Chapter 4
 
 
Rock and Dirt and Something Else
 
 
 
            They walked into the darkness of the cave once they have secured the safety guide line. They walk in a single line as follow; Sesshomaru, Koga, Sango, Kikyo, Rin, Kagome, Miroku, and Inu Yasha. All of them looked around the cave. Koga and Kagome keep looking down for footprints and anything else that might show that they weren't alone last night. But they found nothing.
 
          & nbsp; The cave leads the team through twists and turns. They must have walked about 50 minutes when the cave started to narrow.  It was big enough for only one person to craw through sideways. It seems like it only lasted about 5 minutes when it started opening up some more.
 
            Sesshomaru use the sonar gun to see what was ahead of them.
 
          & nbsp; “It looks like there is a chamber up ahead.” said Sesshomaru.
 
          & nbsp; Kikyo was gathering rocks and dirt into the test tube so she could look more into it when she gets back to her lab. She just walks couple of feet when she notices something strange.
 
          & nbsp; “Hold on. I think I found something.” said Kikyo.
 
          & nbsp; They gather around her looking at what she was seeing. What they found was disturbing.  What they found appear to be scratch marks. Also, there was something dark that looked like at one point it was wet and run down from the scratch marks. But it's dry now.
 
            “What kind of scratch mark is that? It looks like…I have a bad feeling about this.” said Rin.
 
          & nbsp; “It could be a bear.” said Inu Yasha.
 
          & nbsp; “I don't think so.” said Kikyo as she raises her hand over it but not touching it. It was same size has her hand. “I believe its humans.”
 
          & nbsp; “Well, if that's true we are not the first ones to be in this cave.” replied Sango.
 
          & nbsp; Kikyo was looking at the marks closely and then she pulls her science kit back out and gathered some more samples. She asked Rin to take pictures when she grabbed a ruler out so she could get the measurements from it.
 
          & nbsp; Everyone look around for any more findings. Miroku found the same scratch mark the opposite's side from where they found the first marks.
 
          & nbsp; “There's more here also. It looks like someone was trying to get out but was pulled back into the tunnel. I wonder…Oh My God! Is that what I think it is?” said Miroku.
 
          & nbsp; Kikyo and Rin turn around and see what appeals to be a fingernail among the scratches. Kikyo pull out her twisters and grab the nail.
 
          & nbsp; “It's human nail. Someone was trying to get out but was pulled back.” said Kikyo.
 
          & nbsp; “Let's get out of here. This place really gives me the creeps!” said Rin.
 
          & nbsp; “Don't get cold feet now. They appear to the old. Looks like to be made years before any of us was even born. I say we keep going. Sesshomaru said there is a chamber a little way up. Right?” said Inu Yasha.
 
          & nbsp; “Yes. It appears pretty big in the sonar gun. We will go to the camber at lest. It looks like its just 8 feet ahead.” replied Sesshomaru.
 
          & nbsp; Kagome and Kouga look at each other. Either of them said anything. But they knew both of them were thinking the same thing. They weren't alone last night. So someone or something could be in here. But they looked at each other seeing if it would be ok to say something.
 
          & nbsp; “I…I think we really need to be on guard just in case there is something in here.” said Kagome.
 
          & nbsp; “Don't tell me you are getting scared also?” said Inu Yasha..
 
          & nbsp; “I agree with her.” said Kouga with a stern look on his face when he and Inu Yasha lock eyes.
 
          & nbsp; “And why you said that?” replied Inu Yasha.
 
          & nbsp; Kouga and Kagome looked at each other again. This time Kagome nod her head at Koga. He understood that she is saying to tell them the truth. Let the cat out of the bag.
 
          & nbsp; “Because we were in here last night and we heard something.”
 
          & nbsp; “We?! You mean you and Kagome? What were you two doing last night?” said Inu Yasha as his temper was rising. Even though he is with Kikyo now. But he still has some feelings for her. He doesn't like the idea that her and Kouga could be together physical.
 
          & nbsp; “Why should you care, pea brain? She's not your woman anymore. Remember?!”
 
          & nbsp; “That's enough!” Sesshomaru yelled at the two men. “Everyone be on guard. I don't want any fighting! Remember safety first. There could be some animals in here. We don't know. That's what we do right? To explore uncharted caves and document the findings.. We'll move on.”
 
          & nbsp; Sesshomaru once again lead them deeper into the cave. But he pull out is ice axe if he needs to defend himself and everyone else. Rin take out her video recorder. Everybody was on guard.
 
          & nbsp; They have reached the chamber. It was huge in there was rock engrossing.  It was a pretty cave in cave sanders and yet it's a bet creepy. Rin keep recording trying to get every inch of the chamber. They notice there were three different tunnels.
 
          & nbsp; “So which one should we go into?” Sango asked.
 
          & nbsp; “We should take the tunnel to the left of where we just came from.” said Kouga.
 
          & nbsp; All of them looked down to where the guiding cored that follows them so if they ever gotten lost they could just follow the cored. They continue to the tunnel that was to the left from where they just explored.
 
This time Rin wanted to be right behind Sesshomaru and keep recording. She feels scared. She wanted to be close to him because she knows he will protect her and everybody else.
 
This tunnel was a lot shorter than the entrance one. Before they knew it they we in another chamber. But this one was smaller then the first one.
 
Rin was scanning the chamber but when she reached to the corner of the chambers she saw something that really scared her. But when she looks up to the spot she didn't see the same thing that she saw through her recorder. She looked again. She saw a figure kneeling on the ground over another body that was lying on the ground. The figure was eating the insides from the body. It didn't pay any attention to her until she called out to others to come and see this. Sesshomaru was right next to her and he looked into the recorder screen.
 
“What the FUCK?!” Sesshomaru screamed, unsure of the image he was seeing.
 
The figure looked up and gazed at Rin and Sesshomaru. The eye looked dead but light reflected back at them. Then it's bloody mouth open unearthly wide. It sounds like a soft moan that Kagome and Koga heard last night.
 
“That's the same sound we heard last night!” said Kagome.
 
For everyone else didn't reach in time to where Sesshomaru and Rin were staring with horror writing all over their faces. They have no clue of the horror that was about to wake up from the depths of the cave.
 
 
 
A/N  MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA I know I am being mean and cutting this chapter right when its starting to get good. Or should I say evil. MUAHAHAHA I'm sorry to say I do have what I want to put into this story but I just have a hard time just sit my ass down and type it out. I have been working on my other story “The Child that Falls from the Sky”. That's why it takes me so long to update this one. I am sorry for that ya'll.
