Disclaimer: I hold no claim over any of the original InuYasha characters. Ringo, his four wives and son are mine. So are San/Mir's son and Inu/Kag's pups, as well as Rin/Sess's unborn pup. Mina is mine as well.
(A/N: This chapter will mainly fill you guys in on what's going on back at the village. Since I had some people upset that InuYasha and Kagome have more kids then Sango and Miroku I'm going to try and clear the air with this chapter. There may be some fluff here and then a little at the castle with the Inu brother's and their mates, along with the arrival of Lord Ringo and his wives (mates). Oh I'm dying to see how many of you that can pick out the part the chapter gets its title from.)
Last time in Cry of the Heart:
Kagome couldn't help but wonder what Sesshomaru's reaction would be to feel the pup move around inside of Rin. Her chocolate eyes then turned toward the window, she frowned at the gray clouds in the sky. They only meant one thing; the first winter snow was on its way. Kagome just couldn't help but wonder about what else was in store for them as well as wonder how her other three children were doing.
Chapter 10: Wish on Winter Snow
By TaintedDarkInuShemeeko
Sango signed as she rubbed her steadily growing belly, she was in her sixth month with Miroku's and her fourth child. When she thought of the first and third child she had lost her eyes started to glaze over with tears. When she had found out she was pregnant the first time both she and Miroku were overjoyed. However, just as the two of them were starting to at least think of names, tragedy stuck. Sango was in the middle of her seventh month, when she went into labor.
Flashback
Panic rushed through her as each pain rocked her body. She had pleaded with Miroku that it was too early for the baby to be coming. Miroku had done what he had always done in any situation, he smiled at her and told her not to worry and that things would work out in the end. A smile came to her face when she remembered that Kagome had also been pregnant at the time and she had been right there by her side.
Before she knew it her son had made his way into the world. He was very tiny and when he tried to cry it sounded like a small kitten. No matter how much she and Miroku loved him, his small body could not handle being out in the world so soon. Tears stained Sango's cheeks as she watched her tiny little boy struggle to pull in a breath. Four hours later the strain on his little body to breath had taken its toll on him and his tiny soul had fled his body.
Kagome cried as she watched Sango cry yet she knew that, that's how it had been in the past and no matter what there was nothing she could do about it. Sango grieved a very long time for her first child. It was two years before she felt ready to bring a child into the world again. This time though she carried the child the full term and nine months later Kazuo had been born. The third pregnancy had come as a complete surprise; it had happened eleven months after Kazuo had come into the world.
End
One last sorrowful sigh came from Sango as she remembered what had happened to that third child. She had barely been in her second month when she had miscarried. Her body just hadn't been ready for another child. The miscarriage had hurt, but she still had Kazuo and that was all that mattered. Not willing to lose any more children, Sango had talked Miroku into waiting at least two and a half years before trying again. However, their little miracle hadn't happened until Kazuo was almost four.
It had been in that time of waiting for Sango and Miroku that Inuhiko and Miran had been born. It was during Kagome's second pregnancy that Sango had helped her friends figure out why Kagome was going into labor early. First she was mated to a half demon, although only half his demon blood would still have an effect on their children. However, her greatest proof had come when Shippo had managed to anger InuYasha really bad. Sango had then watched her best friend double over in pain as strange painful attacks washed over her body.
Flashback
“InuYasha, you have to clam down. I think I've figured out why Kagome went into labor so early the first time. Kagome's connected to you through a life bond right? It only makes sense that your pups would be to while they're inside of Kagome.”
InuYasha had given Sango and Kagome a dumbstruck look, until he noticed the pain that Kagome was in.
“Yeah, but how would they have grown so fast; Kagome never uses her miko powers when she's pregnant.”
Sango had agreed however she had a perfect idea where the pup was getting the extra energy to grow.
“They get it from you InuYasha, whenever you get angry your body flares out your aura. I think they take your aura as a threat, somehow they drain a little at a time away from you until they don't feel threatened.”
The idea took InuYasha a minute to soak up, but when he had he looked sheepishly up at Sango. InuYasha had then made his way to Kagome's side.
“Are you alright Kagome? I never really thought about any of that happening before, but now that I think about it; it makes sense.”
