Here is Chapter Two of Demon Games! ^^

Shigo sat up in her bed and stretched her arms. She had had a very good sleep and was excited. Today was her birthday; today was the day she got to pick who she married. Shigo just hoped he wanted to marry her.

She got out of her bed and dragged her feet over to her mirror. She looked horrible! Smiling slightly, Shigo undressed and hopped into a nice hot bath. She poured different scent oils into the water and soon a strong but nice smell had filled her room. The smell was sweet and relaxing and made Shigo just want to sleep. After what must have been an hour in the bath she reluctantly got out of the small bath and began drying off.

Knock knock

"Hold on!" Shigo shouted as she began looking around her room for something to pull on. She pulled a teal silk outfit from a small black chest and put it on. Shigo made sure she looked decent in her mirror before pulling the door open to see Toukan.

"What's going on?" Shigo asked as she saw the look of pure anger on his face.

From behind himself, Toukan yanked Reiji in front of him by her wrist. "I caught Reiji trying to sneak into Lord Inuyasha's room. He was…angry, but it all got sorted out," Toukan explained, giving Reiji a small glare.

"You wench! Reiji how could you?" Shigo shouted furiously as Toukan pushed Reiji into the room.

"Excuse me but I love Inuyasha," Reiji replied, defiance in her young voice.

Shigo snorted. "Foolish girl. You wouldn't know what true love is if it hit you in the face and explained itself to you. Now sit," she said with a smirk as she pointed to a chair.

Reiji rolled her eyes but obeyed. "Don't be so rude, Shigo. I know what love is and I love Inuyasha," she said, folding her arms.

"And what of Kagome?" Shigo asked. After talking to Kagome for an hour last night after the celebration was over, she could tell Kagome loved Inuyasha even though she insulted him sometimes.

"Consider her gone," Reiji replied angrily, as if just hearing Kagome's name being spoken she was angered.

"No. Consider you gone. I will not have you disrupting the guests like this. You'll leave tomorrow," Shigo said. She was acting like the older sister that she was. Ordering her younger sibling around was fun, and she was quite amused that Reiji obeyed her sometimes.

"No I won't!" Reiji shouted angrily as she stood up. Her deep black eyes stared into Shigo's gentle lavender eyes. "I will not leave just because you told me to," she added with a sneer.

Shigo dared not speak. She knew if she did horrible things would come out of her mouth and Reiji would then certainly tell father, getting Shigo in deep trouble. All Shigo did was point to the door.

Reiji folded her arms and stalked out of the room, pushing Toukan's shoulder as she left.

Hours later, Shigo found herself apologizing to Inuyasha. "I'm so sorry, Lord Inuyasha," she said, a little bit of desperation in her voice. She didn't want Inuyasha to leave. She knew that somehow she would be blamed for the whole incident and if he left then Shigo would get more than a stern talking to.

Inuyasha waved a hand casually. "You can stop apologizing, I know you're sorry. Just keep her away from me," he replied just as Kagome approached.

"Oh hello. I see you're quite popular around here, Inuyasha," Kagome said a bit jealously.

Inuyasha snorted. "What are you so upset about? I didn't do anything wrong," he said, angry that Kagome actually thought he had had something to do about Reiji's visit.

"Nothing," Kagome replied as she glanced at Shigo.

"I was just apologizing for my foolish sister's acts. It won't happen again, she's leaving tomorrow," Shigo said, giving Kagome a small smile. "Don't worry," she added.

Later on in the day, Shigo felt like everything was going wrong. Her father refused to make Reiji leave and she was hoping Inuyasha and Kagome didn't get too angry with her after she'd said Reiji was leaving, the man she wanted to marry had been called to help in the war against the South Eastern lands and Shigo was stuck trying to keep Inuyasha, Miroku, Kagome, Sango and Shippou entertained.

"Dessert will be here in a moment but while we're waiting I was thinking of having some dancers come out," Shigo said.

Moments later three women wearing matching white kimonos with light blue obis came out. They each carried a differently designed fan but with the same color scheme. The music started and the dancing was excellent, not exactly what Miroku had thought though.

