Chapter 1: Earth

Year 5023

Rin opened her eyes and was greeted by the darkness lit up slightly by stars. She sighed as she stared up her glass ceiling. She had always loved her room that could look out to the endless stretched of nothingness, which was called Space. Getting up slowly and stretched, her clock next to her bunk told her it was only 5 in the morning. Well, there wasn't any day light, so no body would actually really tell whether it was still night.

However, Kaede had told them stories about how beautiful the sun was before in Earth and how green the fields looked with flowers and trees. Rin had no idea; she had been born in this spacecraft; Eternal almost seventeen years ago. Her mother passed away instantly after her birth and Kaede-sama the leader of the spacecraft had been taking care of her ever since.

A soft knock brought Rin back to reality.

"Rin, you awake?" A soft voice called from behind the door.

"Hai, Kagome…" Rin got up and pulled her uniform out from a closet. "Come on in…"

Kagome opened the door and entered; she was already dressed in her uniform. Kaede had a strict rule about their attire as they take their posts at the main control division. Kagome's uniform was a sleek white sleeveless top with Chinese collar, a tight green pants and a pair of brown boots.

Rin took off her nightgown to get into her uniform which was different from Kagome's. Her orange top shows off her white shoulders and showing a bit of her cleavage, a very matching orange pair of cloth wristband that covers her whole arm up to her shoulders, a red leather doggy collar, fitting black pants and black boots.

As Rin got dress, Sango appeared by her door in her sleek black attire; she had told them that this outfit had been passed down for generations by her people the Youkai Exterminator.

"You better hurry; Kaede-sama is expecting us to be at our post early today." Sango said and left.

"I wonder why?" Rin wondered as she zipped up her pants.

"It could be because of Kikyo telling on us… how we had a party a day ago" Kagome said wryly. "It was only a bit of fun; sometimes I wonder where her sense of humour is."

"She is your older sister…" Rin said they walked out the room together. "You should understand her more than any of us can. You both look so much a like but your attitudes are way so different…"

"Oh please," Kagome rolled her eyes. "As if I would stand one minute being like her. I will throw myself out to space."

Rin and Kagome giggled as they stepped into the elevator to get to the main control division.

"Sesshoumaru-sama!" Jakken cried running up to his master. "The option for new slaves will be in two days time."

Sesshoumaru was staring out the window at the dark sky as dead land stretched before his eyes. It had used to be greens and trees before human started chomping down trees to build their homes, buildings and skyscrapers. To what human had called technology. Youkai who had objections towards the way human acted began war… but it had been war and battles and deaths for as long as he could remember.

"Tell Inuyasha to handle this week's option." Sesshoumaru said emotionlessly as he continued to stare out the window.

He was tired of seeing death, for he had fought along side with his father and brother for the pass century and was still fighting even after his father's death. It had only stopped one thousand years ago when human fled because they could no longer keep up with the battle pace and at last peace on Earth but the land was finally dead. No trees, no grass and no living creatures roamed around Earth. The sky was always black with pollution and they could never tell whether it was night or day. It is scars to see animals around though black crows roamed around listlessly in the sky. Some humans still remained on Earth; those that were not caught to be sold as slave were in hiding.

"He will be away on battle this week Sesshoumaru-sama!" Jakken replied.

Sesshoumaru finally tore his gaze from the depressing scenery. "What battle?"

"He didn't say…" Jakken replied.

Sesshoumaru frowned, his brother always goes out without telling him and doing things he never approve of.

"Find him and bring him back." Sesshoumaru shouted. "I will not hear that he goes out without confronting me again!"

"Yes master…" Jakken quickly bow. "What about the option."

"We still have slaves…"

"Actually, five died yesterday night." Jakken said. "We need to replace them…"

"Jakken if you still want to live I suggest that you leave my sight at once!" Sesshoumaru said in a low menacing voice as he turned away from his servant.

"Hai, master…" Jakken stammered and sprint out the door.

"Inuyasha will have a piece of my mind when he comes home…"

"Kaede you mean, they are kidnapped?" Kagome exclaimed.

