Chapter 8: Attack

Rin was still uncomfortable about her dream as she walked down the corridor alone after convincing Kagome and Sango that she was fine. Instead of going to her division she headed to another department- the Department of Mystics.

Sesshoumaru ignored the stares he got from passer bys as he walked down the corridor following Rin's scent. He had sensed her coming out from her quarters though she made no move to go to her department where he currently was, waiting for her to appear after her rest. When he felt her presence walking away from her department, he left to look for her.

Rin pressed her palm on the key lock panel and the metal door before her slid opened. She was then greeted by a dimly lit room with black and white candles floating around in the room. An elderly woman appeared to greet her.

"Rin-sama, why have you come?" she asked beckoning her to come in.

"Tsubaki-san, I have come to seek your guidance."

Rin walked into the dimly lit room and another two younger girls bounced out towards her happily. Rin smiled at their presence, both this younger girls had been following Tsubaki for as long as she remembered for they had the gift of a seer both pass, present and future just like Tsubaki. Tsubaki had then trained them since they were toddlers on how to use their gift.

"Botan-chan, Momigi-chan how are you?" Rin asked cheerfully.

"We are fine." Botan replied happily. "We have been learning lots from Tsubaki-sama!!!!"

"Yes, we have even learned how to read thoughts!!!!" Momigi-chan cried.

"That is awesome!!!!" Rin smiled and turned back to Tsubaki. "Don't you think Tsubaki-san, it would be a great chance if they test their newly learned talent on me now…"

Tsubaki nodded with a small smile. Rin grinned and turned to Botan first.

"OK, if you can read my mind. Botan-chan what am I thinking?"

"You have trouble thoughts." Botan said as she looked at Rin. "Something about a dream you had."

"Very good." Rin smiled and turned to Momigi. "Now you…"

Momigi smiled as she studied Rin closely. Her smiled wilt almost instead as she stared at Rin wide eyed and then she let out a blood curling scream which made Rin and Botan jumped. Tsubaki narrowed her eyes unperturbed.

"Your dream…" Momigi stammered. "Your dream…"

Rin stared at Momigi with wide eyes.

"Is that why you had come to seek my counsel?" Tsubaki asked softly.

"You already know?" Rin turned back to Tsubaki. "About the dream?"

"I could see it in your eyes the minute you walk in." Tsubaki said sadly. "Please have a sit at the table."

Momigi was still shaking as Botan tried to comfort her they both followed along to the round table where a single black candle floated in the middle. All four of them sat around the empty chairs around the table.

"So Tsubaki-san, what does it mean?" Rin asked anxiously.

"There is danger ahead my dear Rin, in your future." Tsubaki said in a whispery voice. "I have to advice you to stay away from that demon lord if you can!"

"Sesshoumaru? But he had meant me no harm Tsubaki-san."

"You intrigue him and he will go all his way to make you his…" Tsubaki continued in her low voice which now made every single hair on Rin to stand.

"Make me his?" Rin repeated bewilderedly. "There is no way that can happen. I mean he is demon and I am human we can never be!!!!

"That dream is not a joke Rin-sama." Botan said softly. "You have to be careful."

"Just stay away from him." Momigi added in. "It is for your own good."

Rin remained silent with a frown on her face. If only she could stay away from him, no matter where she went or where she was, he seemed to know where to look for her. She stood up from the table.

"Thanks for you advice, Tsubaki-san." Rin said swiftly heading for the door. "I'll be careful."

Rin left the Department of Mystic even more mystified. She hung her head as she made her way down the corridor slowly and rammed into someone's chest. She looked up slowly and saw her face to face with Bankutso.

"Hey Rin-chan, I have been looking everywhere for you." Bankutso flashed his charming smile. "Guess what? Kaede-sama had agreed on letting me partner with you in the search of Naraku. I'm looking forward in working with you."

"That is great Bankotsu-sama." Rin forced a smile even Bankotsu could tell it wasn't a genuine smile.

"Is something wrong?" Bankotsu asked with concerned.

"It's nothing." Rin shook her head looking down the floor again.

"Hey," Bankotsu touched her chin gently and lift it up slowly to look into her eyes. "We are partners, you can tell me anything. Besides, if you can't tell me, you can always seek for Jakotsu. He is a much better listener than I am anyways."

Rin smiled at his kindness but soon her smiled wilt and she gasped when she looked behind Bankotsu. Bankotsu curious at Rin's sudden uneasiness dropped his hand from her chin and turned around to see Sesshoumaru glowering at them.

