter came harder.

 

“It's not a put down for us, we demon women well for any Inu clan are called bitches it is a term of endearment.” Chiyo said to the human.

 

“Well please try not to say it to laud here.” She said to them.

 

“My apologies, Ms, Higurashi, It will not happen again.” Sesshomaru said to the human. “But was so funny anyway?”

 

“MM, nothing just your face as you was mad and could not decide with you wanted to yell or walk away that is all.” Chiyo said but her body decided to sway to the point she almost fell.

 

“You still have to rest; Mama is there any way she can stay in the quest room?” Kagome said.

 

“No, that will not be necessary there is a car waiting for us to take her back home, If it not to much would you two like to spend the night there again?” He asked as he picked Chiyo in bridle fashion.

 

“Sure, mama you do not mind do you?” Kagome asked and her mother shook her head no that she would not mind and the small group went back to Chiyo's place.

 

Silent small snores were heard on the way back as the three started to talk.

 

“I remember the day that you all left and I have been waiting for today to arrive.” Sesshoumaru said.

 

“Why have you not tried to get a hold of her before today?” Kagome asked.

 

“Well I figured that if it was true that I would have to wait for 500 years to the day I would and that is what I did.” He said back as the car pulled up into the driveway and the doors opened.

 

He picked her up once again and carried her to her room. Sesshomaru came back into the living room and sat their and talked to the two who were currently arguing about what to do next.

 

“Kagome, I want you to be happy and if that evolves you and me staying here then I will stay here…” He said

 

“Inuyasha, but I do not want you to be unhappy of staying here when you have your forest to run.” Kagome cut in.

 

“You two fight like you have mated all ready… If he wants to stay here, that is fine considering that I have had papers drawn up for him and bank accounts also. He also owns a company that dose very well in fact. Kagome, you do not have to worry about friends in the past the village was put under my protection and the tree was saved hence your shrine is also under my name, I will keep it as to keep it from going under unless you want my brother to take it over considering that it was his tree.” Sesshomaru said to them.

 

“I do not know what to say, but thank you.” Kagome said. The day wore on and dinner was being served when Chiyo woke up in time to eat.

 

“That smells wonderful; I am so hungry I could eat a cow raw.” She said as her fangs showed up with a smile.

 

“Ewwwwwwwww, thanks for the mental image.” Kagome shot out.

 

“What?” Chiyo said as she sat down the grab a plate.

 

“That was not a thing to say at the dinner table, besides that sounds good anyway.” Inuyasha said as he started to laugh at Kagome's face.

 

“Oh sorry, was voicing my thoughts.” Chiyo said back.

 

“Speaking of which we have a lot to talk about later, if you feel up to it?” Sesshomaru said to her.

 

“Still tiring to get me in the sack right? How did I put it five hundred years ago, you are never going to give up are you?” She said with a smile.

 

“As I said back to you then and still implies today, why would you ask a foolish question, when you know the answer to it anyway?” He said back to her with a smile also.

 

The other two just looked back at them and smiled. “Why not aunt he dose love you and he has waited for five hundred years.” Inuyasha said back to them both.

 

“Speaking of which when are you two going to mate anyway?” Chiyo asked.

 

“As soon as we get time to do it.” Kagome said back.

 

“Well why not tonight and get it done and over with, before you go into heat.” Chiyo said to the girl who had turned red as the lobster that was on the plate in front of her.

 

“We will if you will I mean it is not that we are in the feudal area any more, the shard has been purified and we can go back and forth as we please.” Kagome said to the woman.

 

“Hm, what makes you think I would not anyway…Do not answer that Inuyasha, Oh speaking of people, where is Shippo? Did he and Rin get together?” Chiyo asked.

 

“Yes, they did and he will be here tomorrow afternoon. She recovered fine with out another incident.” He said.

 

“So that mean they have the same life span?” Kagome asked.

 

“Yes, as you do now, even though you have not mated yet thanks to Midoriko.” Sesshomaru said back.

 

“It is getting late, I am tired have not had a full nights rest in many years.” Inuyasha said to them.

 

“Like you are going to get any rest tonight any way.” Kagome said as she to get up and followed him into the bedroom.

 

“That only leaves two.” He whispered into her ear.
