(A/N: Well here I am I know it been awhile since I updated this story. However I had other stories and ideas call out to me first. I'm still reeling over the fact that this story has 160 reviews, I'm so happy. As to the answer to sesshoumaruluver14's question, Yes Takeshi had been a big boy. InuYasha saying that it was twins again was just a little way to make her wonder, to where even she believed it was true; until he was born that is. Well enough of my babbling now on with the story.)

Last Time in Cry of the Heart:

“Is it truly possible, could this Sesshomaru become a father?”
His cold amber orbs looked out the window and saw the heavy snow that was falling outside. Getting up he pulled the heavy blind down, it appeared that his brother and wife would have to stay longer then they had planned. Sesshomaru then once again took his place beside of Rin's sleeping form. His eyes then traveled down to stare at her abdominal area. The idea of having a pup with this one woman, who had managed to melt the ice that had build up around his heart all of these years, was slowly starting to grow on him. Second by second, minute by minute, Sesshomaru was slowly starting to realize that his pride no longer mattered, and that this pup could grow up to be strong as well.
He then did something even he, himself hadn't expected. Sesshomaru slowly brought his right hand to Rin's abdomen; he then gently laid it on top of it. His eyes widened for a moment when he felt the small demonic aura, coming from Rin's abdominal area in small waves.
`Is this what it feelings like to know that you are responsible for creating life, instead of destroying it? What other strange feelings will I feel as the next several months go by? Will I even be able to stand it?'
Sesshomaru's eyes then drifted once more over Rin's sleeping face. That's when he realized it, it had never been clear to him but now it was.
“Yes, Rin for you I shall be able to bare anything. I still find it strange that you are able to do this to this Sesshomaru. However, that is for another time. For now I shall attend to whatever you may need.”

Chapter 9: Coming to Terms
By Tainted InuShemeeko

Flinging open the heavy oak doors to the guest room, Kagome ran towards the large bed and threw herself upon it. Her body shook with each sob that escaped her lips. How could he be so heartless? Kagome had been sure that Sesshomaru had feelings for Rin. She knew that he didn't think highly of half breeds, but this child was just as much a part of him as it was Rin.
A few minutes later, Kagome felt the bed shift as InuYasha sat down beside her. Even though she couldn't see his frown she knew he was wearing it. He wore a deep frown every time she wept.
“Come on Kagome, tell me what's wrong. I know Sesshomaru is an insensitive bastard sometimes, but there's no real reason to cry.”
After a few seconds Kagome slowly lifted her head from the pillow to reveal her two chocolate tear streaked eyes.
“What do you mean there is no reason to cry. We're talking about a little tiny innocent life InuYasha. Of course there's a reason to cry, Sesshomaru acted as if Rin has the plague or something.”
InuYasha smiled lightly at Kagome as he spoke as gently to her as he could.
“I hate to be saying this, but give Sesshomaru some time to adjust to things. It's true that he's naturally cold, but I can't say he's heartless not after everything he's done for Rin. Hey if I remember right, I was scared when I found out about Sera remember.”
Kagome giggled lightly as fresh tears fell down her cheeks.
“Yes, I remember the way you acted, but there's a difference between you and Sesshomaru. You wanted pups some day, Sesshomaru on the other hand doesn't want any at all.”
InuYasha just shrugged his shoulders as he picked Takeshi out of the cloth carrier. He then handed his son over to his mate. Kagome rocked and cooed at him as the month and half old looked up at her with his little golden orbs. She then slowly ran a finger down the magenta stripes on one of his little cheeks.
“I just don't understand InuYasha; I don't get how anyone wouldn't want something so precious.”
InuYasha watched the sweet moment between his mate and son as he remembered three other times he had seen such a sight. His ears twitched as he heard Kagome speak again. Her fingers trailed through the short black strands on Takeshi's head.
“InuYasha, if you had told me that you didn't want Sera when I found out I was carrying her, I'm not sure I would have been able to live.”
Kagome then smiled down at Takeshi, who had fallen asleep while he was nursing. She then gently handed him to InuYasha who took him with ease. Kagome smiled when she saw the wooden cradle that still remained in the guest room from the last time they had been there. She then watched as InuYasha laid Takeshi down in the cradle, her head resting on his shoulder as she did so. A question suddenly drifted to mind and Kagome just had to ask it.