InuYasha had done his best not to get too upset around Kagome, and when he felt like he was going to blow he left; though he learned quickly that he had to be a couple of miles away for it not to affect her or the pup.
End
Sango's trip down memory lane was ended, the moment two small voices broke through to her. One sounded a lot older and more female, while the other was that of a small boy.
“Um Aunt Sango are you alright? How come I can smell tears, why have you been crying?”
Sango smiled up at Sera as she laughed lightly and wiped at her eyes. That's when she felt someone tugging on the bottom of her kimono. Looking down she was greeted with two bright brown eyes.
“Why are you crying mommy, are you hurt? Did daddy or me do something to make you cry? You get mad at daddy a lot, because he always greets the woman of the village.”
Sango giggled when she realized just how much Kazuo watched his father. It was cute for the time being that is until he started mimicking his father, then they would have a problem.
`We have enough problems with the Miroku we already have. Oh Kami help us if there were two of them.'
Suddenly remembering she had an audience; Sango turned her attention back to her son and niece, well maybe she wasn't her niece by body but she was still family. Yes all four of InuYasha and Kagome's child were precious to both she and Miroku. There were times when she and Miroku found it to be uncanny, at how much Sera acted like InuYasha and at the same time she mirrored Kagome's actions as well.
Sango's thoughts were interrupted as a familiar scream shook the hut.
“UNCLE MIROKU! Dad's right you are a pervert.”
Sango giggled at how much Inuhiko had sounded like InuYasha, as he yelled at Miroku. The soft voice of Miran soon followed Inuhiko,
“Pease, excuse my Uncle Miro. He can't stop himself when he sees a pretty lady.”
Inuhiko's voice gave off another likeness to InuYasha as he gave off a keh.
“Yeah, I have a feeling it'll be the death of him.”
Inuhiko blinked his little golden orbs as a lone snowflake fell on his nose. He then gave the air around them a good sniff. Both boys then took hold of Miroku's robes as they started to pull him toward the hut. Their actions startled Miroku at first.
“Boys, boys no need to get hasty now.”
Inuhiko just rolled his eyes as he continued to pull on his uncle's robes. Miran however just pleaded with him.
“Come on Uncle Miro a storm is coming we have to get inside quick.”
Miroku's slate colored eyes glanced up at the pale grey sky. It was indeed cloudy but that didn't mean that it was going to storm. His eyes then fell on a few lone snowflakes falling from the sky. However he really couldn't see why his nephews were so worried about a few snowflakes.
“It's only a few snow flakes boys; there is really no reason to get worked up.”
Inuhiko just shrugged his shoulders as he let go of Miroku's robes.
“You're going to turn into a monkcile you know.”
Miran however tried another approach to getting is uncle inside. He very slowly turned two sad slate eyes up at his uncle. His dark chocolate ears twitched as a cold breeze hit them.
“Pease come inside Uncle Miro; I don't want you to be a monkcile.”
Miroku gave a light chuckle at Miran's words as he gently patted his head.
“There's no need to worry, I will be in shortly and I promise I won't turn into a monkcile. Now go on in with your brother.”
Miran gave Miroku a half worried look, before he turned and hurried inside after his brother.

Sango smiled at Inuhiko as he walked inside, his little face was twisted into a little scowl giving Sango a look into what InuYasha might have looked like as a child. Miran followed soon after, his slate eyes looking as if he were about ready to cry. This caused Sango to worry a bit.
“Miran, what's wrong? Tell me what happened.”
Miran sniffed a few times before trying to answer his Aunt. However, Inuhiko made a remark first as his folded his little arms into his red haori.
“Quit being such a baby Miran. Dad wouldn't want you to cry so get over it.”
Sango frowned at Inuhiko as he walked over to the far wall and sat down. His arms folded and head down as if he were asleep. Taking another breath Miran got ready to tell Sango why he was so up set when his siblings once again interrupted him.
“Ow damn it Sera that hurt!”
Sango's brown orbs widened at Inuhiko's words, causing her to snap at him.
“Inuhiko, you know your mother doesn't allow you to talk like that.”
Inuhiko lowered is golden orbs in shame, before narrowing his eyes at his sister. Sera's cocky yet feminine voice was then heard.
