Chapter four. Heartbreak
"Kikyo...." Kagome whispered.
Kikyo narrowed her eyes at the two lovers tangled together, "how could you Inu Yasha......"
"...I.........." Inu Yasha could not find any words to say.
"you betrayed me..." she hissed out, "I thought you loved me......" Kikyo was solid, she did not shed a single tear for him, she just built up anger inside her.
Kagome cried again, but this time Inu Yasha didn't notice, he was too hypnotized by Kikyo, she pushed him off her, and covered herself, "I'm sorry Inu Yasha........I shouldn't have came to check on you in the first place....this would have never happened..."
"No." both Kagome and Kikyo stared at him, "don't leave Kagome."
"what..?" Kikyo's eyes widened.
"Inu Yasha..." Kagome whispered.
"you...want that whore to stay..." Kikyo insulted.
"she might be a whore...." Inu Yasha looked up into Kikyo's eyes, "but she's my whore...."
Kagome felt a blush creep over her face, Kikyo grew angry, "Why are you defending her Inu Yasha, you are in love with me....you know it..."
"no.....that was long ago.........I WAS in love with you.....now Kagome is my love, I have proof..." Inu Yasha calmly mentioned.
"I can't believe this..." Kikyo balled her fist, "you lied to me all that time, you said you loved me! and now you love my reincarnation! what's next?! her reincarnation too?!"
"Go away Kikyo!" Kagome retorted, "please....you had your chance..."
"...fine....if I can't have you....." Kikyo drew her bow and arrow, "no one will..........."

*Bitch....who does she think she is.......taking my love..* Kagura was still thinking about the incident that happened not too long ago...
(Flashback)
The attention soon went to Sesshomaru who rubbed his head renewing his memory, his eyes turned golden again, he blinked once, then looked at the two women in confusion.
"......Welcome back to reallity........." Kasuga stared at him like had nothing happened between them.
"...What......?...." he demanded softly. Kasuga smirked, she gave him a blow kiss, and winked at him then disappeared in a miasma.
"Bitch!" Kagura yelled.
"....you again..........." Sesshomaru muttered, Kagura paused and stared back at him. She did nothing but stand there, Sesshomaru narrowed his eyes at her, "Naraku's actions begin to annoy me. If you desire the jewel so much, take it." he almost threw the shard at her, it was close, instead he hit the tree next to her, "next time I will not be so careless....." with his last words, he left the scene leaving Kagura wide-eyed kneeling on the floor.

Kagura gripped onto the jewel tightly, "No one can have him but me....no one.......we'll see Kasuga..........we shall see who gets to him first......" Kagura started laugh softly.
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
"Blah..blah..blah.....why can't she just stop nagging.......I hate her....why did Naraku create her in the first place....we'll do much better off without her......argh...." Kasuga sighed, "hmm..........this....Sesshomaru demon......what does she like about him anyway...I mean......he didn't do anything for her......but...." she thought more, it was complicated. Very. Kasuga finally decided to visit the young lord and spy, he was in the usual state of agony, but it looked worse than before, he was actually sweating. It surprised her a bit, then again why should she care, all the emotions mixed together confusing her, why does she even have such an emotion.
*No.....I can't do this.....have I grown to like him too.....?..........no.....I can't... I won't.....it's stupid....mating is stupid.....love is stupid.....what am I doing here..?.....Oh god I'm turning into Kagura.......stalking him like this................I'd better go before he picks up on my scent......it would be humiliating....* she turned back, kneeling on the ground, "I don't know what to think anymore.........."
Then, she hears a slight shifting sound form his room, she once again peeked through the bushes and looked through the window, it was, "What.....the....hell................................is she doing here........."
Kagura, was in the most disturbing robe she'd ever seen, slik black barely covering her chest, a lot more revealing than Kasuga's. "that slut! what the fuck is she doing?!" she whispered.
Kagura went over to the western lord and laid next to him, she began to play with his ear and kiss his cheek, however, Sesshomaru still did not move. Was this one of Kagura's tricks? making him unconsious and weakened so she could so whatever she wants with him?
"That's it! that mother fucker is go'n down!" Kasuga took out her fan, and went through the window gripping onto her kimono, "Hey bitch!! Get off him!"
Kagura stopped playin with him and turned around, shocked that her sister was here, "What the hell are you doing here?!"
"What the fuck are YOU doing here?!" Kasuga yelled.
Sesshomaru woke up by the new scents and the yelling around him, he turned his head to see two women arguing, *Why are there women in my chamber....?....* he thought, then looked more to the left finding Kagura almost naked in his bed, "What is the meaning of this?" he partially got up, and growled at the both of them.
Kagura scooted towards the edge of the bed backing away from him, "I......I......."
"We were having a party, come join if you like...." Kasuga used her sarcasim.
"I'd prefer not....what are you both doing here..?.....what does Naraku want now." he scowled.
"Ummm.........he......." Kagura hesitated, a blush threatened to take over her face.
"I decided to come on my own...." Kasuga solemly said.
"To do what...?...."
"I....don't know......." she answered looking down, "..but...I can't help it....I'd hate to admit it but.....there's something about you that I want to find out........my curiousity led me back to you castle."
Sesshomaru was a little surprised but he didn't show it, Kagura cursed in her mind, her reason is too shameful to let known, there was no excuse she could use. Even so, how would she explain it? in his bed almost naked doing nothing?
"Kagura came with me....appartently we both think the same........you are very mischievious Sesshomaru........I wonder why is that..."
"The way I am you do not need to know.....but does testing your curiousity involve nudity..."
"Oh....that.......she decided to change her wardrobe....is that so wrong..?" Kagura looked at Kasuga surprised that her sister was defending her, "Now that your awake...it's not fun anymore.....me and my sis will see you later, bye..."Kasuga took Kagura's hand and they both dissapeared.
*Strange women......* Sesshomaru thought.

