Chapter Four: Dirty Tricks

 

 

 

“Don't kill her Inuyasha!”

 

 

“Come on Kagome. Do you think I would?”

 

 

“Do you really want an honest answer?”

 

 

“Keh.”

 

 

Kagome and Inuyasha stood in the middle of the shrine courtyard, waiting for Lokelani to change into something more suitable for fighting in. Mrs. Higurashi, Souta, and Grandpa waited for the fight to begin from just outside of the house, where they dubbed it to be safe to watch the event. What they were watching at the moment was a growing argument between Inuyasha and Kagome. The three waited with avid interest for the shouting to start, so they could hear as well.

 

 

“Dammit Kagome! I am not that heartless!”

 

 

“You can be! I don't want my cousin hurt!”

 

 

“Then you should have asked her not to fight me!”

 

 

“I can make up my own mind” came a dry voice from behind them.

 

 

Kagome and Inuyasha turned to reply, but just ended up staring. Lokelani had drawn her long tresses into a high ponytail. She wore black pants that were tight at the waist and ankles, but baggy in the legs. The waistband was curved well below her belly button, decorated with a wide design. The design was a thin golden rope shaped into many loops and knots. The same design was found on the pant cuffs. The shirt she wore mimicked the pant's design. It was tight under her breasts, scooped dangerously low in the neckline, and bunched between her breasts. She wore no shoes.

 

 

It was her weapon that drew even more attention. Just over six feet in length, Lokelani's weapon was basically a four-foot staff with a two-foot blade upon it. The blade had a wicked curve upon it, which glinted with its deadly sharpness. The staff was black lacquered wood, with a gold ring upon the opposite end. A thin line of looping gold circled the staff, ending in a rose shaped blood cup.

 

 

“Back out now wench.”

 

 

“I don't think so, dog-boy. Me and my Pudao aren't backing out.” came the hissed reply.

 

 

“Okay guys, lets set some rules-“ Mrs. Higurashi started, but what stopped as Inuyasha drew the Tetsusagia.

“Not killing her, and no Wind Scar is enough.” he'd growl, before hoisting Tetsusagia over his shoulder and running at Lokelani.

 

 

Lips curled slightly, she'd duck into the splits, seconds before the Tetsusagia sliced the air over her head. She'd rapidly thrust the ringed end of her Pudao at Inuyasha. Right into the side of his knee. Growling a short curse, he'd swing the Tetsusagia downwards at Lokelani, his reward a scream from Kagome as he left a long ribbon of blood down Lokelani's back.

 

 

“You bastard!” Lokelani cried, flipping to her feet with a graceful switch to the bladed end. As Inuyasha drew back for another downward swing, Lokelani rolled and at the same time sliced the front of Inuyasha's hoari, leaving a bloody trail along his stomach.

 

 

“Bitch!”

 

 

“Bastard!”

 

 

Wearily the two circled, each gaining small victories over the other. Even to Kagome the scent of blood was heavy in the air, it was all she could do not to say “it” to stop the fighting, which grew more ruthless with each passing moment. She winced as Lokelani left a thick gash on Inuyasha's cheek, and then almost screamed as the Tetsusagia left an even bigger gash on Lokelani's arm. With each passing moment, the two combatants kicked up a cloud of dust that grew more dense, until they weren't seen at all.

 

 

“Inuyasha....? Lokelani....?” Mrs. Higurashi called out.

 

 

Gasps echoed from the four onlookers as the wind blew away the dust, revealing the outcome of the battle. Tetsusagia's tip was pointed to Lokelani's throat, with Inuyasha holding the girl with one arm. Lokelani had her body twisted, with her behind very close to a certain hanyou's hand. Her Pudao was positioned at his stomach, a half inch into the bared skin.

 

 

“Give it up, dog-boy!”

 

 

“Forget it, wench.”

 

 

Kagome watched, torn behind laughter and horror, as Inuyasha flat out grabbed Lokelani's behind in his hand and rubbed. She watched her cousin squeal, and start to turn. Just as Souta and Kagome called out in warning, Lokelani's foot caught on her own weapon, and with a sharp twist, the girl found herself face first on the ground. Inuyasha's mocking laughter caused the girl on the ground to turn to watch him sharply. Golden orbs stared triumphantly into smoky orbs, as the Tetsusagia was once again brought to her throat.

 

 

“Inuyasha!!! Siiiit!”

 

 

It was Inuyasha's turn to eat dirt.