“I only hit you because you deserved it. Mom and Dad told you not to be mean to Miran.”
Inuhiko scoffed at his big sister.
“Mom and Dad told you not to hit us neither; you just did so you're in big trouble.”
Just how was it that Kagome and InuYasha put up with the two of them? Sango had a feeling that she would never figure it out.
“Sera, Inuhiko, both of you cut it out now. Please let your brother finish already.”
Sera lowered her chocolate orbs while Inuhiko lowered his golden ones to the ground.
“Sorry Aunt Sango,” was their only reply.
Kazuo sat quietly in front of the small fire inside the hut. Taking in each bit of action that was going on around him, it wasn't everyday that he got to see his mother yell at his cousins. It was fun in some respects, though he frowned the minute his mother had put a stop to Sera and Inuhiko's fighting. Sango then sighed as she turned back to look at Miran.
This time however he wasted no time in telling her what was on his mind as small crystalline tears started to fall from his eyes.
“There's a snow storm coming, Inuhiko and me tried to get Uncle Miroku to come in with us, but he wouldn't and, and now…”
Sango did her best to sooth Miran's fears as she got him to finish.
“Yes, and now what Miran? Why are you so upset about Miroku not coming in with you?”
Miran took in a quivering breath as he finished at last.
“Uncle Miroku is going to become a monkcile!”
There was no way for Sango to suppress her laughter at Miran's words. Once her fit was over she did her best to comfort her nephew's fears.
“There's nothing to worry about I promise you. Miroku isn't going to become a monkcile.”
Miran however just didn't know if he could believe his Aunt or not. However in a few more minutes they were going to see who was right or not.

A half hour later Miroku rushed into the hut, his teeth were chattering and snow blew inside after him.
“It's…f-freezing o-o-out there, who would have thought that such a storm would come about so suddenly.”
Miran frowned while Inuhiko let a keh slip from his little lips.
“We did that's who, but you just wouldn't listen to us; serves you right if you got frozen.”
Miran scowled at his brother as he ran toward Miroku. He then gripped the bottom of his uncle's robes.
“Uncle Miro, I was worried about you I thought you were going to become a monkcile.”
Miroku raised an eyebrow as he lifted Miran up into his arms; he then looked over at Inuhiko, who was wearing a small smirk upon his face.
“Ah I see, well as you can see I'm not a monkcile. I'm just a little cold that's all.”
Miran smiled up at Miroku as Sango called to them all.
“All right everyone it's time for dinner.”
Miran jumped out of Miroku's arms and all four children ran to sit down around the warm fire inside the small hut. Sango and Miroku smiled after them as they too, went to join them for dinner. Miroku's soft slate eyes glanced over at Sango as she sat down.
“How are you, feeling today Sango?”
Sango gave Miroku a warm smile as she answered him.
“I've been well today, so all in all it's been a good day.”
Miroku simply nodded as they went on enjoying their meal. After that Sera and Kazuo helped Sango clean up after their meal was finished. Miroku with Sera's help got both Inuhiko and Miran washed off and ready for bed. Soon after it was Kazuo's turn, Sera then took her turn with getting ready for bed. Once all the children were tucked in they were soon out like a light. Sango then peeked one last time in on them as she spoke to Miroku.
“Miroku how soon do you think InuYasha and Kagome will return home with Takeshi?”
Miroku's voice was soft and serious as he answered his wife.
“They were due back two days ago right? I think however, with this sudden storm that has happened upon us. I'm not sure when they will be able to return home.”
As soon as Miroku and Sango left the small room, two small black ears twitched on top of Sera's head. Sera had heard everything, knowing the chancing of her mother and father as well as her baby brother being caught out in this storm only made the six year old worry more.
`Don't worry mommy and daddy. I'll come and find you as soon as Aunt Sango and Uncle Miroku go to sleep. If their not going to find you then I will.'

InuYasha frowned as he saw the worried look on Kagome's face. His golden orbs glanced toward the heavy curtain that was pulled over the window. Winter and its snow storms had arrived sooner then they all had thought they would.
“Hey Kagome, you alright, what's the matter?”
Kagome did her best to give InuYasha a small smile as she spoke too him.
