Chapter 5

 

 

Run!

 

 

In the very heart of the cave there was an evil dark soul standing in the middle of the chamber of pain. He heard the soft moan from one of the other souls. The warning systems letting him know there is…fresh blood. His long black hair frames his pale face. He grins to himself.

 

“It's been too long since we had company.”

 

Then he summoned other souls to go after them.

(Resume from where we left off)

 

Horror and fear was written all over Rin and Sesshomaru face as they stare at the recorders screen.  Everyone else just turn in time to look at them; still confused about what was going on and what was that noise that they were hearing. Kagome and Kouga recognized that sound from last night.

 

“That's the same sound that we heard last night!” said Kagome.

 

“What's going on?!” said Sango.

 

The ghostly soul that Rin and Sesshomaru were staring at just finished making the loud moan. Then before they knew it disappears. But they know that it is far from over.

 

“We need to get the hell out of here!” yelled Sesshomaru when the shock wore off and fear began taking hold of his body.

 

“Why? What happened?” said Inu Yasha.

 

Miroku was looking around them tying to see what they saw. Try to figure out what happen to Rin and Sesshomaru. It was like one moment they were ok, then just less than a second they are different. He turns his head to the left but in a flash he saw a ghostly white face with blood stain lips and eyes that looks like its dead. Before he could react it grabbed him then he was drag across the floor screaming.

 

“MIROKU!!!!” Sango screamed as she ran after her lover.

 

His screams bounce off the walls as the trail of blood left behind. Sango and the rest of team follow her as she runs after Miroku. He was dragged until it came to the side of the wall. As Sango grabs his hands trying to pull him back to her.

 

“MIROKU!” Sango keeps screaming his name

 

“SANGO! HELP!! AHHHHH!” said Miroku as the pain was too much to bear.

 

Miroku then went up on the wall to a spot where there was a very small pointing edges crack opening in the cave wall. It was too small for a person to fit through it. But it didn't stop the souls to pull him in. Only Miroku's torso was hanging from the crack opening and Sango still trying to pull him out of it. Then Inu Yasha and Koga joining her trying to pull him back. But he keeps inching into the opening as the pointing edges kept tearing the flesh from his body. Miroku slip from their grasps as he was pullrd into the small opening. The only parts of Miroku that was left was the ripped away flesh and blood. Blood splatters were all over Sango, Inu Yasha, and Kouga.

 

In that moment; all of the screams, all of the yelling was gone. Just as fast it was gone. Sango stared at the opening, praying that this was just a dream. That he would come back to her arms. But it never happened.

 

Inu Yasha wrapped his arms around her pulling her back so they could try to get out of here.

 

“What the hell was that?!” said Kikyo as she was still shock of the event that just happen.

 

“Get out of here! Follow the guide cords back to the exit! HURRY before it comes back!” yelling Sesshomaru as he try to save rest of his team.

 

They run back to the tunnel that they came from. When they returned to the big chamber they froze. Sesshomaru was the last one to enter to the chamber.

 

“Why are you standing around? We need to get out!” said Sesshomaru.

 

“Someone move the guide cords. See.” said Kikyo at she point her flashlight to the cords that were laying on the ground. But instead each of the cords were together and leading to a different tunnel.

 

“How could that be?!” said Kagome.

 

“Is it just me or are there more tunnels than before. Weren't there only three tunnels the last times we were in here?” said Koga.

 

“Yes there were. So it must mean this isn't the same chamber.” said Kikyo.

 

Sango just leaned against the side of the wall then slid down and lays her head on her knees as she cries of her lost love. And now she was losing hope that they will ever see the sunlight ever again.

 

“We all are going to die.” said Sango in a low tone of voice.

 

“No we won't! We will get out of here! Don't think like that, Sango.” said Kagome as she tries to give her friend hope.

 

Kikyo walked to each of the entrance of the tunnel. Feeling for an air drafts from them trying to find a way out. As she approach to the fourth tunnel the floor gave away and she fell through it.

 

“KIKYO!!!” yelled Inu Yasha and Kagome as they ran to the spot on the floor where Kikyo fell from.

 

“KIKYOOOOO!!!” they yelled again. But they only heard their own voice echo back at them.

 

They used the flashlight and throw over some glow sticks into the hole. They could see Kikyo lying on the ground just 25 feet below. Inu Yasha pull out a pulley from his backpack and start harness himself down into the whole trying to save his girlfriend. Once he made to the ground below safely. Kagome follow in after him. She could tell that Kikyo need some medical attention.

 

Inu Yasha hold Kikyo into his arms calling her name. She slowly opens her eyes and looked at Inu Yasha. Kagome was examining her. She saw bone piercing through the skin in her right leg. She tries her best to wrap up her leg fast as she could.

 

“Don't put any weight on this leg, Sister.” said Kagome. As tears was trying to find their way into her eyes.

 

“I will carry her.” said Inu Yasha as he try to attach the harness around her so she could be lifted back up through the hole that they came from.

 

Rin use the recorder to see down in the hole where 3 of her friends where. She saw some of the spirits slowly coming towards them.

 

“Hurry! I see them! They're coming!” said Rin as she yelled down into the hole.

 

But she was too late to save them. Kikyo was pulled away from Inu Yasha grasp. He ran after her and yelling at Kagome to go up on the rope. She didn't want to run away. She wanted to run after them. But Koga was yelling at her to come back to him.

 

She grabs the rope and Koga, Sesshomaru, and Rin pull her up through the hole. When she was close enough for Koga grab her hand he pulls her into his arms.

 

Kagome's face was white as a ghost. She too was starting to lose hope. Her friends were like family to her. All of them were dropping like flies. She thinks to herself if Sango was right. Will they ever see sunlight ever again? Why is this happening? Who else is she going to lose? Will Inu Yasha find a way to save Kikyo and find a way out? Please let this be just a bad nightmare that she will wake up from soon. When she pinches herself she realizes this is real. This isn't a dream.

 

 

A/N Sorry I wrote this in a hurry. I know there are those who are waiting for this chapter and more to come. Miroku is dead. Is Inu Yasha and Kikyo dead? Who was that man in the beginning? I will tell you in next two chapters.
