InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ Cloud, the youkai of wind ❯ Chapter 1

[ P - Pre-Teen ]

Chapter One

A girl ran through the forest like there was no tomorrow. She didn't look back, afraid that the youkai chasing her would catch her. She was a hanyou, about 4 feet tall with blue eyes and silky white hair that went down to her waist.
She was running from a youkai named Cloud. Cloud was a relentless youkai who loved to slaughter. He associated with the element of wind, making him faster than anyone known to the world, and on top of all that, he had a sword. Now he had no ordinary sword. His sword could transform into a monstrous fang, once drawn, and even without the sword, he had claws. Cloud could slaughter anyone and/or anything in his way.
Although it seemed as though he didn't, Cloud only killed things for a reason. This girl had stolen a sacred jewel shard from Cloud and now he was after her. She was scared. No one could deny it.
Cloud approached and she screamed. No one could hear her. She was in the depths of a forest. The girl tripped. Cloud's claws hung over her, “I'm in a good mood right now, so I'll let you go freely if you give me the jewel.” The girl refused to hand it over. “NOW!!!” Cloud yelled. She still wouldn't let go. Cloud drew his sword. As it came from the sheath, it transformed in a golden light.
“Wind Scar!!!!” Inuyasha yelled as he slammed the Tetsusaiga on the ground, creating massive waves of wind to fly at Cloud.
Cloud swung his sword. A tornado was created and it battled with the Wind Scar.
Sango flew by on Kirara, picked up the girl and flew back behind Inuyasha with the others. “Are you okay?” Sango asked the frightened girl. The girl, speechless, nodded her head.
The tornado negated the Wind Scar and Cloud jumped at Inuyasha. Swords clashed. Sparks flew as Inuyasha and Cloud battled in the sky. Try after try, Inuyasha could not beat this new youkai.
“Get back Inuyasha!! I'll use my Wind Tunnel!!” Miroku yelled as he grabbed the prayer beads on his right hand that held back the deadly weapon, which would eventually swallow up its owner.
“Stay out of this Miroku!!” An arrogant Inuyasha yelled.
Cloud slammed his sword against Inuyasha's. The Tetsusaiga fell from Inuyasha's grasp. Cloud swung at Inuyasha. It was the fatal blow. Inuyasha waited for his demise, but it never came. Why? Inuyasha gasped as he saw an arrow fly past his head.
“Purifying Arrow!!” Kagome yelled, knocking the sword from Cloud's grasp. Cloud growled. He shrugged, “Oh well. I can still kill him with my… Wait… Where is he!?”
“Blades of Blood!!” Inuyasha yelled as bloody blades flew at Cloud. Cloud may have been scarred from what he had done, but it had helped. Cloud put up his arm in defense.
Cloud swung his claws at Inuyasha. His sword sat on the ground near the Tetsusaiga. Wait, hold on… Where is the Tetsusaiga? “Inuyasha here!!” Kagome yelled as she threw the Tetsusaiga at Inuyasha. Inuyasha caught the sword and transformed it. He smiled and looked at Cloud.
“Wind Scar!!!” Cloud flew up, avoiding the blast. Cloud landed quickly on the ground and grabbed his sword. He was hardly a match for this group. They won this time, but he would be back. Cloud ran threw the woods, sheathing his sword as he ran.
“Heh.” Inuyasha said as he watched Cloud run. “He should have known that he was no match for me.”
“For you!?!” Kagome yelled. “Why was it just for you!?! We both defeated it!! I wish you would for once be modest!! Sit Boy!!!” Kagome yelled as the rosary around Inuyasha's neck glowed a pinkish glow, and pulled him to the ground.
Cloud heard that much as he ran. Blood dripped from cuts all over him that would eventually turn into scars. He had never faced opponents that strong before. Sure, he had lost a few battles, but not like that…
They hardly had a scratch. It was sad. A hanyou and a couple humans crushed him. Maybe he was losing his touch… No, no, no. He couldn't think that. He had to stay strong, and one day, he would get them for that humiliating loss. They would see. They would all see. Cloud was not one to be played with.