“I'm probably just worrying too much that's all.”
InuYasha raised an eyebrow at hearing this as he continued to watch his mate in her worry.
“Worrying over what, Rin will be fine and Takeshi is sleeping; so what else do you have to worry over?”
Kagome smiled at how simple minded her husband could be at times.
“I was just wondering how Sango was doing. This baby she's carrying this time is very special to her and Miroku. Then there are Sera and the twins we were due home two days ago and then all of this snow came; Sera is probably worried sick over us.”
InuYasha placed a comforting hand on Kagome's shoulder as he did his best to reassure her that everything was going to be fine.
“Sango is fine and the kids are with Sango and Miroku. They are probably having loads of fun. Sera is a big girl Kagome, she knows I'm with you so she knows that you and Takeshi will be safe. So stop worrying already.”
Kagome's eyes slowly started to drift closed as sleep slowly started to claim her, her head was rested against InuYasha's shoulder. One last response slipped through her mind as she finally drifted off to sleep.
`Oh InuYasha, if you only knew how gentle your daughter really was. She acts tough but she's really shy and gentle inside. Just like her father.'

“Sesshomaru my Lord, do you think Lord Ringo and his family will be alright in this storm? I heard the other day from some of the servants that Lady Sumo is human like me.”
Sesshomaru gave a slight nod as his cold golden orbs seemed to be trained, on something far off in the whiting lands.
“That is indeed true Rin. However, there is no need to worry if my suspicions are correct they should be here by if all possible tomorrow.”
Rin however was slightly stunned by Sesshomaru's words.
“How though Sesshomaru I would have thought that this snow would make it impossible for them to travel in.”
Sesshomaru couldn't help but smirk at Rin's innocence.
“You seem to forget Rin that Lord Ringo is a full blooded demon like myself, as are three of his mates. We have different modes for traveling when there is a need to use them. I assure you that they all will arrive safely.
He then turned toward Rin as he placed a kiss on top of her head. His eyes then drift too Rin's growing abdomen. Even though he wasn't all that sure about the gestation period of humans, Sesshomaru couldn't help but wonder if his half brother's mate was off on Rin's due date. It had only been a few days since he and InuYasha had lost their tempers and since then had been keeping their tempers in check.
After a few more minutes Sesshomaru simply explained Rin's seemly large abdomen to be due to the fact that Rin was petite in size and that was all that it was.
“Rin it is getting late, you should retire for the night. You and the unborn pup need your rest. Come I will accompany you there.”
Rin nodded to Sesshomaru in a gentle agreement, she then took the offered hand of her lord and husband. A wave of dizziness over came her, forcing her to keep her elegant composer; she did not wish to worry Sesshomaru and cause him to see her as weak. However Sesshomaru picked up on her slight waver, his normal cold eyes showed a flicker of concern for her.
“Rin, is something wrong?”
Shaking her head no, Rin managed to smile softly at Sesshomaru.
“No my Lord, everything is fine I just realized how tired I truly am.”
Which wasn't completely wrong, she did get rather tired whenever these dizzy spells happened. Kagome herself hadn't figured out why the dizzy spells happened in the first place. The only thing she had come up with was that it was just Rin's body's way of dealing with her pregnancy.
Sesshomaru's words and actions surprised Rin as her lord did something she had not expected.
“Very well then I shall carry you to our chambers.”
Rin gasped out in surprise as Sesshomaru lifted up into his one strong arm and continued his regal pace down the stone hallway. Rin did her best to convince her Lord otherwise.
“No, Sesshomaru, really Rin is fine, I can walk there myself.”
Sesshomaru raised an eyebrow at Rin speaking in the first person. She had not done that since she was a child. Sesshomaru knew she was doing her best to remain strong.
“Rin you continued to amaze this Sesshomaru. However, there is no need for it here, you are ill are you not; another dizzy spell has happened has it not? Rin you can not hide too much from me. Your skin color is paler then normal, and your scent is duller. I shall carry you the rest of the way, you will not strain your body when there is no need for it.”
Rin sighed as she slowly drifted off to sleep where strange dreams awaited her.
