"What,what is it Inuyasha?"Kagome asked,wondering what was so important they had to talk in private,just the two of them.
"Why do you want to go with him?You always wanted to stay with us,with me."Inuyasha said,as Kagome noticed a hint of sadness in his eyes.'Did I hear him right?With me,ya,that's what he said...'
"Aren't you with Kikyou now?"she replied,trying not to look him in the eyes.
"Ya,but..."his voice trailled off,he knew she was right,he just didn't want to admit it."Don't go,stay,you don't want to be with him."
"And how would you know that?"she shot back,a little surprised at how angry she sounded"Your heart is with Kikyou,not me.I'm free to go out with anyone I want."
Inuyasha wasn't exactly sure what 'going out' meant,but assumed it meant mating,or something in that area.
"Fine!Go ahead,leave us,go!"he shot back.
"Inuyasha...."tears swelled up in her eyes,she could feel them,she tried to hold them back,but failed hopelessly.
She ran away from him,towards Kouga,towards a new begining.
"I knew you'd come."Kouga smirked,"wait a minute,your crying,what did he say to you?That ass!He made you cry.I'll kill him..."he looked around,but Inuyasha was no where to be found.'That chicken,oh well,that just means she's over him,and I can have her all to myself ' he looked down at her."Come on,lets go." he held on to her,and a huge wind wrapped around them and they were off.
~~~~~~Inuyasha's Perspective~~~~~~~~~
Tears rolled up in her eyes,and she ran away,towards his enemy.
"Kagome..."he whispered,so low that only his own ears could hear.'Why do I care so much?She's myshard eeker,and that's it,right?Well she wanted to go with him anyways,so it's her fault'.He jumped on a branch in the nearest tree,he didn't want to face everyone else,he just wanted to be alone with his thoughts.

Miroku,Sango,and Shippo had been waiting for quite a while so far,but there was still no sign of either Kagome or Inuyasha.Miroku was the first to break the silence..
"Maybe we should look for Inuyasha,he hasn't come back yet,maybe he got into some trouble with a demon."
"Maybe..."Sango thought aloud,but they all knew he was really just thinking.
So they began looking for him,they knew it would take a while,because Inuyasha could hide anywhere if he wanted to.So they started talking.
"I wish he would just admit he likes her, instead of just leaving her hanging."Sango said.
"I agree,he needs to decide whom it is he wants.He needed to repay Kikyou,it's true,but Kagome is the one he loves,and whom he should be with,hasn't Kikyou gotten thanks enough when she tried to hurt him,and he forgave her dozens of times?"he agreed,inching his hands closer to Sango's ass.
"Dont you ever start talking about me again,I'm warning you."Inuyasha said from up above a tree beside the rest of the group."Especially when you know I have acute hearing."he said,pointing to his dog-like ears.Suddenly,he began sniffing the air,a look of worry went across his face.
"What is it?"Sango asked,noticing the look on his face.
"Kagome..."he said as he began jumping from tree to tree towards her scent,"she's in trouble."
Sango,Miroku,and Shippo followed on the now very large Kirara.It was hard to catch up to him though,they had never seen him go this fast.After a few minutes of running(or in Sango,Shippo,and Miroku's case,riding)they heard a familiar loud scream.
"Kagome!"they all yelled in unisin.
They ran towards the sound,only to see that Kagome in the arms of an ugly bird demon.
"Kagome!"Inuyasha yelled as he pulled out the tetsusaiga,and hit the youkia with one simple blow,but not before he squeezed Kagome out of conciencness(I'm not sure how you spell it,but it means that she like kinda fainted,but in a more serious way).Inuyasha hit him again,but killed him this time.His body dissapeared to ashes in a pile and a shikon shard landed on top.He left it to run to Kagome,who still hadn't come to yet.She had bruises all over her.They were all around her now,praying that she just fainted,and would come back to them.Their prayers were answered,and she slowly opened her eyes,looking up to see Inuyasha holding her.
"Inuyasha,what happened?Where's Kouga,that jerk."She said weakly
"Kagome..."a little smirk appeared on his face.She was back,"I told you not to go with him,you should listen to me more often,wench."
"You mean your not mad?"she sked meekly.
"Mad?Why?Why would I be mad?"he asked confused.
"Because I left with him"she replied.
"Feh,dont be stupid.Now tell us what happened"
"Ya,why is Kouga gone?And where did this Youkia come from?"asked Shippo.
"Well,we were having a good time,I guess,but I wanted to get back,he was mad,but agreed.We were looking for you guys,but were stopped by a that youkia that grabbed me,the last thing I remember,is them retrieving,and you guys appearing,then I guess I got knocked out cold"she answered,ashamed she ever trusted Kouga.After saying that,she noticed how Inuyasha was holding her in his lap,and she started thinking.
"Uh guys,could you leave us for a sec,I kinda wanted to talk to Inuyasha in private.Arigato."she asked,looking towards the others.
"Sure" Sango agreed,draging Miroku and Shippo along with her.After they were out of sight,she looked towards Inuyasha,who was still holding her,as if afraid to let her go.
"Inuyasha...what are you feelings towards me?"she asked shyly.
"Huh,I..I..I...uh...umm..."he was obviously very nervous.He had been hoping this question would never come.
"Let me put it this way,who are you going to be with,me,or Kikyou?"she asked.
"I,I,I..."Inuyasha stammered,but was inturrupted by rustling in the bushes beside them,followed by a loud slap.They listened closely and noticed it was a familiar voice.
"Get your hands off of me!"
"Shhh!They'll hear us!"
"Too late"
It was Sango,Miroku,and Shippo.They had been eavse-dropping on them,but they obviously got caught.
"We were...uh...looking for my staff"Miroku volenteered.
"Your holding it."a very peeved Kagome said.
"Ah,well there it is,we'll be going now"Sango said,pushing everyone away.
"Well talk later Inuyasha"Kagome said,disappointed that Inuyasha couldn't finish off what he was about to say,she wanted to get it over with.
That night,everyone was sleeping in the village hut,except for Inuyasha of course,he stayed up in a tree.Kagome couldn't sleep,so she decided to find Inuyasha,and finish where they left off,at least this time,she was sure they wouldn't be interrupted.She bagan walking towards Inuyasha's usual tree.As she neared the tree,Inuyasha spoke to her.
"Why are you up so late?"he asked caringly.
"I..well.."she stammered.
"You want me to finish what I was saying,right?"he said while jump off the tree and landing in front of her.
"Yeah"
"Well,the truth is...I've been thinking about it for a while,and I noticed how scared I was when you fainted.I was afraid I would never hear your beautiful voice again,and well,what I'm trying to say is,well,I want to be with you,and only you,and not Kikyou.."
After hearing this,she looked up at him,and saw the modesty in his eyes,she ran up closer to him,and hugged him.He bent down,and gave her a gentle kiss on the lips.
He kissed her so gently,as if he was afraid to scare her away.They were together now,hopefully now and forever.
He broke from the kiss,and looked at her,and she looked at him,their gaze was broke as an arrow flew between them,they both looked at the direction it came from,only to be horrified to see who shot it.Kikyou.
