Chapter 9: Runaway
"no,no, no" she chanted to her self as she saw the scene in front of her. The claypot and Inuyasha were sitting under the God Tree hugging each other. After all that they had been through he would do this to her. He was no friend he was a traitor. A dirty traitor that never kept his promises.
He did this just to get her mad. The little s.o.b. was with another woman while he basically promised to protect her through everything. Even himself. He would pay. She would show him that she wouldn't take any of his shit no more.
As she toke one sorrowfilled look towards Inuyasha and backed away to the dark cover of the forest she could only whisper her last words to him.
"I will come back to you Inuyasha. Cause trust me the game has only begun."
Inuyasha looked up. He could of swore he heard her. But why should he care. She was wrapped in another man's arms confessing her love to him. But why did it hurt when she looked at him with sorrowfilled eyes. He knew she had came to tell him something. He could smell anticipation in her scent.
No he shouldn't care. He was with the only person he loved. Kikyo. Was this the Kikyo he knew? The one he loved.
But....did he love her anymore?
He quickly got up dumping Kikyo to the ground and ignoring her protests of dis-satisfaction with his actions.
Inuyasha just realized something. He felt more than friendship towards her. He was such a fool to just realize it now. He was in love with her. That was the strange feeling he got in his stomach when she returned from her time. The strange feeling he got everytime she smiled at him that made him light headed. Love. He never thought he would feel that again. But it was possible for him to....
"Love"
"So that's what you feel for my copy" he turned around and stared at Kikyo's smirking face.
"What?"
"Love. Is that you feel for that creature."
"..."
"Pity that it's going to happen. I din't know that could happen to a filthy race like her."
"Kikyo what the fuck are you talking about"
"She didn't tell you did she"
"Tell me what?"
"That's she is not what she seems. She's not even a human. Well technically speaking she is but after tonight... Inuyasha you better pray a lot or I am afraid that she will kill you. She might hesitate but maybe she won't. Well you should go to her now there isn't much time left"
"What do you mean there isn't much time left? What the fuck have you done?"
Then all of a sudden Kikyo's body starts glowing a bright pink color and she starts shaking. Kikyo looked like she was panicking. For the first time he saw emotions in her eyes. She was scared. Before he could even ask her what was happening or try to help her she pushed him away.
"Something's wrong"
"What?!" he tried again to grab her shaking body but she just edged away from him.
Kikyo looked up and fear was present all over her face.
"She is taking her soul back. I can't stop it."
The pink aura around her starts to fly away from her and Kikyo falls to the ground. Before she could hit the ground Inuyasha caught her.
"Kikyo. are you alright"
"Inuyasha you are such a moron. Even though I never loved you, you still are as foolish as the first day we met. You truly are a pathetic half bred." Kikyo started shaking more."The reincarnation. The creature you should fear. My copy is dead."
And with those final words her body turned into dirt in his hands.
'Reincarnation. Who?' Inuyasha thinks and suddenly realizes it, "Kagome."