Rin's Dream
By the muggy feel in the air it was summer, which confused Rin for it was suppose too be winter; just where did all of the snow go? Rin smiled as fireflies danced out in the open meadow that surround her, just where was she? Just as she was about to settle down in the soft grass and let the fireflies dance upon her fingers. She realized something very important, she was no longer pregnant yet she couldn't recall giving birth yet.
“Could I be dreaming? Yes that must be it, I'm dreaming about the warmth of summer.”
Suddenly the frightened scream of a child echoed from within the forest that was to her right. Causing Rin to look in the direction of the child's voice, her footsteps were hurried as she crushed strands of grass beneath her feet. She didn't know whose child it was but she understood what it was like to be frightened and that is what it sounded like the child was.
Once she reached the forest line Rin froze in place, the child crying was a hanyou of five or six. At first glance the child which Rin realized was a young boy looked very much like InuYasha, however his face seemed to resemble Sesshomaru very much. He was dressed in a haori of white with golden crescent moons upon it. However it was the two magenta stripes on the left side of his neck.
Was this beautiful child hers and Sesshomaru's? Why was he running through the forest and why was he crying? That's when Rin saw what he was running from a horde of demons were chasing him. Her heart seemed to freeze inside of her chest as the little boy tripped and fell to the ground. Fear seemed to be his motivation for pulling himself up and running once more.
Tears stung Rin's eyes as she heard the child call out to someone for help.
“Father, I just wanted to make you proud, now I'm even a more disgrace to your name I sorry father. I'll miss you mother.”
The child looked like his body was about to give up on him, just as he foot got caught in a tree root. The demons were coming closer and there was no where for him to run.
“Looky there it's a little half breed. He won't make too much of a meal, but that's ok.”
Another demon argued with the first.
“I s-s-saw him f-f-first he's-s-s mine.”
No one had been there to save her when the wolves had chased and attacked her. That wasn't true for the little boy it made no difference to her weather or not he was a hanyou to her he was just a child in need. She was here and she just couldn't let the demons kill him. Without giving it much thought Rin jumped in front of the demons and threw her body over the child's.
“It will be all right your safe now I promise you.”
Dream's End

Being as quiet as she could muster Sera, slipped out into the front part of Sango's and Miroku's large hut. Her get away was good so far for both Sango and Miroku were sound asleep. Slowly making her way toward the small fire, Sera realized that there was nothing in the fireplace but hot coals. Not wanting her family to get cold Sera gentle laid a few stick upon the red hot coals and waited for them to catch fire. Once the fire was crackling again, Sera slipped out into the cold darkness of the night.
The wind was bone chilling as Sera continued onward through the snow. She was sure that if it had been for the purple haori that her father had given her that she would have become a Popsicle the minute she stepped out into the snowy night. Sera ignored the stinging cold on the soles of her feet, she had one object and that was finding her mother, father and baby brother.
Once she was sure that they were safe would she relax, there were a million different things that swam inside her head as she pressed on in the direction her parents had taken before the snow had started to fall. Sera knew that she loved her new little brother, but she couldn't deny that she was disappointed when her new sibling was born and turned out to be another boy. As she pushed her way through the windy snowstorm, Sera found herself releasing held in anger at her brothers.
`It's not fair why do I have to be the only girl in our family beside mom. It's just not fair, I want a little sister.'
Sera's mind seemed to scream out the last part of her thought. Her body pulsed a lavender color for a mere second as Sera slowly started to get control over her emotions. The blue beaded rosary that was similar in design to Inuyasha's glowed as Sera felt a calming effect on her. She then continued to trudge through the building snowfall.
Hours upon hours passed, when Sera at last collapsed into a snow drift. The snow however continued to fall until, her black ears were barely visible through snow that was piling up on her. For the longest time Sera did her best not to give in to the cold that was slowly starting to envelop her, the snow stung her eyes as it continued to fall; Sera soon gave herself to the fuzzy darkness that was wrapping around her.

Kagome sat up in bed suddenly an unsettled feeling was settling down in the pit of her stomach. InuYasha's worried voice was soon heard.
“Kagome, what is it what's wrong?”
Seeing how they had defeated Naraku and the jewel was now whole, InuYasha knew it wasn't a jewel shard that Kagome sensed. Kagome gave her head a little shake.