“Um…InuYasha can I ask you something?”
InuYasha turned to where his molten golden orbs were looking straight at Kagome as he answered.
“Yeah what is it Kagome?”
Kagome however, tried to just let it go at first.
“It's nothing just a silly thought I was having, that's all. It's no big deal.”
InuYasha frowned at his mate. If there was one thing he had learned from being Kagome's mate it was that no matter the thought there was a meaning behind it.
“Nothing is ever silly to you Kagome. So what is it what have you been thinking about?”
Kagome seemed to be giving it some more thought before she answered him.
“I was thinking that after Takeshi is about two or so, maybe we could…you know try for another one.”
InuYasha couldn't believe what he was hearing; Kagome was talking about having another pup. It was impossible. Confusion showed in his voice when he spoke.
“You want another pup, but I thought after Takeshi was born you were done? I don't understand Kagome.”
Kagome couldn't help but smile at how innocent InuYasha sounded right about then, that was one of the things she loved about him.
“You're right I was but then I never really asked you what you wanted.”
InuYasha gave Kagome a small grin as he squeezed her hand gently with his own. He then placed a kiss on her forehead, before bringing her lips to his.
“Kagome, we could just have the four pups we have now, or we could have fifteen. It wouldn't really matter to me as long as I had you with me.”
Kagome giggled as she rubbed her nose against InuYasha's. Yep that was her InuYasha and she wouldn't want him any other way.
“Fifteen pups, don't you think that's a little much?”
InuYasha however just smirked at the shocked expression that was on her face.
“What you wanted to know my opinion right? Beside fifteen was the first number I came up with, so sue me. You know we could have fifteen pups, seeing how we'll have forever together. That gives us more then enough time to have that many.”
InuYasha's mate giggled at his choice of words before she chose to reply to him.
“You see, you really can think things though when you want too; and Miroku always said the only time you used your head was when feeding your stomach.”
It took InuYasha several minutes for what Kagome had said to sink in, but when they did.
“WHAT! Like Miroku has any room to talk. The only thinking he knows how to do is with that lecherous hand or his di…um I mean his manliness. I mean their boy is only four and Sango is expecting another one.”
His last remark caused Kagome to raise an eyebrow at him as she put her hands on her hips.
“Oh really InuYasha, then what does that make you, the horniness dog of the year? We have Sera, who is six, the twins are both three and we have a one month old, and you want to say that Miroku is the worst.”
InuYasha winced at Kagome's tone of voice, as he tried to find a way to defend himself.
“No Kagome wait that's not what I meant, I mean Sango was pregnant before you were twice already, and the babies didn't make it. All I was saying that I know the two of them want kids, but I think they're rushing it a little bit is all.”
InuYasha sighed as he saw the glimmer of sadness in Kagome's eyes.
“I'm half Inu Youkai Kagome; my life span differs from a normal human's. Just like Sesshomaru differs from a normal human's. Kagome you were my life mate the day I fused our blood together, I made it so that you would live for as long as I would.”
His heart ached as he watched Kagome lower her head towards her lap. He then placed a hand under her chin and gently lifted it up, he then kissed her forehead.
“I heard rumors when I was a child about demons who had favorite human servants or advisors that they bonded to themselves using the same technique I did to bond you to me. Myoga was always talking about all the different scrolls my father has on ancient text. Maybe while we're here I can find out more in father's old library.”
Kagome did her best to smile at InuYasha, she hoped InuYasha could find away to make Sango and Miroku to be able to age with them. There was another bright spot to being bonded to InuYasha and being a Miko, anyone who was tied in with Kagome's blood had their lives lengthened as well. Her grandpa however, had died peacefully in his sleep on the very day Kagome had been bitten by the snake.
Shaking her head clear of memories, Kagome turned her misty eyes back to InuYasha as she kissed him. It was light and gentle at first, until InuYasha deepened the kiss by pulling Kagome closer to him.
I swear to you Kagome, I will do whatever's in my power to keep our family together. No matter what, I'll do anything to make you happy.”