"For the pass few days I had been getting news from the other spacecrafts." Kaede explained. "They had been attacked and survivors will be taken back to Earth and be sold as slaves to the Youkai Lords…"

"What?" Rin cried. "That is so unfair!"

"This is going to be difficult," Kaede continued. "It will be your first mission on Earth, so I will ask who will like to volunteer."

There was silence as the other's looked at each other. They were the new generations and had never seen Earth though they know that Earth had been destroyed and nothing was left there except youkai. It will be the most gruesome place to visit.

"I will," Rin finally said.

"Rin you are only seventeen years old." Kaede protested.

"I'll be eighteen next month soon Kaede, if you had forgotten." Rin smiled. "I will go and I will make it. I want to save those that were kidnapped."

"And I will go with her." Kagome stepped up front.

"Me too!" Sango exclaimed standing out next to Kagome.

Rin gave them a thank you smile before turning back to Kaede.

"If they have insisted," Kikyo suddenly appeared wearing her miko clothing. "Might as well let them try out their first task without their fighting craft. All three of you may be good in battle with your battle ships, but this task at Earth, you are not to use them because there are other ways to tackle this situation."

The three of them looked at Kikyo's expressionless face aghast. They had never fought without their battle ships before and it was something really new to them.

"One of you will have to dress normally." Kaede said after they regained their composure. "The slave bidding will be in two days from now. So be prepared."

Sesshoumaru cursed inwardly as he left his castle to get to the slave bidding. When he was at the small market place where all the other youkai lords gathered he was rather surprised to see that the humans this time were welled dressed and in good conditions.

Where the hell did they find them? Sesshoumaru thought.

As the bid began something caught Sesshoumaru's eyes he moved over to see a human girl in a sleeveless, V-neck almost showing her cleavage white gown lurking around the stand behind the bidder. He was rather surprised no one saw her. Curious at what the girl was up to and wondering whether she was one of the slaves he moved closer. If so he would rather like to purchase this enchanting looking creature. He couldn't believe any human could look like her.

His eyes roamed over her body; her milky white flawless skin, her dark brown hair lay lazily around her shoulders and her curves around her body was simply amazing. She could have any man or youkai alive on their knees.

Rin hid in the shadows as she watched the slave trying to read the coded cuffs on their hands and chains on their legs as she typed a numerical on the controller to break codes. She never thought anyone would notice her until someone grabbed hold of her waist and pulled her back toward him. Knowing that she couldn't scream because it will draw all the youkais' attention she remained silent.

"If you scream you will attract these youkai…" a low voice whispered in her ear. "So are you a slave? If you are why are you hiding behind the shadows and unchained?"

Rin craned her neck slightly to look and saw herself staring into a pair of golden eyes staring back at her.

Her eyes are light brown, Sesshoumaru thought holding her close to his body. He could smell the essence of strawberries and peaches coming from her. A very rare combination but he liked it. He inhaled deeply at her scent wondering whether she taste as nice as she smelt.

Rin cracked her brains wondering how to get away from this youkai when she spotted Kagome and Sango not far off, both of them had the same masks of utmost horror on their faces. Rin shook her head slightly telling them not to do anything rash. She will think of a way to escape.

Sesshoumaru willed her around looking at her intently. He was very surprised that he could not sense any fear from this little girl had she glared back up at him.

A brave one, he smiled inwardly.

"So how did you get yourself sold as a slave on Earth, wench?" Sesshoumaru asked as he studied her delicate features. She had deep set light brown eyes with thick long curled lashes framing her eyes, button nose, and pink soft lips. Her beautiful dark brown and shiny long hair framed her oval face beautifully.

His gaze stopped on her full luscious lips speculating whether he should just taste her there and then. He had never been attracted to any human before. Infect he hated all humans that walk the Earth but this human in front of him was different. Very different from those he had fought with. Her delicate figure and beautiful curves indicated to him that she had never fought before or so he thought.

"Are you going to answer me or are you mute?" Sesshoumaru asked then for he had accountant more than once humans who were so scared they lost their vocal cord, but there wasn't any fear from this girl.