When Sesshoumaru had finally found Rin, he wasn't please to see another man touching her. His possession, his Rin. He stalked behind that person slowly but Rin gasped drawing attention to him and that man turned around to face him. He growl menacingly.

"Sesshoumaru!!!" Rin exclaimed nervously. "This is Bankotsu-sama… er… if you remember, he was one of the prisoners from the slave auction my friends and I had saved."

Bankutso-sama? Sesshoumaru thought heatedly. She addresses him with so much respect!!!!

"Oh," Bankutso looked at Sesshoumaru with dislike in his calm and unnerving look. "So this is the famous Demon Lord everyone is talking about… unfortunately I missed Kaede's speech introducing him and the others to the rest of the crews."

"Where were you?" Rin asked.

"I was out with Jakotsu to find the main source on where those guns you have brought in were made."

"Any success?"

Sesshoumaru watched the two of them ignoring his presence suddenly when they talked about weapons and research. His temper boiled over its limits. He raised his claw hand making cracking sounds.

"No, we were close to the destination but we were intercepted by another battleship with `N' coded at its side of the ship." Bankotsu replied agitated. "We were so close."

"`N'!!!!" Rin exclaimed. "That was the same battleships that attacked me when I escape Zealot City!!!! And Sesshoumaru saved my life…"

Sesshoumaru snapped out of his blinded anger when Rin mentioned him. He turned to look at her no longer his attention on Bankotsu. Rin was smiling at him. He relaxed slightly.

"You mean him…?" Bankotsu raised his eyebrows pointing his thumb behind where Sesshoumaru stood.

Rin nodded. "Hai, Sesshoumaru saved me. I really owe him my life."

"So…" Bankotsu turned his gaze to Sesshoumaru still filled with dislike. "Well, he may have saved my partner but doesn't mean my point of view about demons change because of his deed."

Sesshoumaru glare back at him. How he hated that human man

Rin looked at the both of them uneasily. She knew Sesshoumaru was about to attack Bankotsu, that was when she quickly brought the subject about how he had saved her life to side track his attention. But it looked like it didn't work for long.

However, the glaring competition didn't last for long when a loud bang echoed through the corridor and the whole mother ship shook from the sound. Rin shook along with the tremble loosing her balancing falling on Bankotsu who quickly grabbed hold of her before her butt landed on the floor.

Sesshoumaru's eyes narrowed at the gesture and lighting speed grabbed Rin out of Bankotsu's grip. Rin was flabbergasted but remained silent for a moment.

"What the hell!!!!" Bankotsu shouted angrily. "What is your problem!!!!?"

"Don't. Touch. Her." Sesshoumaru gritted his teeth as he spoke.

"Why you…" Bankotsu started but Rin stopped him.

"Don't!!!!" Rin exclaimed getting out of Sesshoumaru's hold though he reluctantly let go. "It's alright. Sesshoumaru and I are friends. Please, don't start unnecessary fights."

Bankotsu glared at Sesshoumaru angrily wondering, why did Rin helped a heartless demon? But he didn't press on. Though their little dispute ended when the warning alarm went off through the whole mother ship and Kikyo's voice magnified throughout the whole ship.

"We are under attack!!!! Get to your positions!!!!"

Rin turned quickly to Sesshoumaru.

"I have to go, why don't you go to the main control room… I'm sure Kaede-sama will be there waiting for you. I'll see you after the battle!!!!"

With a wink and smile she ran down the corridor with Bankotsu.

Sesshoumaru watched Rin ran off slightly perturbed at the fact that she was going into battle. What kind of battle? Well he will soon find out when he reach the main control room.

"Damn!!!" Kagome cried running towards her bay when the alarm went off. "This has to happen now of all times…"

She was in the middle of practicing her miko powers when their ship was hit and the alarm went off.

Sango appeared next to her in no time.

"Shit, what is this sudden attack all about?" Sango exclaimed.

"Beats me, I have a feeling it had to do with this new enemy…" Kagome replied breathlessly.

"Naraku?"

"Who else?"

"Curse him to hell!!!!"

"His name already means hell!!!!"

They split up at the junction as they head for their battleship bay.

Rin burst into her bay startling Renkotsu who was wiping his hands with a towel. His bald head wrapped in a light blue scarf. He turned to a very breathless Rin with a slight troubled look.

"Is my ship ready?" Rin asked taking deep breaths.

"Unfortunately only partially…" Renkotsu replied regretfully. "The weapons were damage beyond repair. The laser had hit right to the core and it actually damaged part of the engine as well…"

"That bad?" Rin's heart sank at the information.