As their contact increased, Kagome felt herself falling backwards until her back landed on the softness of the bed behind her. Her raven locks gracefully spilling out behind her. Kagome soon found herself warming to InuYasha's touch. She smiled inwardly to her self, InuYasha was going to take a bittersweet moment and turn it into one of the sweetest she had ever had. It was one of the many ways InuYasha choose to show how much he loved her.

Sesshomaru's cold golden orbs looked over the letter that was in his hands once more. He had received it earlier while he had been watching Rin sleep.
Flashback:
“Mi lord Sesshomaru, pardon my intrusion but Lord Ringo of the Southern lands has sent word to you. Do you wish for me to read it to you my lord?”
Sesshomaru glanced in Jaken's direction, causing the toad youkai to shiver slightly in fear. His master's cold voice caused several cold chills to run up his spine.
“That will not be necessary Jaken, you may go.”
The toad bowed graciously to his lord as he disappeared out the door. Sesshomaru's cold golden orbs looked down at the letter before opening it.
Greeting to you, Lord Sesshomaru of the Western lands,
Upon our last meeting I had promised to let you and Lady Rin meet my second wife Sumo, when she was well enough to travel. I am keeping with that promise and I am bringing her with me as well as our son Shusui, Akako and Yei will be accompanying us, as will Takai my third wife.
I have heard of your resent battle with Lord Yayoi, as well as his death. Know this Sesshomaru; Yayoi will not be the last one to come against you. Allow me to ally myself with you Lord Sesshomaru, let us come to arms together against our enemies. The alliance I speak of is a union between two of our children some day. Which child it is to be or even if there is truly going to be one I shall leave it up to you and your Lady.
My family and I should be arriving in the Western Land in a week or so. Once again I deeply regret my actions from a few months ago.
With great Sincerity,
Lord Ringo, Lord of the Southern Lands
End
&&&&&&&&&&&
Sesshomaru looked up from the letter once more, as Lord Ringo words echoed inside his head. He was unsure if he wished to have such a joining with the lord of the South. However arranged marriages between lords wasn't uncommon, his mother and father had been joined together in such a way. The odds were that if his father had not died from the wounds he received in battle then Sesshomaru himself may have been mated to someone, before he had met Rin.
“So you are arriving in a week Lord Ringo. I shall be expecting you then. However, don't not be too cocky to believe, that I will readily join forces with you we shall talk first and then decisions will be made.”
His chilly honey golden orbs glance over at Rin's resting form. Her dark chocolate strands spilling across the pillow in soft waves, his Rin was beautiful no matter how she was dressed or whether she was awake or asleep. Sesshomaru soon found himself glancing down toward Rin's womb where their unborn pup lay. Without realizing it Sesshomaru brought his hand up to lay upon the womb. Within a few seconds he felt the familiar aura from before come and swirl with his own. In that small moment an actual smile of happiness danced across, his usually still lips.
`So this is what it feels like to know you have had a hand in creating new life.'
However pleased Sesshomaru seemed to be now, would come to its first test in the next twelve to forty-eight hours.

Lord Ringo couldn't help but smiled at his two month old son as has he babbled on Sumo's lap as he led the horse carrying the two forward. Shusui as Sumo had named him had the same golden colored hair of his father, his eyes were the same stunning violet of his mother's, a pale blue striped graced his right cheek. The only sign of him being a breed was the two small golden ears perched on top of his little head.
The sapphire orbs of the Southern Lord, then cast a worried glance over at his lovely mate Akako. Though an Inu youkai like her lord, her family did not own any land of their own. Akako had been lucky enough to be mated to Lord Ringo by chance, at the time of their meeting Ringo had been sixteen in human years and very much a teenager in demon years at the age of twenty-seven. The young lord had been taken by her stunning beauty with her sparkling ruby eyes that he had ask for her hand in marriage.
Ringo soon found himself looking at Akako's womb that was just slightly starting to strain against her violet kimono, it was the only sign that told that the first wife of the Southern lord was expecting in five months time. He loved all of his wives, he truly did yet some times he found Akako and Yei a little over whelming. The only one of his wives that he truly desired was his raven haired, violet eyed Sumo. There were times when he found his powers of persuasion to be…
`A curse that is what I am a walking living breathing curse.'