They both appeared again far from his castle, Kasuga let go of her hand and dusted them off.
"Why....?" Kagura asked, Kasuga gave her a silent words and looked at her strangely, "Why did you defend me...?..."
"Defend you...?...what the fuck are you talking about...?....that was only part of my plan...." Kagura was confused, Kasuga sighed and rolled her eyes of annoyance, "don't you get it?.......first of all, why would I defend you?.....your a whore who doesn't even deserve to die....and second, I defended you because you were getting too close to him.....if he knew you loved him I might not have a chance bitch..."
"What?......you mean that you love him??" Kagura was suprised by her.
"...I....didn't say that.......um..you just ASSUMED that....I liked him......humph!" Kasuga averted from her sister.
Kagura smiled, "I see........mhmm...........you know that your very unpredictable little sister.........."
"What do you mean!? fuck you bitch! your the one who tried to fuck him! I call that unpredictable!-" she was cut off.
"Shut up bitch!" Kagura screamed, "I know you want him! ever since you tried to fuck him, I knew it.......don't tell me what to think......you hurt me.....and now it's your turn to feel the pain I felt, the pain I was forced to be drowned in..." Kagura took out a feather and flew off.
"Fuck you..." Kasuga stuck her middle finger at the sorceress flying away, "I don't like him, I refuse to like him, no! fuck this!"

"He's mine!" Kikyo shot her arrow at Kagome, but Kagome blocked it with all her energy she had, there was a spirit barrier glowing blue around her, "I won't fail...he's mine bitch! and he dies with me!" Kikyo's anger made her sacred arrows more powerful than before, "Die!" she shot the second arrow, Kagome had no more energy left in her.
"Oh no you don't!!" Inu Yasha yelled swinging his Tetsuisaga, his powerful blow matched Kikyo's powerful sacred arrow, both were ambitious, both hated each other now.
"I don't want to kill you Inu Yasha! I will kill her! and you WILL go to hell with me!" Kikyo drew another arrow.
"Shut up!" Inu Yasha swung his big sword and once again it blocked Kikyo's attack. But this time, Kikyo was faster, she drew her fourth arrow in an instant aiming for Kagome, the arrow came fast, Inu Yasha couldn't react, he was still in mid-swing of his Tetsuisaga. Kagome covered her eyes and crouched, the arrow was heading staight for her....

......She felt nothing strike her.....Kagome hesitantly opened her eyes wondering if she was in heaven or hell, neither.
There, stood Inu Yasha, who felll on his knees, and dropped backwards on Kagome, "Inu Yasha?" she whispered gentally. His eyes were half open looking up at her, she embraced his chest, but she felt a heavy layer of liquid on her fingers, the a shaft......it was Kikyo's arrow that pierced though his heart. Kagome stared at the blood on his chest oozing out, some tears were forced out of her eyes, she looked back at Kikyo.
Kikyo dropped her bow and arrow looking at her hands in disbelief, she was just as shocked as Kagome was, "....How.....could I.......?......"
Kagome bit her lip and held onto Inu Yasha tighter, his lifeless body was still warm, "....Are you satisfied....." her words droned.
".Nani...?...." Kikyo said.
"Are....you.......satisfied.....?......." Kagome tried to say without the hoarse tone, "...he's dead............you killed...him....."
".....no....."
"You.......killed him......" Kagome repeated.
"..no....no....."
"....You...killed....Inu Yasha......." tears dropped violently.
"NO!" Kikyo screamed covering her ears, "I don't have to hear this!!" she refused the truth, soul collectors gathered around Kikyo and she disappeared.
Kagome shook Inu Yasha, "..Inu Yasha....why..did you have to protect me...?.........and your...dead now....." she buried her face in his silver hair.
......*cough...cough...*........
"..........Kag-Kagome............." he mumbled weakly coughing up blood.
Kagome quickly reacted, "Inu Yasha! your alive! hurry! Kaede might be able-"
"No.....no.......................Kagome?...."
"Yes?" she held onto his hand, "I'm here, what is it?" a tear dropped onto his cheek.
"Feh.......your crying.......for....me.......you always cry.......for me....."
"Of course.........Inu Yasha when we first met I hated you for trying to kill me.......but I love you.....I hid it from everyone....even myself..."
"I know.........I did too...............Kikyo around........I didn't know what I was feeling....you...or her......she confused me using our past......I love you Kagome.......and now.....I can die happy........knowing that I had you...once in my life as mine..........."
"No! Inu Yasha!! You must stay alive! for me! for us!!"
"no.......this way...you'll go back to your time.....and never come back here again......no more demons...no more Naraku.....no more.....jewel.......your going to be free Kagome.....free from......the past........."
"NO! NO I'm not!! I will never be free without you!"
"...your.....free.........." Inu Yasha closed his eyes, "..I.....love you...Kagome......don't..forget........about.....our........child.......... ......"
"Inu Yasha!! no!!!! don't leave me!!" Kagome burst into tears and held him like it was much more then her life, "Don't......please.....you can't......." but Kagome was too late.......Inu Yasha was dead.......Kagome was alone.......and Kikyo was gone..........