"I had tried to restore the weapons to its full potential but the engine may still have faults." Renkotsu sighed. "I will advice you not to go out there in this battle this time."

"But my partners need my reinforcement!!!!" Rin cried. "I have to go out there."

"If only I have more time." Renkotsu said regretfully.

"No time to irresolute right now, I have to go!!!!"

With that last statement Rin ran over to the ship and climbed the ladder and slipped down to the driver seat. Renkotsu ran for the door while it slid shut slowly, behind the closing doors, he watched Rin starting up her ship with slight uneasiness creeping in.

"Please be alright…" He whispered as the metal door slid shut.

Then the wide auto metal gates that lead to space slid opened and Rin shot out from her bay.

Sesshoumaru watched orders being shouted out by Kikyo while everyone tried to keep up with her prompt instructions. Kaede sat on a metal chair behind all of them on a higher level watching them calmly as they carried out their duties. He stood next to her wondering how a human could be so calm at this time.

"Rin had finally come out from her bay." Kaede whispered.

Sesshoumaru turned his attention back to the wide see-through glass which shown him the star filled universe which was now filled with lasers shots everywhere and battle ships flying around in a hasty speed. He recognized the small orange battle ship Rin had used before. He eyed her swift flying skills, and how fast she took down her opponent and how she dodges the lasers that aimed her way. Sesshoumaru never lost his eye contact with that orange battle ship as he watched it attentively.

"What took you so long?" Kagome shouted through her attached microphone to her headphones when Rin appeared.

"Slight machinery problem." Rin replied shooting down a couple of battleships as they exploded.

"Glad that you are finally with us!!!" Sango's voice joined in.

Rin dodged several lasers flying her way and at the same time shooting her enemies. She caught sight of the same `N' alphabet encoded on the side of the opponents' ships and frowned. They must have tracked them down.

"Rin behind you..." Kagome screamed.

Rin quickly dodged up and did an over turned with her ship. The enemy ship which couldn't shoot Rin down had attacked her from the back trying to knock her down together with him.

Kagome shot that ship down with her laser.

"Rin are you alright?" Rin heard Sango's anxious voice.

"I'm fine!!!" Rin replied angry at herself for being so careless. "It won't happen again."

Sesshoumaru clutched his hands into fist watching the scene. That ship nearly crashed into her. If it wasn't for her swift flying skills, she would have been taken down by that ship.

"She will be fine…" Kaede said watching Sesshoumaru with the side of her eyes. "She has partners taking care of her out there too…"

Sesshoumaru relaxed slightly and his same indifferent expression came back to his face again.

"Ah Rin-chan," Bankotsu drawled. "Why don't you stay behind me, I will look after you…"

"Bankotsu-sama, if that meant to be a joke," Rin replied angrily as she could imagine him smiling mischievously. "It is not funny!!! It sounded more like an insult!!!!"

"Hey, lightened up!!!" Rin heard Jakotsu's chuckling voice then. "Don't mind him, he is always like that!!!!"

Rin smiled, without Bankotsu and Jakotsu around, the battle in space was always gloomy and serious. They are always so funny and nice. Rin was very happy to have met them.

The more enemy ships they take down, more of them appear. Soon Kagome, Sango and Rin were frowning at their lack of reinforcement.

"Kagome-sama!!!!" one of their team mates cried with panic. "We are going to be outnumbered."

"Rin-sama, what are to do?"

"Sango-sama, do we retreat?"

Rin frowned at their enemies. Retreat? That would be the last thing they will do. With an angry cry Rin shot forward.

"What the hell?" Bankotsu cried when Rin shot out towards the enemies.

"I WON"T GIVE UP!!!!" Rin shouted angrily.

"Rin NOOOO!!!!" Kagome cried as she sped up behind her followed by Sango.

They watched Rin's ship stagger slightly as she served off course.

What was going on? Kagome thought. Rin was a skilled pilot she wouldn't make that kind of blunder. Then something clicked in her head. Rin's ship was damaged when she came home from Zealot City. What if her ship wasn't fully repaired yet?

Kagome cursed inwardly.

"What the hell Rin is doing!!!!?" Kikyo shouted. She reached for the microphone and shouted out towards the battle crews. "RIN GET BACK!!!! RETREAT!!!!!! You hear me EVERYONE RETREAT!!!!"

Her cry came out to late for Rin had already plunged into death toll.

Sesshoumaru eyes widened when he saw Rin's ship wrecked by the enemies.

"HURRY get her out of there!!!!" Jakotsu shouted.

Bankotsu shot a diversion to put the enemy off while Jakotsu pressed a button in his ship, shooting out two thick wires from his ship which gripped onto Rin's almost `ruined into pieces' battle ship. He didn't want to imagine how Rin was like in that wreck.