“Are you alright my lord?”
The gentle sound of Takai's voice shook Ringo out of his thoughts as he brought his sapphire eyes up to meet with her liquid gold orbs. Her midnight blue hair was braided into two different plats, that were then brought together to make one large braid. She herself was a hybrid of an inu youkai and a wolf.
Ringo's eyes softened as he looked at Takai.
“No I'm fine Takai I just have a lot of matters of importance on my mind is all.”
A few minutes later he felt the fuzzy warm feeling of Akako's thoughts entering his mind.
`Ringo you should go with Takai and clear your mind.'
`I can't do that it would leave you, Sumo and Shusui unprotected.'
Lord Ringo then glanced over at Akako who was now staring in the lord's direction with her ruby orbs.
`Yei is here with us it will give us all a break from riding. So go on Takai seems to be able to help you in ways I cannot.'
Ringo gave Akako, Sumo, Shusui and Yei one more glance before nodding his head. He then started walking in the direction of a small stream. Once there Ringo glanced at his reflection in the water.
“My Lord, what is it that troubles you?”
Ringo's voice was just a whisper as he spoke.
“Why is it that we are together Takai?”
Takai was startled at first by Ringo's words; she had not expected him to sound so sad.
“We are together my lord, because our parents saw it fit. Our mating was planned even before we were born.”
No that's not what he wanted to hear he wanted the true and it was something she was not giving him. She was his, he had marked her, she was his best friend and yet she dared to hurt him like this. He had to know why.
“Yes, that is true we were friends as young pups. Yet you never truly allowed me to love you, I have never truly been able to have you. Father told me about the herbs you were taking.”
Ringo's bright sapphire orbs turned cold as he heard Takai gasp. For she now knew that her lord knew the truth.
“You lied to my father, there were never any herbs. If you didn't love me and you didn't wish to mate you could have told me. I would have let you go to him, is his wolf blood so much better them mine?”
Takai found herself shaking as her knees buckled beneath her. Crystalline tears fell from her golden orbs as her lord looked at her. Her voice was choked as she tried to speak to Ringo.
“I did love, I do love you but you always seemed to be with Akako or Sumo and then Yei came to the castle…I felt out of place I was unsure of your feelings for me.”
Ringo now found himself somewhere between anger and sadness, as he lashed out at Takai.
“I am with Akako because she was the first; I only went and fell in love with Sumo because you were never to be found. I do love you Takai, I LOVE you I love all of you that's why I'm torn. I could easily let Miyoko go because I didn't have feelings for her.”
Takai's tear stained orbs looked up at Ringo as she questioned him.
“What are your feelings for Yei?”
Ringo's eyes started to warm again as he looked away from Takai.
“I'm not sure yet, she was a gift from a wolf leader in the eastern part of the South. Her father was ill and asked me to take her into my care. She has a gentle heart and she is very protective of Shusui and Sumo. I do care for her however, I am unsure if I can truly say that I love her. I'm fond of her but only in time will I be able to say that I love her.”
Ringo stiffened at first when he felt Takai come up behind him and touch his shoulder. The scent of male wolf hung heavily upon her. Ringo growled at the scent, she had been with him recently. His voice was now low and husky as he turned to face her.
“You realize that I could kill you now, if I so desired. However that is not what I desire.”
His sapphire orbs, glanced down at the fading blue sun mark on her pale neck. It was slowly being replaced by another mark, one of the setting sun behind the horizon. Not wanting his moment to be disturbed, nor his other mates and pups harmed Lord Ringo let his demon aura flow until a good barrier had been formed.
This time he wasn't going to make any more mistakes, the minute he had bonded her to him there would be no free dibs on her, which included the pup she might even now be carrying. Taking a firm hold on Takai's shoulders he let his actions be known as he bit once more at the side of her neck were he had once marked her. Having had bitten the inside of his mouth before biting her. His blood was quickly sealing the mating mark this time it was the setting sun that was fading as the image of a flaming blue sun seemed to burn through the other image.
“Takai, do you still wonder of this Lord's feelings for you?”
