DISCLAIMER:I do not own Inuyasha,or any of the characters(unfourtunetly),but I do,of course,own this story.
This is my first fanfic,so please be nice,and try not to flame.

"Mom,I'm home!"Kagome screamed.
"Oh,hello dear."her mother said calmly,"how was your search?"
"It was okay,we're really close to finishing,I can tell"she smiled.
"Good,I was wondering when you'd finish,you need to concentrate on school work."
"That's why I came,to study."
"Good,so go to your room,and start."
Kagome nodded her head,and started upstairs.Once she got in her room,she took out her books,opened them up,and studied until her eyes fell out(not litterally of course!).After a few hours,she decided to give herself a break,and turned on the radio.Her favourite song,"Going under"'(by Evanesence)came on,and she started to move and sing to it.When the song ended,she was horrified to hear clapping.She turned around,expecting to see Souta,but was mortified to see that in was Inuyasha!
"You dropped a shard."he said,trying to hold back the laughter.
Kagome's face turned 5 shades of red,maybe even a little purple.After a few seconds of being embarrassed,she fumed,and started screaming.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?!"she screamed in his ear.
"I told you,you forgot a shard you stupid wrench"
She casually strode towards him,and put her mouth right next to one of his very sensitive dog ears.He knew what was coming.
"No,no,dont!"he pleaded
"Sit sit sit sit SIT!!!!"
*thump*Inuyasha was face down on her bedroom floor.
"Kagome,"her mother said as she entered her room,"you friend Inuyasha's here, he said you forgo-Oh dear!I guess you already know."she chuckled as she looked at the now face down Inuyasha."Never mind."and she left the room.
"I'm in a good mood,so I'm letting you go off with a warning."she said as she went back to her studying,"now leave the shards here,and go back to the feudal era."
"Keh,fine."Inuyasha mumbled as he dropped the piece into the little jar with the other pieces.The Shikon now was over half way finished,but there was still quite a bit to be found.He started down the stairs,and out the door.
"Wait!"Kagome called
"What now?"he replied
"I'm coming with you,I've studied enough,and i know the stuff like the back of my hand."she smiled proudly.
"Huh?"
"Never mind..."
After one of Inuyasha's famous 'feh's,Kagome explained to her mother that she was going back because she had studied enough,and they were off..Once they
got back,they were greeted by the others.
"Back so soon?"asked Miroku.
"Did you bring me anything?"Shippo asked excitedly
"Sorry,no,I was in a hurry,next time,I promise"Kagome replied apologeticly.
After a bit of chit chat,they began walking towards the village,but were stopped by a familar tornado-like wind storm.It was,of course,Kouga.
"My beautiful Kagome,what a coincidense meeting you here!"he cooly said,kissing her hand(making Inuyasha growl).Though it was obviously no coincidence.
"Oh hey Kouga!"she replied cheerfully.
"I have a proposition for you,how about you come with me and I show you around our world,I'll take you farther than this puppy every has,"he said,pointing to Inuyasha.This set Inuyasha off,he began growling louder,and was about to pull out the tetsusaiga,but Kagome stopped him.
"That sounds cool,as long as we only take a few hours,and I dont have to give,or help you find,shards."she replied.This shocked,and displeased Inuyasha.
"What!Your not actually thinking of going with him are you?"Sango said.
"No problem,having you with me is all I want."Kouga answered,giving Inuyasha a face that said'haha-she-likes-me-more',"even if it's only for a few hours"
"In that case...."Kagome said.
"No Kagome."Inuyasha said."Your not going"
"Excuse me?You do not own me.It doesn't matter,we have no rumours to go on,and I always wanted to explore further in the feudal era."
Inuyasha was absolutley fumed,which surprised Kagome.'Why does he care if I go with Kouga or not,I mean,I know they're not the closest friends in the world,butthis is crazy!'.
"Come with me for a second,I want to talk to you."Inuyasha said,grabbing her arm,and bringing her far enough away so no one could see or hear them."We have to talk."

I apologize for the lack of excitement in this chapter,but I can have everything happen all at once now can I?
