The Sixth Betrayal: InuYasha and Sango

Back in the forest, Sango collapsed against InuYasha, sobbing wildly. He staggered a moment under this unforeseen development and sat down between two exposed tree roots with her in his arms. He let her gently slip down as he sat so she was curled up against his chest between his spread legs.

“A woman…pregnant…Mirokus baby,” she gasped out between sobs.

InuYasha shook his head in disgust.

“That pervert, can't keep it in his pants even when he is engaged to you.”

Sango broke out in fresh sobs, gripping his hoari in both hands and crying into his chest, leaving trails of tears.

“I left him,” she gasped, “I can't…take it anymore.”

InuYasha sadly shook his head again and gave a short bark of rueful laughter.

“Kagome broke up with me,” he said, “and I broke up with Kikyo.”

“You broke up with Kikyo?” she said wonderingly, brushing the tears out of her eyes.

“After Kagome sat me into a big hole and left, I climbed out and had a fight with Kikyo,” he said, looking miserable. “I'm done with her. And so…I have no one.”

“I don't have anyone either,” Sango replied, lips trembling.

“Miroku is such a foolish bastard,” said InuYasha, “he could never hope to find a woman better then you. I don't understand why he would still go after other women.”

“You think I'm better than them?” she said.

InuYasha flushed.

“Of course you are,” he said and looked down at her.

She was looking up wonderingly into his face, only a few inches away from his.

“Do you think I'm pretty?” she said.

“You know you are,” he said in slight exasperation.

“Maybe it's because I'm not feminine enough,” she said, “I'm a demon slayer, after all.”

“That's nonsense,” he said. “Strong women are much more attractive than those simple village women he's always flirting with.”

“But I don't always feel very feminine,” she said, “InuYasha, make me feel more feminine.”

Before he could say another word, Sango had pressed her lips against his. It opened the floodgates inside him to the aching hole where once he had the love of two women and now had none.

Sango was desperate to feel wanted, to be desired, to fill her own aching, broken heart. As she added more urgency to the kiss, he began to respond. Her arms went around his neck, and he slowly lowered her to the ground as the kiss became deeper and more passionate. She dug one hand into his hair, and started tugging at his hoari with the other. Quickly he removed it and his white undershirt, and she ran her hands over his strong sculpted chest and shoulders. Carefully he removed her armor and peeled back her body suit from her upper body. Her breasts popped free, and he reached for them while she shucked off her remaining armor and pulled her legs free of the bodysuit. As he bent over her, caressing and licking her breasts, she could feel his erection pressing against her leg through his hakama. With a trembling hand she began to untie it and it fell off. He moved it away and lay down between her legs, his erection pressing into and parting her nether lips. She gasped with pleasure as he rubbed his shaft against her clitoris, and lifted her legs around his hips. Then he reared back and plunged into her. Their grunts and moans filled the forest as he thrust madly inside her, and they came almost simultaneously, their hoarse screams echoing off the trees. Then InuYasha held himself above her on straight arms, and they looked at each other panting. As they came down off the highs of their orgasms, the ache in their hearts returned. He moved off her and lay by her side. She curled into him, and he could feel her tears falling on his arm.

“Still hurting, huh?” he said.

She nodded and sniffed.

“Do you still love him?”

Sango began to sob, her shoulders shaking.

“Yes, I do,” she said through her tears.

“You should go back to him, see what happened with that woman. Maybe you were too hasty and jumped to the wrong conclusion.”

“You think so?” she replied.

“If that monk has any ounce of human decency, then yes, I do.”

“What about you, InuYasha?”

He let out a long, ragged, sigh.

“I really screwed up with Kagome. I let Kikyo play on my guilt, and former love and loyalty. When she said she needed me, I could not say no.”

“I think I understand,” said Sango, trying to be sympathetic.

“Kikyo is my past and Kagome is my future. I don't know if she will take me back, but I have to try.”

“We were waiting for her to return,” Sango said, “why don't you go back ahead of me. I still need to get my composure back before I see Miroku.”

“Will you be okay?” He said as he stood up and reached for his clothes.

She gave him a weak smile.

“Yes, thank you,” she said, “for everything.”

He gave her a quick half-smile back, shrugged and looked at his feet. Then he turned and ran towards the clearing.
