Chapter 3: Kagome's Question And Inuyasha's Answer

Inuyasha was still in thought. After hearing what Kagome said, that was all he could think about.

'If she asked me, would I go?'

'Of course you would, you want to be with her, to be able to have her in your arms.'

'Who are you?'

'I am you.'

'WHAT? How in hell can you be me?'

'I am your heart, the voice in which you let your emotions out.'

'Would I really go with her to the dance if she asked me?'

'Are you that stupid?! I mean come on, you know you would, you love
her!'

'I Love...Kagome?'

'Of course, are you that dumb.'

'But...'

'And you know Kagome loves you, why else would she want to take you, a guy who is total ass, and a jerk, and...'

'OK!, OK!, I get your point, ok?'

'So, if she asks you, what will you say?'

'I...will say...YES!'

'Good Boy.'

'Shut up!'

Inuyasha soon caught Kagome's scent, with a mix of jasmine, and strawberries. He always loved the way Kagome smelled, but he would never admit it.

"So, are you going to talk to him?"

"Well, the dance is 2 days, so...I guess so."

"Good...I think it's best to talk to him tonight."

"Yeah..tonight."

Kagome was very afraid, yet happy for at least having the will to confront a fear. While walking back to the camp, she was planning what to say. It was close to sunset, and she had to hurry to make dinner, and find the words to talk to Inuyasha.

"Kagome...why did you take long in the hot spring?" said Shippou.

"I'm sorry, Shippou, but I had to speak to Sango."

"Oh, ok. Kagome, I'm hungery."

"I know, but you know what, you are starting to become like Inuyasha, always hungery."

"WHAT?" shouted Inuyasha.

"I was only joking...come on, the ramen will be done soon."

After boiling the water, and the ramen was set, Inuyasha chow down as if he didn't eat in years. The same went for Shippou.

'Now, I know Shippou is becoming like Inuyasha, he's eating like a
pig!'

It was late, and everyone was getting ready for bed. Sango was already asleep, and so was Miroku. Shippou slept next to Kirara, while Kagome stood up, and so did Inuyasha.
Kagome got up from her sleeping bag, as soon as everyone was asleep. She walked towards the tree in which Inuyasha was sitting on.

"Inyasha, may you please come down?"

"For what?"

"I need to speak to you. I'll be by the hot spring."

Inuyasha watched Kagome walking to the direction to the hot spring.

'Is she going to ask me to the dance?'

'Yes, stupid, now...GO!'

Inuyasha ran quickly to the hot spring, because he didn't want anything happening to Kagome. Once he got there, he saw her, sitting by a rock, and looking at the water.

'She looks beautiful by the moonlight.'

'God, please let him say yes.'

"You wanted to speak to me?"

"oh, umm...yes."

'Please...PLEASE'

"What's the matter, Kagome?"

"Well...how can I start this? Well...you see...remember when I told you about the dance in my era?"

"Yeah...what about it?"

"Well...I was hoping if you would..."

"Yes."

"...Huh?"

"Yes...Kagome, I'll go with you to the dance."

"What?"

"I said...yes."

"How...did you....*gasp*....did you spy on me and Sango during the time we were in the hot spring?"

"..." *sweatdrop*

"Inuyasha..."

Inuyasha closed his eyes, expecting the sit's from Kagome.

'Huh?'

Inuyasha opened his eyes, to see 2 beautiful brown staring back at him.

"Inuyasha..."

"Yes?" Inuyasha said nervously

"SIT!"

Inuyasha hit the ground, having his mouth full of dirt.

"Why, I should say the "s" word until your back breaks!!!"

Still on the ground, Inuyasha manages to say some words,

"I'm...sor...mhp."

"What did you say?"

The spell finally weared off, and Inuyasha got up.

"I said, I'm sorry."

"Whoa, do you have a fever?" Kagome checked his forehead.

"Kagome...I'm serious, I'm sorry."

"Now, I know you are sick."

"Kagome..."

"Ok, I'm sorry. So you said..."

"Yes, I want to go to the dance with you."

"Oh, Inuyasha, thank you."

Kagome jumped to him, and hugged him. Before parting from her hug, she gave him a kiss on the cheek, causing Inuyasha to blush 5 shades.

"Tomorrow, you have to come with me, to buy clothes for the dance, for you.. and for me. Kagome said, giving him a sly grind.

"Ok..."

"We should head back to camp, it's late, and I have to go back to my era in the morning."

"Come jump on my back, the sooner you get to bed, you'll be more
rested."

Kagome jumped on Inuyasha's back, and he jump to the direction in where the camp is.

"Good night, Inuyasha"

"Good night, Kagome"