“You know it's probably nothing, I'm just being a protective mother. I just got a feeling that Sera is in danger. But that's just silly she's with Sango and Miroku so I have nothing to worry about.”
InuYasha wrapped a strong arm around Kagome as he did his best to comfort her. She was worrying to much, however secretly InuYasha was starting to worry about their pups as well. This was the first time in a long time they had been away from them for so long.
`Everyone better be safe when all of this snow slows down. That's all I have to say.'
88888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888 888888888
Elsewhere in the castle, Rin gave a start as she sat up in bed. Her whole body was shaking, and perspiration was beading across her forehead. She then leaned her face into a hand as she did her best to clear her mind from the nightmare she had just awaken from, just what did it all mean?
Rin's cinnamon eyes glanced over to the right side of the bed. It had yet to be slept in, which meant that Sesshomaru was in his study and probably wouldn't be coming to bed at all tonight. Climbing out of bed Rin pulled on a long fur robe, as she made her way out of the room and down the castle corridor. Rin smiled warmly at that the bright flickering flames of the warm fire that were dancing inside the hearth.
The dream that she had awakened from disturbed her greatly. Just what had it meant? She placed a nervous hand on her abdomen. Could it have meant that the pup she was carrying was going to be in danger some day? The other question she had, was why had she had the dream in the first place?
Rin had a feeling that there was a chance that she may never know the answer to that question. Then she thought that perhaps strange prophecy dreams were merely a part of being pregnant. It was something she figured she would ask Kagome later on.

Sesshomaru looked up from the scroll he had been reading as Jakken entered the room, with Mina in tow.
“Master Sesshomaru, Lord Ringo and his family have arrived.”
Sesshomaru's voice remained ever so stoic as he spoke.
“I see, Jaken see Lord Ringo and his wives to the two co-joining guest rooms in the south west.”
His steely gold eyes then settled on Mina's silver orbs, his voice was just as cold as before when he had spoken to Jakken.
“Mina you shall see to any and every need Lord Ringo's mates will need. Is this understood?”
Mina bowed graciously to her lord as she spoke.
“Yes my Lord.”
Sesshomaru added one more request to Mina's list before excusing her from his sight.
“Go and see to Rin as well and make sure she is comfortable, I have much to finish up for tomorrow and will not be able to join her tonight.”
Mina bowed once more before disappearing from Sesshomaru sight. She would see to they guest first though a part of her wished she could see to her lady first. Mina disliked Lord Ringo's first mate Lady Akako, there was just something that did not sit well with Mina about the ebony haired Lady.

Sango suddenly jerked awake, her breathing was labored as she sat up. Just what was it that had caused her to awaken so fast? Sango's sudden movement caused Miroku to awaken from beside her.
“Sango dear, what is it? Is it the baby tell me what is troubling you?”
She gave him a soft smiled as she answered him.
“No I'm fine and so is the baby I'm not sure what caused me to awaken.”
After struggling to her feet she then looked down at Miroku.
“Since I'm up, I'll go check in on the children.”
Miroku just smiled at her as he himself sat up, and leaned against the wall.
88888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888 888888
Sliding the door open very slowing, Sango glanced at Kazuo who was sleeping soundly. Her gaze then fell on, Inuhiko and Miran both boys looked as though they had, had a fight with something in their bed rolls. When her eyes drifted over to Sera's sleeping place her heart almost stopped inside her chest. Sera was gone her bed had been slept in, but she was no longer there. Just where could she have gone at this time of night? That's when a thought hit her.
`Oh no she must have heard Miroku and me talking, that means she out in this snow storm somewhere looking for InuYasha and Kagome.'
Without giving it another's moment thought, Sango rushed back out to the front room. There was no hiding the panic in her voice as she called to Miroku.
“Miroku, Sera is gone!”
At hearing this Miroku jumped to his feet in an instant.
“Gone, what do you mean she gone Sango.”
“I mean hoshi that she isn't in her bed. My only guess is that she heard us talking before we went to bed and…”
Miroku was kind enough to finish Sango's words for her.
“She went to look for Kagome and InuYasha on her own, in all of this snow.”