Takai was speechless for the moment as she felt the same things that Akako, Sumo, and maybe even Yei had experienced when Ringo had joined to them for life. A few of Ringo's thoughts swam through her mind. However, the one thing that had the strongest effect on her were Ringo's emotions and his true feelings for her.
For the first time in her life Takai found herself moan in her lord's arms as his tongue flicked across his newly made mark. Part of her wanted to scream no and fight Ringo for control as the image of her white wolf lover Kaori flashed in her mind. Kaori's images however was soon washed away way the heated sensation that was passing through her body as her lord nipped at the bonding mark on her neck. Ringo's lips soon came and devoured Takai's into his own. He then continued to send wave pleasure and ecstasy to his reclaimed mate. Never again would she feel unwanted some how he would make sure that none of them ever felt that way again.
`Though, I'm bound to be one tired lord when I am done for the day.'

InuYasha glanced over at Kagome who was now sleeping peacefully beside him. His mind drifted to what they had been talking about before they had decided that they could once again take comfort in each others arms. The thought of having another pup one day when Takeshi was a little older made his heart soar with happiness. In many respects he had been an only child, for even though there were only a few years between them. Sesshomaru hatred for humans and weak half-breeds had caused InuYasha to grow up alone. It was something that he had known the minute that Sera was born that he did not want for his daughter.
Though his wishes had been answered three folds before either he or Kagome had expected. First with the surprise of Inuhiko and Miran and then again with their little Takeshi, if there was one thing that his pups had taught him was the value of patience. Sera made InuYasha want to pull his hair out at times, he couldn't see how a girl could be so nasty to her siblings that were three years her junior. The twins were a mystery to both of their parents, one minute Inuhiko was the shy one and Miran was the one being loud and then it was as if they switched places with one another.
InuYasha chuckled to himself as one thought came to mind, most of the time he found a lot of himself in Inuhiko especially at the age he was now. Miran however, didn't seem to have any thing in common with his mother or father. InuYasha's eyebrow twitched as another image flashed through his mind. Something that made him wish Miran was here instead of with his Uncle Miroku. Being as cute as he was Miran had no problem looking up at young woman or little girls and getting them to give him a treat.
`When we get home I've got to make sure Miran isn't left alone two seconds with Miroku. I've got to but a stop to this now or we'll have another Miroku running around the village.'
InuYasha's ears twitched as he heard movement coming from the wooden cradle. Not wanting to wake Kagome just yet. He quietly slipped from the bed to go and peek on his infant son. InuYasha smiled at his son who was still in dream land; well at least he was for a few more seconds. Making sure the warm quilt was wrapped warmly around Takeshi's little body. InuYasha picked him up into his arms as he took him for a walk, bouncing him gently in his arms as he walked.
“Come little man we'll go for a walk while your mother sleeps a little while longer.”
InuYasha didn't even flinch as his bare feet walked across the stone floor. Pushing aside the thick maroon curtain, he then walked out on to the balcony with his son cooing rapidly in his arms. His little golden orbs, locked with his father's as InuYasha stared down at him. Out of all of his pups Takeshi amazed him the most the day he was born. The minute InuYasha had seen the head of dark hair, he had been sure that he had his first human looking pup. Then his eyes had caught sight of the jagged magenta stripes on his cheeks that he had been taken completely by surprise. InuYasha's surprise had quickly turned to wonder the minute Takeshi had blinked and opened his eyes revealing two bright golden orbs so much like his own and Inuhiko's.
Takeshi was also the only pup that InuYasha was unsure of what he would be like when he was the same age of his siblings. Seeing how he never knew what Kagome had been like as a child, he could only guess that Takeshi was going to be like his mother. Then again there were a few qualities of Kagome's that InuYasha didn't want double of, like her temper.
Continuing to bounce Takeshi in his arms as he walked, InuYasha then started to talk to his son aloud.
“So what's your take on it Takeshi, would you like to have a little brother or sister one day? You'd have someone smaller than you to look out for, just like Sera looks out for you and your two brother and Inuhiko and Miran look out for you.”
InuYasha laughed lightly at the endless babble that seemed to be pouring out almost as if he was trying to tell his father that he liked the idea very much. However, it was the squeal and the little smile that got InuYasha attention the most.
