InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ Cry ❯ Chapter Two - Inuyasha ( Chapter 3 )

[ Y - Young Adult: Not suitable for readers under 16 ]

Okay, now that you've read my little note, here's the second part of three. Sorry, I thought there was only going to be two but…*sweat drop* this thing was longer than I remember. This is from Inuyasha's POV and I warn you….

CHARACTERS MIGHT BE OOC.

Okay, that covers it I think. A little swearing and a bit of nudity and blood in this. Nothing too gruesome.

DISCLAIMER: I do not own Inuyasha, I do not own Inuyasha, I do not own…*Silvertales keeps chanting*

PS- How do you spell Kagome? Kagome or Kigome? Please someone clear it up for me! And how do you spell Tessiga, Inuyasha's sword?

What the hell was she trying to pull?! I caught her just as her head grazed the ground and turned her over to face me. I slapped her cheek and called her name, but her eyes didn't open.

The smell of blood filled my nose to point of nausea and I searched her for the source of it. Then I saw it. Her right leg was covered in blood caked with dirt from the road. I lifted her skirt shamelessly to find the source of all this blood.

It looked like she had tried to bandage it up with a small piece of cloth, but the blood had forced right through it. When I took it off, my stomach lurched at what I saw.

A huge, purple, bloody scratch stretched from Kigome's hip to her mid thigh. Blood was flowing so freely I was sure that she would die within minutes if I didn't do something. But what could I do?

Questions raged through my mind. When did this happen? What had attacked her? And most importantly, Why didn't she tell me?!

I heard a slight groan and Kigome's head moved slightly in my arms.

"What the hell happened, mor…Kigome?" I refrained from using my normal term for her. I really never mean to be cruel to her, it just…happens.

She smiled slightly, in a delirious dream-like way. "Nothing Inuyasha, just put me up. I'll keep going,"

"What the fuck do you mean, `keep going'!?! Kigome! You're bleeding everywhere!" I tried to keep my voice down but I could feel the growls that were trying to escape my throat. She was bleeding everywhere, I wasn't lying. If my robes hadn't been red already, they would be by now. I was actually, well, worried about her.

She moaned a little and her body fell limp in my arms. I feared for the worst so I picked her up in my arms and ran towards the nearest stream. She was so light! Her arms were frail and I could make a complete ring with my fingers around her ankle! Why was she so bony? Didn't she eat?!

As I ran with Kigome in my arms, I thought back. A stab of guilt ran thru my body as I realized that no, Kigome didn't eat some nights. I either took all the food or we didn't stop to eat. I looked down at her face. It was pulled tight too, like her cheek bones were going to break thru her ashen skin. She was starved. My eyes watered, but it must've been from the wind. I couldn't actually be shedding tears over something so stupid as a human?!

But this was no ordinary human. It was Kigome.

I found a little pool in a shady grotto and I laid her down in the soft grass. Her haggard body flapped around like a rag doll and I felt as though I could snap her in half. She moaned again and tried to open her eyes.

"No Kigome, go to sleep. I'll take care of you," I laid my hand on her eyes, holding them shut until she stopped resisting me. I unbuttoned her blouse and unzipped her skirt. Her under-clothes came off next and I was extra careful with what she calls `panties', so as not to touch the bleeding scar. The bleeding seemed to be slowing, I didn't know if that was a good or bad thing.

I also took off my robes. "I'll wash them later," I muttered throwing my haori aside and gently picking up the bare Kigome. I looked her over in the shaded sunlight that shined thru the trees and I cringed. I could see every rib and her shoulder blades poked far out of her back. Her vertebrae in her spine pushed out of her back and pressed against my arms painfully.

Her skin was on fire but she shivered in my arms as I carried her to the clear water in the pool. I walked straight into the pool with her still in my arms. The water around us was tinted red with her blood as I gently rubbed her legs clean. I washed her face and neck and tried to refrain from touching her breasts at all but…it happed once or twice.

She leaned heavily against me as I cleaned her off. I gently lowered her head into the cold water and her body gave another shudder as I doused her head with water, rinsing the dirt and grime out of her long, straight black hair. I gently washed her face, which was stained with dirt streaks and sweat trails, or maybe those were tears?

As I ran my hands over her, I took in her beauty. Her skin, pale white and smooth, was soft and her face, even though it was pulled tight with hunger, was…angelic. She moaned slightly as I brushed her cheek and she turned away from my touch.

"Don't hurt me Inuyasha. Please, don't anymore." The words were muttered and almost inaudible but they were as loud as war drums in my ears. I did hurt her. I scratched her and hit her, almost every night. I took her food and water and in effect, whittled her down to half a human being. The worst though, was that I was cruel. I was harsh. I called her obscene things, but Kigome was strong. She could stand to be starved, beaten even, but…her heart was a completely different matter. It wasn't as strong as her body.

My eyes watered again and this time, I knew it wasn't the wind. I was crying. Crying over Kigome. I was heartless, I knew that but, why did I have to be so cruel to her? She never did anything to me…

I ran my hands over her feeble body once more and picked her up gently, her wet, inky black hair flowing over my arms like a waterfall. That was another thing I never noticed about Kigome. Her hair was so long it could have reached her thighs if she was standing. And it was lustrous. It shone like a million diamonds. I had never seen it like that, maybe that was because she never washed it. Another one of my transgressions. I had yelled at her once for taking too long to bathe. So, she stopped washing her hair every time she bathed.

The tears were threatening to come back and I blinked hard to wash them away.

I gently laid Kigome on the bank of the pool and licked the wound on her thigh. It had a sour taste to it, like poison. What could have caused this? I sighed with relief as the laceration started to close itself up. (My saliva has healing powers if you're wondering, one of the advantages to being a dog half-demon).

She groaned and winced in pain as the cut healed itself, her skin pulling tight and causing discomfort. I touched her thigh where the cut had been and she cried out in agony. I then rubbed her arms and neck and she still complained. She repeated her plea for me not to hurt her.

"Kigome, I won't. I won't anymore, I promise you. Please, I have to touch you to help you."

She answered by curling up in a ball, her body racking with tremors. She was cold, but seeing as her clothes and my robes were wet, I couldn't give her anything to keep warm with expect…

I sighed. I really didn't wanna do this. I picked up Kigome's shivering body and walked up into a sunny patch in the grotto. I laid down and pulled her near to me, my own body warming hers.

She seemed to want to voice a complaint against my touching her but I put my fingers on her lips and shushed her.

"Kigome, I'm trying to help you. Shh," and even though she was asleep, she seemed to understand and she came up into my chest. I wrapped my arms around her, trying not to squeeze her too hard. I felt as though I could break her at any minute. I pushed my nose into her clean hair and inhaled deeply.

I tried not to think about how good her naked body felt against mine or the fact that she was in heat, the soft, musky smell coming off her flesh. I really tried but…I couldn't help myself. I planted one soft kiss on her pale, ash colored cheek before I drifted off to sleep.
