"Thanks for driving me, Wufei," Sesshou told his friend as he slid into the passenger's seat of Wufei's Corvette. Wufei started the ignition and they were off. Sesshou was wearing his work clothes: a maroon button up shirt, a dark orange apron, black dress pants, and brown dress shoes. Such was the uniform for a waiter at the high-class restaurant where he worked.

"It was no trouble, Sesshou," Wufei said. "I was headed that direction anyway."

There was a few more minutes of silence between the two men.

"How's that girl doing?" Wufei broke the silence. He regretted asking when he saw the new look of distress on his friend's face.

"Her foster parents shooed me away when I went back to the hospital room," Sesshou told his friend. "They claimed I had kidnapped her, and wouldn't let me get a word in before two orderlies threw me out of the building."

"How unfortunate. If you give me a name I could easily find her address," Wufei offered.

"I didn't find out anything about her," Sesshou slumped. "She said that she had never stayed with any one family long enough to get a last name."

Wufei examined Sesshou's face and smirked.

"You like the girl, don't you?" Wufei stated. Sesshou stiffened for a moment and turned his head to Wufei.

"Yeah, sure, she's nice and all," Sesshou said. Wufei chuckled lightly.

"No I mean really like the girl," Wufei pointed out. Sesshou laughed nervously and scratched the back of his head.

"Well…I…," Sesshou started, but then pointed out the window. "There's the place. Thanks for driving me."

"Lucky break, pal," Wufei said as he stopped the car. Sesshou stepped out and closed the door behind him. He looked through the window and waved as Wufei drove off.

Sesshou strode into the restaurant where he was immediately set to waiting tables. Even while smiling politely and taking orders he kept thinking about what Wufei had said. How could he fall for a girl he had just met? He had never let any girl get that close to him.

While pondering over this, someone walking by the restaurant caught his eye. He paused and starred at the person strolling by the window.

It couldn't be, he thought and squinted. It was. He shoved the order at Quatre, a fellow waiter.

"Would you take this?" Sesshou requested, but didn't wait for the confused blonde boy to answer. He took off through the exit and pushed his way through the stream of people. He was tall, but not tall enough to see over the many umbrellas.

"Rin! Rin, wait!" Sesshou called out over the crowd. He shoved his way through the flow of people like a fish trying to swim upstream. "Rin! It's me! Sesshou! Please, wait!"

A few more tears dropped off of Rin's cheeks while she marched along the sidewalk. Without warning, a wonderful sound reached her ears. Someone was calling to her. Not just anyone, but that one someone who could make her happy. Rin stopped in her tracks and turned around.

"Sesshou! Sesshou, is that really you?" Rin ran through the bustling people until she collided with a tall white haired boy. She looked up and her eyes met Sesshou's handsome, grinning face. A large smile spread across Rin's lips and she dug her face in his chest. He wrapped his arms around her and she did the same. They held each other close while the rain poured down around them.

"Rin! Oh, I can hardly believe it," Sesshou said. "I thought I might never see you again."

Rin's tears were now tears of joy. She giggled with glee and rubbed her cheek against his wet shirt.

"Sesshou, I'm here. I thought the same thing," Rin said. "I'm so happy I've found you."

"Rin, we need to talk," Sesshou pulled back and look at her smiling face. "Will you come to my apartment with me? There's no where else where we can be alone."

Rin's eyes sparkled and she nodded furiously before hugging him again. Now that she had finally found him, her legs felt the exhaustion of all the running she had done. She became slack against Sesshou and panted.

"I will, but I'm exhausted," she breathed out. Sesshou picked her up into his strong arms and stroked her hair with one hand.

"Don't worry. You just rest. I'll get us a cab," Sesshou walked to the curb and a hailed a taxi quickly. When it arrived, he set Rin in first then sat next to her. Rin rested her head on his chest and began to drift off to sleep. Sesshou wrapped one arm around her shoulder and laid his head against hers.