“All right you got it little man; I'll see what can be done about that, you sure seemed to like that idea a lot.”
InuYasha then decided to take Takeshi for a walk around the castle. As he walked out of the guest room and down the candle lit hallway, he looked down into his son's bright golden eyes and asked,
“I can't believe I'm saying this but how would you like to go see your Aunt Rin and maybe your Uncle Sesshomaru?”
What happened next caught InuYasha completely off guard. In a shimmer of light blue light Takeshi disappeared from his father's arms, leaving InuYasha holding onto the quilt that he had wrapped his son in earlier.
“What the hell was that?”
That's when InuYasha realized how light the blanket in his arms had become. Looking down at the blanket InuYasha started to panic.
“Takeshi, where the hell did you go? Takeshi, Takeshi.”
A few seconds later InuYasha cringed at the muffled sleep filled voice of his wife broke through the air.
“InuYasha, what's going on why are you yelling?”
She then looked down at the blanket that InuYasha was holding.
“Um, InuYasha where's Takeshi? Where's our son?”
This was one moment where InuYasha didn't know what to say so he stuttered,
“He was right here in my arms and then he just disappeared.”
Kagome narrowed her eyes at InuYasha as she yelled at him.
“WHAT do you mean he just disappeared?”
InuYasha himself started to heat up as his mate yelled at him.
“I mean I had him in my arms one minute and then the next his was gone in a flash of light blue light.”
Kagome's chocolate orbs widened at hearing InuYasha's words.
“No, that's not possible; Sera and the twins never did everything like that.”
InuYasha just frowned at Kagome.
“I know that. That's why I didn't understand why he disappeared.”
Now it was Kagome who was starting to panic as she grabbed onto the sleeves of InuYasha's haori.
“We have to find him, he's just a baby.”
InuYasha did his best to comfort Kagome as tears started to form in her eyes.
“Hey don't cry Kagome, we'll find him so don't worry.”
Kagome just nodded her head as she and InuYasha started their search for their infant son.

Sesshomaru's golden orbs held a hint of worry to them as he watched Rin sit herself up better in the bed.
“Are you feeling any better now Rin, has the dizziness subsided any?”
Rin smiled lightly up at Sesshomaru as she replied to him.
“Yes, my lord the dizziness has passed. There seems to be a lot of things that I shall have to get use to.”
Sesshomaru just nodded his reply. His eyes however widened suddenly as a light blue light filtered into the room and seemed to come to a rest in Rin's arms. Once the bright light had faded, Sesshomaru was greeted by a surprise. There resting in Rin's arms was his youngest nephew Takeshi. The little pup continued to smile and giggle as he looked up at Rin. Rin's cinnamon orbs widened in surprise at seeing Takeshi there in her arms just where had he come from. Sesshomaru's stoic and seemly uncaring voice knock Rin out of her shock.
“It would appear that we have an unexpected guest with us.”
Rin giggled at the seemly started look on her lord's face he just looked befuddled by just a hair.
“Yes my Lord Sesshomaru it does look that way. I wonder where InuYasha and Kagome are at this moment.”
Just as those words slipped from Rin's lips Jaken suddenly came sliding into the bed chamber.
“Forgive my intrusion mi lord, but your brother said that there was something of importance that he needed to speak to you about.”
Sesshomaru just stared at the heap that was Jaken, his cold orbs then glanced at the door as InuYasha came bursting in.
“Sesshomaru I need your help Takeshi has disa…ppeared.”
InuYasha's words trailed off when he caught the sight of his son in Rin's arms. He then called out to his mate, by picking up her scent and then causing the mark on her neck to pulse.
`It's all right Kagome I found him, he's with Rin and Sesshomaru, so everything is alright now.'
A few minutes later Kagome stood in the doorway, her eyes wide with worry. Yet the moment her eyes were set on Takeshi she seemed to relax. She then ran into the room toward her son.
“Oh Takeshi, you're ok. You had me worried sick.”
Takeshi giggled and cooed as his mother cradled him close to her. InuYasha let out a sigh once he was sure that his son was unharmed. Sesshomaru then decided to break into the happy moment with his cold voice.
