Chapter 10: The End of It
Omi awoke with a start. He was breathing hard and he was sweating. He looked around the hut he was in and looked for all of his new companions.
'Sango, Miroku, Kaeda, Ka.....Kagome. Something's wrong'
He hurried off of his futon and tried to sense Kagome. Omi eyes widened in horror when he didn't feel her. That meant that.... No. It couldn't be. If he couldn't sense her then she was.....gone.
Inuyasha ran as fast as his feet could carry him. Kagome. Was all that kept playing in his mind. As he made his way to the village he skidded to a stop when he couldn't smell her. He looked around to see if anyone was watching and he silently called her name out in hopes of finding her. After a couple of minutes of checking around the village he went to Kaeda's hut.
As he opened the curtain that to her hut he was knocked off of his feet and cursed out loud when he fell to the ground with a 'thump'. When he looked up he was about to curse out who ever bumped into him and came face to face with Omi.
Omi looked terrifie and there were no words to describe the fear he held in his eyes. Getting up he stood in front of Omi and watched him with suspisious eyes.
"What the hell is your problem?" Inuyasha asked. Before Inuyasha could react, Omi punched him in his face and sent him flying to the ground.
"You fucking bastard" Omi yelled while hovering over Inuyasha.
"What the hell are you talking about? And where is Kagome?"
"She is of no more concern to you. You being with the clay pot was enough. Now let me be. Kagome needs me"
Omi then sped off determined to find Kagome. And Inuyasha sat there with a look of utter shock on his face. Omi had seen him and if that meant he was going to tell Kagome he was in so much trouble. But first he needed to find out where she was. He had to see her. It was like his consious was telling him that she needed him.
"I'm a fucking idiot. I have so much explaining to do." and then he ran after Omi trying to find Kagome.

As Omi ran he could only think of one thing. Kagome. Oh, how he wished she were in his arms right now. Her smooth and soft breathing against his chest. Her little hands that wrapped themselves around his waist. And how soft her hair felt when he ran his fingers through it.
He shook those thoughts out of his head. Sure he was in love with Kagome. But he could never do anything about it. She was in love with that half-wight, Inuyasha. He was a terrible influence. Even though he had seen some of Kagome's bad times, the hanyou could only make things worse.
Because he wasn't paying attention he ran straight into a tree and fell right on his ass. He mumbled some bad words under his breath and looked up at the tree that he had bumped into while rubbing his head were he had hit it.
'That's going to leave a bruise.'
Omi then smelt it. The most horrific smell he always wished he would never smell. He turned his head towards the thick branches of the tree and a tear escaped from his eye and gently mad it's way down his cheek. He couldn't feel anyhting. Not the grass that was stiff and piercing his hands. Not the rain that had started drizzling down on him. Not the cold breeze he felt chill him to the bone.
All he was worried about was the small trickle that escaped down from her mouth. The shadow of her hanging body. As it gently swung around in the summer breeze. The rain running down her body washing it all away. The blood, the sorrow, the grief, his........Kagome.
It truly was all over known.