"I love their kimonos!" Kagome commented cheerfully.

"Really? I'm glad. Meikun and I made them, with a little help of course," Shigo said with a chuckle.

"Whose Meikun?" Kagome asked curiously. Surprised that royals had done some work. In her time, she was used to movies and such where the servants did everything and the royals usually acted prissy.

"My older sister, the eldest of all the children. It's hard to keep track sometimes when you have nine other siblings," Shigo replied.

"Nine? Wow…Are all of them here?" Kagome said.

Shigo nodded. "Would you like me to point them out tonight when the celebration is being held?" she asked.

"Sure! But why is there going to be another celebration held?" Kagome said.

"Because of my marriage. Though I don't understand how that's going to work now that Akuma is gone in the war and my marriage is only three days away. Nobody knows when he'll return and with all the fighting going on I'm actually doubting he'll return…safely," Shigo replied. She hesitated on `safely' because she had been going to say `alive', but she wouldn't let herself.

Kagome nodded slowly and looked back over to the dancers. The music was pleasant to listen to and the girl's voices were amazing.

Later on in the evening when Shigo's marriage celebration was to be held, things started going wrong.

"What?" Shigo asked worriedly as she entered her father's chamber.

Kyoudai sighed slowly. He knew this news as going to hurt his daughter deeply. "Akuma is dead," he said.

Shigo's eyes widened with pain. She couldn't believe it! "H-He's dead?" she stuttered. It felt like a stone had been dropped into her stomach. She felt sick and sad, tears were welling up in her eyes and she couldn't help herself but cry openly.

Kyoudai walked forward and hugged his daughter. "I'm so sorry. This will sound cruel but I need you to stop crying and help the servants begin fixing the Celebration room for Lord Sesshoumaru. He is coming tonight instead of tomorrow and the servants need quick help," he replied.

Shigo lowered her eyes to the ground and pushed her father away, gently but sternly. "Of course I'll help but…Are you sure? Have you seen his body?" she said desperately. Shigo hadn't even been able to say goodbye to him! It had come as a total surprise to her that he had had to leave for the war and now…

Kyoudai nodded grimly. "I'm so sorry, my daughter. But please, I need your help now," Kyoudai said as he sat down in a chair. Shigo had every right to be angry, and to be angry with him, too. Kyoudai had sent Akuma away for the war because they desperately needed help. He had thought that the war wouldn't get much worse but it had. The sight had been horrible.

Shigo sighed and rushed out of the room. Dead kept running through her mind. It didn't stop. Her mind was picturing Akuma's bloody body on the ground and she accidentally made herself sick.

"What's wrong with you?" Inuyasha asked. His voice was always filled with sarcasm, even when he wasn't making rude comments.

"I…Nothing. Lord Inuyasha, Lord Sesshoumaru is on his way. P-Please return to your room and get ready for the…upcoming celebration," Shigo said. She had managed to get the words out and in the right order, too, she just couldn't help stuttering as a tear slid down her cheek.

"What? He's coming? Why the hell is he coming?" Inuyasha shouted angrily. He hated his brother, loathed his brother.

Shigo closed her eyes in frustration and then opened them, her eyes filled with pain. "Please don't shout, Lord Inuyasha. Lord Sesshoumaru is on his way to discuss an alliance with my father's lands."

Inuyasha glared and a low growl escaped his mouth as the double doors opened and Sesshoumaru walked in.

Shigo gasped and realized his room wasn't ready for him. She called over two servants and quickly ordered them to fix Sesshoumaru's room, as quick as they could. In seconds they were gone.

Shigo hurried over to Sesshoumaru and gave a small bow. "Lord Sesshoumaru, welcome," she said. She tried with all of her strength to keep from crying and stuttering as her mind began flashing with more images of Akuma's death. Her hands were shaking and she couldn't wait to yell at someone for something.

Sesshoumaru gave a tiny nod and let Shigo lead him to Kyoudai's `official' room.