“This is the first time one of your pups has done something so surprising?”
Kagome turned her head to look over at Sesshomaru, she was a little surprised by his question.
“Yes, Sera, Inuhiko, and Miran, never did anything like this before.”
Sesshomaru seemed to be giving Kagome's words some thought before answering her.
“It would appear that the demon blood in him has given him capabilities that his sister and brother's do not have.”
InuYasha then happened to mumble something.
“Keh, gee what gave you that idea?”
Sesshomaru smirked as he answered his brother's smart remark.
“Seeing that he is your son it made me wonder just how much of our father's blood would be passed down to your pups, Takeshi continues to impress this Sesshomaru.”
Sesshomaru's words caused InuYasha to growl and place a hand near Tetsusegia's hilt.
“You what to test just how strong I've gotten, then let's go, you and me this is going to end now.”
Sesshomaru smirked as he cracked the knuckles on his right hand as he prepared to attack.
“If you are that willing to die and leave your family, then by all means come little brother and we shall finish it.”
The minute Kagome felt InuYasha and Sesshomaru auras flare, she turned two worried chocolate orbs toward Rin, who was sitting up in the bed, pale faced with sweat beading across her forehead. Her breaths were coming out in short pants as she tried to breath. Seeing the distress that the young woman was in, Kagome turned to yell at InuYasha.
“InuYasha cut it out now.”
“Not a chance Kagome, not until I make Sesshomaru eat his words.”
This only served to tick Kagome off as well, for she understood what Rin was going through right now, she had gone through it three times now however the third hadn't been as bad as the first two.
“INUYASHA! Take it outside NOW! If you don't swear I'll say it. Rin's pregnant and your demon aura is not helping right now. Especially with Sesshomaru's aura being fired up too.”
At the harsh sound in Kagome's voice InuYasha's ears smashed down on the top of his head. He then turned to look at her when he did he caught sight of a distressed Rin.
“Damn it, why didn't you say something sooner Kagome?”
Kagome fumed as she narrowed her eyes at her mate.
“I tried but you shrugged me off. Now take Takeshi and go cool off.”
Her bright chocolate orbs then locked with the cold golden ones of the Lord's. He then took a step toward Rin when Kagome stood her ground.
“You too Sesshomaru, I'll take care of Rin until the two of you can put a lid on your energies.”
Sesshomaru frowned at Kagome before giving off a warning growl that Kagome ignored. He then glanced at Rin and saw how pale she was and how beads of sweat seemed to be gathering on her forehead.
“Very well I shall leave her in your care for now.”
He looked at Rin one last time before taking his leave out of the room.

Kagome walked over to a table and filled a basin with water and then dipped a cloth inside, she then squeezed some of the cool water out of it and then made her way over to Rin. She then gently wiped the sweat away from Rin's brow. Kagome then smiled gently to her as she spoke.
“Ok Rin I need you to breathe for me. Take a deep breath and let it out for me.”
Rin winced as another strange pain rocked her body, but she managed to do as Kagome asked. All of her inside felt as if they were a piece of rubber that was being stretched out of place, at a great force. Kagome came back to Rin's side with a cup as she helped her breath. In between breaths Rin did her best to speak.
“This isn't the first time that this has happened, it happened two days ago with Lord Yayoi and then this poison vapor seemed to come from my body.”
Kagome frowned a little at hearing Rin's words; she then offered her the cup in her hands.
“Here drink this, it will help you relax a little and it will help to settle down the little one that's inside of you.”
Rin graciously took the cup filled with warm chamomile tea, and slowly started to take a sip as Kagome spoke to her in a gentle voice.
“Rin you said this happened when you were in danger from Lord Yayoi?”
Rin gave a light nod as she took another sip of the tea. Kagome then glanced at her abdomen, before she motioned with her hands toward the general area.
“May I Rin?”
Understanding that Kagome wanted to check on the baby, Rin allowed Kagome to do as she wished the tea had already started to help her to relax and the pup had stopped trying to seemly break free. Kagome pulled back the covers and then undid the tie on Rin's night yukata. What greeted the two caused them both to gasp, for from the looks of it Rin was now in her third month, due to the now small rounding bulge in her abdominal area. Rin's voice however was filled with panic as she spoke.
