Resistance leads to death

Kagome drew her next arrow and aimed at inuyasha. The tetsuiga had already been pushed back and was in its original form.

“kill him now kagome, kill inuyasha,” narraku commanded.

“noooooooo stop this madness,” kagome struggled.

“inuyasha!” miroku said “look at kagome! She is sure acting strange!”

Kagome was indeed acting strange. She was quivering with her bow and arrow and her aim was constantly changing.

“if she doesn't listen to me inuyasha, I will kill her,” laughed narraku.

“looks like she's resisting narraku,” sango whispered to miroku as she fought off kohaku.

“narraku is sure to kill kagome at this rate,” miroku replied as he stopped kohaku with his staff.

Narraku, who was loosing his patience with Kagome, told kohaku to kill her.

Kohaku raised his weapon and was going to strike it at kagome when she suddenly turned around and pointed her arrow at kohaku. Her eyes were flashing from normal to blank to normal and etc. kohaku stopped in his tracks and stood like a statue his weapon raised.

“don't worry sango,” miroku said, “she's not going to kill kohaku.”

“I know but I just can't help worrying,” sango said.

Nobody noticed that behind kagome, akura closed in and held kagome tightly.

Inuyasha came and tried to kill akura but she moved just in time. Narraku cackled from above clearly enjoying the show. Akura took a sacred jewel shard from her kimono, it was glowing black. She stuck it in kagome. Kagome fainted.

“No! Kagome almost succeeded!” inuyasha gasped.

“HEHEHEH!” narraku cackled with glee. He cackled too early.

“look! The jewel shard inside kagome is purifying!” miroku gasped.

Kagome's eyes turned normal and narraku instructed kohaku to kill her. Sango came in and winded kohaku. Narraku summoned Kanna and Kagura beside him. He created a strong barrier but kagome and inuyasha turned towards him and they broke it with the red tetsuiga and the sacred arrow. Inuyasha performed the wind scar and kagome shot a sacred arrow at narraku. They both stared into the light, had they done it at last? They had narraku had vanished. The only people left standing were akura and kohaku. Inuyasha killed akura easily with the help of kagome, and sango went to kohaku.

They started slowly towards him. Was he freed of narraku at last?