Rin didn't know whether to answer him or not as she continued to glare at him. From the aura that he had given out, Rin knew immediately that he was an Inu-Youkai. Gradually, her gaze shifted slightly to the stage where the slaves stood before she moved her eyes back to Sesshoumaru. With one hand behind her back, she moved her thumb over to a button on the controller; she had broken the code when this Youkai came. She remembered the signal she was supposed to give Kagome and Sango when she was ready; the signal was a `blow away kiss'.

Now with a Youkai keeping an eye on her she had no idea how to do it without him catching her giving signal to her partners. The only thing came into her mind was; with her one free hand she pulled Sesshoumaru's head down towards her and pressed her lips against his.

Sesshoumaru was caught by surprised and no one had ever done that before as he watched this exquisite nymph crushed her lips against his engulfing him with her sweetness and scent; she tasted like cookies and cream. Unable to stop himself he pulled her closer to his body as he felt himself hardened; kissing her back.

He licked her lower lips demanding entry; slowly his hands caressing the curves of her body. Her soft fabric gave him the asset to feel her soft body and slowly one of his hands traveled up to her bare neck and cleavage touching her soft silky skin. It had been a long time since anyone had given him this kind of pleasure. As a matter a fact, no body had driven him so madly with desire before. He was the Youkai Lord and he always knows how to control his emotions but this girl before him was so intoxicating he lost all senses immediately. Slowly, he could feel the girl giving up opening her mouth for him to plunge his tongue deeply into her, tasting more of her.

She was so fresh, he could sense that she had never been touch by a male before, there was no scent of her being with any male too and it had been his first time, he had tasted such delicious accouter as he closed his eyes falling into deeper into ecstasy.

Rin watched Sesshoumaru closed his eyes and she moved her eyes towards Kagome and Sango who stood there with their mouth hanging opened. They quickly got back their posture and took their positions. She had gotten very excited at the way this Youkai was caressing her and kissing her though she had a job to do. Every part of her body was burning with desire from his touch and she could feel the heat between her legs.

She had never felt like that before in her life and she knew that what she was feeling and doing was against their rules. The things that this youkai was doing to her was making her losing her mind and the worst of all was she wanted more of it even her mind told her that it was wrong. With all her inner strength she pressed the button on the controller, knowing that as soon as the chains were unlocked, the spell with this youkai will be broken and she will be free from these feelings.

Sesshoumaru snapped back to his senses when he heard shouting and yelling. He broke away from the girl to look around to see; the slaves were released. Two girls wearing sleek and tight fitting clothes came into the crowd of Youkai shooting them, and threw weapons to the slaves. The Youkai, who were shot, died in the most gruesome way Sesshoumaru had ever seen. To his surprise, the slaves knew how to fight and how to use those weapons given to them. Before he could move or do anything else. The girl he had in his arm pointed something on the back of his head. He couldn't see what it was so he remained still.

"I wouldn't move if I were you." The girl said softly. "This weapon is design specially to kill Youkai like you. It kills you slowly, as the poison eats every living tissue in your body."

Sesshoumaru looked down at the girl coldly. He couldn't believe this exquisite girl before him was also among the humans who had fought his kind. Even though the girl was glaring at him, she still looked really captivating.

"Let go of me." Rin declared menacingly.

Sesshoumaru did it slowly and rather reluctantly. After he did, he took a step back and watched the girl. She backed away from him pointing the gun at him. When she was a few feet away; she turned and fled. Her partners were already in the aircraft lifting off as she ran full speed towards the entrance as Kagome stood there reaching out for her.

"Hurry!" Kagome shouted.

Sesshoumaru watched Rin running towards the aircraft like a gust of wind; her skirt flew up showing him her long slender legs that seemed to go forever. Just by watching her, made him hardened again and he narrowed his eyes. Never in his life anyone, human or Youkai alive could enchant him like this girl could. He wanted her and he had a feeling that she wanted him too… her pleasant scent of arousal told him so.

Rin leapt up then catching Kagome's hand hanging in the air for a second before Sango came along and pulled her up into the aircraft. Rin stood by the door and looked down her face void from all emotions as she watched Sesshoumaru still looking at her calmly as the door slid shut automatically.

"You will never run from me the second time," Sesshoumaru vowed watching the ship flew up the sky.