“How is it possible for me to be in my third month, when I was just in my first a few hours ago?”
To answer Rin's question Kagome said five little words.
“InuYasha and Sesshomaru, that's how.”
By the confused looked on Rin's face, Kagome gave a little sigh as she did her best to explain things to Rin. Meanwhile InuYasha found himself doing the same thing with his brother only for a different question and in a different manner.

Sesshomaru glanced at InuYasha as the two of them stood in the recreation room.
“I demand to know, what gives your mate the idea that she can speak to me in such a way. What is the meaning of all this? Explain it to me now InuYasha.”
InuYasha grumbled something under his breath, before he gave a sigh. He then turned to face his brother.
“Rin was in danger from the two of us, so that gave Kagome in her mind reason enough to tell you to leave the room.”
Sesshomaru raised an eyebrow at InuYasha's words. Then after a few minutes understanding seemed to come over him, the energy from their auras must have too much for Rin in her delicate condition. His was slightly softer as well as having the same air of coldness that was common for the Western Lord.
“I see, and the pup will it be all right?”
Wrapping his now sleeping son up in his haori, InuYasha then gently laid him in front of the warm hearth. He then turned to look at Sesshomaru again as he spoke.
“Oh the pup'll be fine, it just might be here a little sooner then expected.”
“What is the meaning to what you say InuYasha?”
Not sure on how to prepare Sesshomaru, InuYasha figured it was best just to come out and say it. He rubbed the back of his head as he did so.
“Well, uh the since the two of us bonded ourselves to our mates. Any pup they have is connected to us too, the bond is even stronger while they're in their mother's womb. Any increase in demon energy, makes the pup believe that they are in danger. So the pup uses the energy it feels to help itself self to grow faster, until it reaches a stage that it feels safe in.”
InuYasha then gave a light embarrassed laugh as he glanced in his brother's direction.
“I know all of this, from personal experience. When Kagome was pregnant with Sera, I let my temper get the better of me, and then Kagome who was in her four month suddenly went into labor. I'll never forget that day, the two of us were scared to death but we got through it and then we had Sera.”
Sesshomaru continued to watch his little brother as he spoke, he would also notice how his eyes would drift down to look at his napping son.
“It was only when Kagome was pregnant with the twins that I realized that Sera had reacted to my aura. I lost my temper with Shippo one day, and then Kagome cried out in pain it was then I saw that her belly had a red glow to it; a month later which would put Kagome in her six month the twins were born.”
The sound of Sesshomaru's cold voice caused InuYasha to stop for a moment.
“How do you truly know that six months isn't really how long a human will carry a pup?”
Sesshomaru then watched to see InuYasha's reaction to what he had said. InuYasha just smirked at his brother as he answered him.
“I only found that out recently, when Kagome was carrying Takeshi. I did a lot better with my temper and in seven months we had Takeshi.”
Sesshomaru only nodded in understanding as he turned to look out the window. So just because of a simple mistake like letting his demon energy flow he would come face to face with his son or daughter sooner then he first thought. His golden orbs glance up at the graying sky; Lord Ringo had said that he and his family would be here in a week. However Sesshomaru knew that if the snows of winter came early the Southern lord will either be held back or he would be early. Snow also meant that InuYasha, Kagome and their youngest would be stuck here as well. Could the fates truly be that cruel to him?

Kagome smiled as she looked down at Rin as she fell asleep again. Once the pup felt like there wasn't any danger it had clamed down. However, Rin had then told Kagome she felt like butterflies were inside of her. Kagome had soon explained to her that the fluttery she was feeling was the pup moving around inside of her, which caused Rin's cinnamon orbs to widen in wonder. However when it happened again, Rin was so excited she had grabbed Kagome's hand to let her feel it as well.
Kagome couldn't help but wonder what Sesshomaru reaction would be to feeling the pup move around inside of Rin. Her chocolate eyes then turned toward the window, she frowned at the gray clouds in the sky. They only meant one things, the first winter snow was on its way. Kagome just couldn't help but wonder about what else was in store them as well as wonder how her other three children were doing.
