DISCLAIMER: I DON'T OWN INUYAHSA OR ANY OTHER CHARACTER FROM THE SERIES. WITH THAT IN MIND, ENJOY THE STORY.

A/N: Thanks for all the reviews. For those who hate the pairing, I'm sorry. I wanted to see how the pairing would work out. In my opinion, I like it. But don't worry Inu/Kag fans; I'm working on that pairing story. But I have to finish this one first. So reluctantly enjoy!

Dancing in the moonlight
Chapter 5
Catfight.
Nekomew.

The mere rush of blood that pulsed inside of Sango was enough to almost make her pass out. Inuyasha was going so fast, that Sango was sure that she might slip out. She had no idea where he was taking her, but frankly, she didn't care… `As long as were together' she thought. She kept her eyes closed as the Hanyou jumped from tree branch to tree branch, feeling safe in his arms.

She didn't notice Kikyo was right on their trail. But Inuyahsa knew.

`What's she doing here? Why is she following me?' he thought in vein. He knew the answer. Kikyo was possessive, and by the looks of it, she wanted him to go into hell with her.

`Fat chance' thought Inuyasha, and he kept going, trying to keep Sango from seeing the dead priestess.

But Kikyo was dead on his trail, going almost as fast as the Hanyou. Inuyahsa was so close to his destination, he couldn't stop just yet. But then he felt it… An arrow cutting into his skin. He fell, but not before dropping Sango on the soft, wet grass below.

She hit the ground, letting off a soft `oh, Inuyasha's tenseigua fell next to her
'. She gave the clearing a once over `this must be the spot Inuyasha wanted to take me too' she stopped the thought as a blush appeared on her face.

She began to look for her lover “Inuyasha? Where are you?” Her eyes searched the sky and she let out a startled gasp “Kikyo!”

The Deceased priestess was levitating in the air, with the Hanyou in her arms. A wicked smile was plastered on her pale face. “Sorry, Lady Sango. The Hanyou Inuyasha belongs to me!” And with a sweeping motion, dark clouds formed over Kikyo and her captive, making them disappear.

Pain and anger spiraled inside of Sango. She lifted both of her hands to her lips and called out her pets name “KIRARA!”

In no time at all, the cat-demon sat before her in giant form. Sango threw on her armor and grabbed the hanyou's sword. “Follow Kikyo,” she ordered, jumping on the back of Kirara. The Demon let out a devastating roar and took off.

Kikyo and Inuyasha were standing on a secluded island. Sango was surprised to find them at all. She wasn't sure she could succeed in saving the one she loved, but she was damn sure ready to try. In a swift motion, she landed Kirara on a bed of mossy rocks. She hopped off and advanced, disturbed to find Inuyasha tied to a birch cross-style.

“Kikyo…give him back,” She hissed.

Kikyo laughed, “Or what? Do you dare to challenge me?”

Sango withdrew her lover's tenseigua and nodded. Kikyo bowed “A lady doesn't attack first” she stated coldly.

Sango returned the bow “After you, then”

Kikyo's eyes shot open, glowing a deep crimson. In an unearthly voice she cried “WHAT MAKES YOU THINK YOU CAN WIELD THE TENSEIGUA, HUMAN?”

Sango uttered one simple word “Love”

The dead priestess attacked, coming after Sango with wild swipes of dark magic. Sango did her best to deflect every one with the untransformed sword. She tried to look around her surroundings to find something that would stall Kikyo long enough for a short-range attack. Then it hit her.

“KIRARA ATTACK!” Sango cried out. The cat-demon, fully transformed, went strait for the Priestess, aiming at her throat. Kikyo was knocked to the ground. Now was as good of time as ever to strike.

And with a swift motion, Sango brought down the tenseigua, cutting Kikyo in half. Both halves turned to ash and were swept up in the wind.

Sango ran to her beloved, cutting him down from the tree.

“Inuyasha…are you alright?” She whispered, motioning Kirara to come forward.

“Keh” was Inuyasha's response.

“That's good enough for me,” she said, picking up the Hanyou and dragging him on Kirara. She softly petted the giant cat-demon. “Back to camp, Kirara, Everyone might want to know what's going on”

Kirara let out a loud roar and took off to the campsite.

END CHAPTER: I do like how this story is coming along. If you like this story, then don't worry because there are a couple more chapters. If you don't because of the pairing, then keep in mind that I'm doing one with Inu/Kag so don't worry. I hope the last chapters would be longer!