Fear seized Sango's heart as she gripped Miroku's sleeve.
“It doesn't matter if she's got demon blood in her veins, she's just a child. Miroku she could freeze to death out there. I promised Kagome I'd take care of her children while she, Takeshi and InuYasha were away and now one of them is missing.”
Miroku however understood how Sango felt; he had made the same promise to InuYasha and he hadn't kept it.
“It's my fault Miroku, Sera is a light sleeper just like InuYasha she hears everything.”
Miroku placed a gentle hand on Sango's shoulder, as he did his best to comfort her.
“If we must point the blame at someone, then I will take full responsibility for Sera's disappearance.”
A lone tear slid down Sango's right cheek at the sound of Miroku's words. Her voice was a mere whisper as she spoke.
“Oh Miroku.”
Kirara had awakened at the sound of Sango's worried voice, looked up questioningly up at Sango and then Miroku. She then mewed to get their attention.
“Kirara and I will go and get Shippo. We will then start our search for Sera.”
`I just hope we find her and time, if we don't I don't even want to think about what InuYasha might do to me.'
Seeing Sango standing in front of him, with misty eyes. Miroku leaned forward and kissed her gently on the cheek.
“I will be back soon I promise you Sango. We'll find her that is something I am sure of.”
Miroku's slate colored orbs widen when the met with two golden ones, which caused him to flinch in panic. He then realized that the two golden orbs he was staring into belonged to Inuhiko.
`When he looks at you like that it really looks like you're looking at InuYasha.'
Without saying a word Miroku looked at Inuhiko and then bowed to him before he and Kirara disappeared into the white darkness.
There had been no words needed, because their words had been spoken through their eyes.
`Find Sera Uncle Miroku and bring her back safe.'
`Inuhiko, do you're best to look after Sango and the baby for me. Not to mention Kazuo and Miran.'
Inuhiko shook those thoughts from his head, his father had told him to look after Sango and everyone and that's what he planned on doing.
“Aunt Sango it's still early you should sleep. I'll sit here until you do, if you would like.”
Without waiting for an answer Inuhiko went and sat before the fire. His hands were tucked into each one of his haori sleeves, and his eyes seemed to be almost molten gold as he stared into the flames of the fire, his little mouth set in thought.
A soft smile found its way onto Sango's lips as she watched the oldest of the twins. This was the first time she noticed how much like InuYasha he really was.
`He's so young yet his mind is still set on staying up until I fall asleep. I wonder why?'
Finally without giving her any more time to ponder it Sango so fell asleep. While Inuhiko remained awake and watch, his mind seemed to working of more complex things then it normally did.
`Sera is gone for now so it's up to me, too make sure everyone is safe. I won't let you down dad.'
Not once during his watch did the three year-old hanyou's gaze waver from his Aunt Sango. It was only after he was sure that she was asleep his he let his little eyes droop closed. Yet his golden orbs sprung open each time his little ear picked up a sound as they twitched on top of his head of silver hair.
While elsewhere Miroku and Kirara continued on their way to look for Shippo. Myoga made his own surprising discovery as he traveled on the back of a snow colored fox.

Snuggling as deep as he could into the animal's fur, Myoga hurried the fox onward through the snow.
“Hurry, hurry if we don't find shelter soon we both will be in big trouble.”
Just then a very familiar scent came to Myoga, it smelled like Lord InuYasha and Kagome.
“Wait stop here you fox.”
He then began to point his arms wildly in one direction.
There, over there go over there.”
Giving in to the flea's pleas the fox trudged through the snow in direction Myoga was pointing in. Once they reached a strange mound of snow, Myoga realized that the scent was coming from the snow mound.
“Oh my, dig, fox dig hurry up now.”
The fox hurriedly dug its paws into the snow as it dug deeper, Myoga's little eyes widened in horror at who they had uncovered.
“Lady Sera, what are you doing out in all this weather?”
Without being told the fox did it's best to put Sera one it's back.
“I must find somewhere warm to put her. Sango and Miroku are a little ways from here that must be where little Sera came from. Once I'm sure she's safe, should I go and tell Lord InuYasha what has happened?”
He wasn't keen on the idea, yet at the same time he knew it was his duty to his lord.
