Chapter 6: What is going on here?
Inuyasha sat perched on a tree while he listened to Kagome and this Omi guy. When he smelled Kagome's aura laced with fear and sorrow he almost panicked and went down there. But he coulnd't. He had to wait a little longer until he figured out was going on. 'Why was she saying no? What is going on here?'
He was brought out off his thoughts when he heard Kagome yelling.

Her whole body was shaking. Why did she have to keep her promise? She loved him as her dearest best friend but could she really chose him over her love.
Inuyasha.
The one thing that she loved more than anything in this world. She didn't know when she had fallen in love with him but she know realized she did. At first she didn't even notice it but she now knew she had loved him since the first time she saw him pinned to the tree. The first time she saw his beutiful face, his furry ears, or how his snowy hair flew in the air when the wind blew. She was simply and utterly in love. L-O-V-E. Something she promised herself she would never allow to happen.
And know she had to give it. And she wasn't going to let that happen. Even if she had to break her promise.
"No"
"Kagome, it's to late. You promised."
"NO!!!" she yelled.
"..."
"I don't care I am not doing it"
"What?!"
"I just can't. I..."
"It is not something you can just change your mind about. This was destined and promised years ago."
"Please, Omi. We are already fighting him."
"NO. TO PROPERLY DEFEAT HIM YOU CAN NOT BE HUMAN. IT HAS TO BE DONE." he yelled.
"But...but we can fight him together. All of us. You, me, my friends. None of this has to happen."
"Kagome. You know you can't do that."
"WHY! TELL ME WHY I CAN NOT STAY THE WAY I AM?"
"Kagome, do you remember the side effect of the spell we cast."
"What? I don't remember.." she didn't finish as a great sadness overwhelmed her. Oh, yeah. She remembered. The one side affect.
"Because we have these" he pulled down the scruff of his shirt to show her the blue star he possessed on his neck." we will always be connected. And because of the shape your soul has taken your life is now shorter. So if you die a human death so will I."
Tears started to stain her cheeks as she toke in all this lost information. She couldn't do it. How?
"Please, just give me time. I need time to take this in. Please wait."
She watched as Omi approached her. He placed a hand on her cheek.
"You know I would always wait for you."
He then brought her into a hug. She immediately wrapped her arms around Omi, and started sobbing into his shoulder. Omi slowly rubbed her back. He was going to give her time to think. He knew that she loved the hanyou. There connection made it so easy for him to feel what she was feeling. Love for the hanyou. Kagome made a decision that completely went against what she had promised but he just couldn't stand to see her in pain.
"Shhh, Kagome it's alright. I'll take care of it"
"But I promised"
"Naraku can be killed by both of us. There has to be a way without getting you to your original state."
(Author's Note: Remember the last chapter. That chapter is vital. If you don't read it you will not understand this chapter. And if you still don't understand ask me about it or read chapter 5 again.)
"I'm so glad your back"
"Me too"
"I missed you so much"
"Me too. Do you know that this little mark on my neck lets me see everything you do. And I mean everything."
Kagome pulled away from him and smacked him. She watched with an amused smirk as Omi rubbed his sore face.
"You little pervert"
"I'm only kidding Kagome. I can't see what you do all the time. I can just feel everything you feel. Damn. that hurt."
"Well that's what you get"
"Whatever" then he brung her into a hug again."Do you know hard it was to stay away from you until i was allowed to see you. I don't know what I would do without you. I love you so much Kagome."
"I love you too, Omi."
As she was hugging Omi, Kagome could of swore she heard a growl and then a rustle of leaves. Inuyasha. She tried sensing him but she couldn't. She dismissed it as a figment of her imagination. Kagome had made her decision and there was no going back. She would tell Inuyasha. Everything.