Kagome, Sango and the rest of the battle crews shot lasers at the enemies to put them off as they back away.

Jakotsu's ship towed Rin's wreckage towards his bay as the auto metal doors slid shut. As quickly as he had landed, he climbed out from his ship and ran over to Rin's. He pulled opened the dented door on top of the roof and looked in. He winced slightly at the sight.

"Kikyo-taichio?" One of the crews at the main control room called timidly. "Everyone is safely in their bays."

Kikyo stared ahead of her sadness brief over her face before her cold emotionless expression was plastered on her face again. She looked at the crew with indifferent eyes.

"Retreat!" She ordered coldly. "Escape with the speed of light away from those bastards!!!!!"

She turned around away from the crews which were seated around the see-through glass at the control panels to look at Kaede who stared back slightly perturbed. Sesshoumaru was no longer at her side.

It was the first time Rin was injured in a battle. Their most skilled combatant was injured. How terribly, they didn't dare to imagine.

Kagome and Sango raced down the corridor to Jakotsu's bay. They had seen Jakotsu dragging Rin's damaged beyond recognition battle ship with him as he retreated. When they reached the doors and it slid opened, they saw Jakotsu and Bankotsu dragging Rin's bloodied body out of her wrecked ship.

Their hands flew straight up to cover their mouth and gasping at the sight of their close friend in Bankotsu and Jakotsu's arms. Rin lay limply in their arms unconscious, a deep gash traced across her forehead, burn scars around her left arm, neck and slightly above her breast where her uniform were slightly burned off, deep gashes of scratches on both her legs and what made them looked at Rin in outmost horror was a broken metal piece from her battle ship was stabbed straight through the side of her waist. Her blood flow freely created a huge deep red puddle of blood on the floor where Bankotsu and Jakotsu's were standing.

"Call Dr. Suikotsu now!!!!" Bankotsu shouted. "She is losing a lot of blood."

"Hai!!!!" Sango stammered getting a grip on herself and ran off.

Kagome staggered slightly as she walked over to them looking at Rin's battered body. She didn't even realize Sesshoumaru suddenly appeared next to her. She only realized it was when Sesshoumaru bent over Rin's body intending to take her into his arms.

Sesshoumaru thought his heart almost stopped when he saw Rin's wounded body. He went over to her unaware of the surroundings around him and knelt down holding his hands up wanting to take her body into his.

"What the hell are you trying to do?" Bankotsu yelled. "Leave Rin-chan alone!!!!"

Sesshoumaru growled softly never taking his eyes off Rin.

"Bankotsu… I think it should be alright…" Jakotsu said softly watching the demon's eyes wearily. "Look…"

Bankotsu stared at Jakotsu and then back at Sesshoumaru. For a fleeting moment, he saw sadness and anger. Then it was covered by his usual cold mask again. Bankotsu frowned, he still wasn't going to let this demon take Rin in his arms.

Where is Dr. Suikotsu? What is taking Sango-chan so long? Bankotsu thought anxiously.

"Please let me through!!!!!"

Soon they heard Dr. Suikotsu's voice as he raced into the bay. Sesshoumaru turned to see the human healer coming up to them, with two females at his wake pushing in what looked like a bed. He could see those girls flinched at the sight of Rin. He had to admit, he almost winced in pain at her condition.

"Please, Sesshoumaru-sama…" Dr. Suikotsu addressed him mildly. "I need to take Rin to the medical centre. You of course can come along but let Jakotsu and Bankotsu put her on this stretcher so we can take her there."

"I'll do it." Sesshoumaru snapped.

"But…" Bankotsu started to protest but Jakotsu stopped him and shook his head.

Sesshoumaru lifted Rin up carefully from their grip and place her gently on the bed where both the girls pushed her out the bay and raced down the corridor with Dr. Suikotsu.

Sesshoumaru watched them leave, never feeling this awful in his entire life before…

Gosh I thought I lost all inspiration for this story. One I had never really written a hentai story before and second… I was pretty busy even after exam looking for a job this time and also updating my other SlamDunk stories until I hadn't had the time for this. But I promise more lemon in coming chapters. Everyone has to patient okies!!!! Remember this is my first hentai story…

SOOOOOO sorry for such a late update. I realized I practically stopped updating for nearly the whole month. I am very sorry to those who follow this story closely. Well I hope this chapter is as interesting as the others. Next chapter: Off Days; I am already working on it. So I may put it up sooner than usual. Pls review!!!! Thank you so much.
