InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ Destiny can be a well ❯ Awake and dreaming ( Chapter 4 )

Hey I'm back on my normal schedule! I * really * don't want to type about my trip to my aunts right now but if you wanna know go to my other story `something to be proud' on chapter 12's author's notes will tell you! I probably gonna be typing a little slower for the next week!

I did another * really * stupid thing. I was on my skate board being a idiot proving that it's not hard to ride a skate bord to my friend and guess what?

I put my hind foot back to far on the skate board when I wasn't paying attention and I come crashing down. I landed on my elbow really hard. I can't move it anymore. I think I chipped a bone. It hurts to type with this hand so basically I'm typing with one hand! And it * really * hurts. Wish me to get better so I can be in less pain and type faster!

I just came back from my family picnic that we have every year. Though last year we didn't do it cuz' my grampa died a few days before. He was very sick. He had cancer. I'm always sorta sad this time of year cuz' of him. I really miss him.

I really appreciate your review please review I feel better about writing and I'll update this story faster! I've already been on my knees begging for reviews so here's the chapter.

~*~*~*~ Chapter 4: Awake and dreaming ~*~*~*~

.:;~* Inuyasha's POV *~;:.

There she was breathing, smiling, laughing without worry for the first time for the past 3 years. Naraku was dead and we still hadn't figured out the power that Kagome had when she killed Naraku. And it's perfectly fine that way. I wouldn't have it any other way. Nothing else has happened to her since so I don't think she's in anymore danger.

I love her. I love the way things are going now. We're closer than we ever were. I don't think I've ever been happier. Especially with a women. You can still catch Kagome with the odd limp but otherwise than that she's almost better. Then I get my chance…

"Inuyasha S-L-E-E-P!" Kagome cried in frustration.

"I will okay!" I replied irritated. I looked around the room from my sitting position. Kagome laid next to me. I knew all she wanted was me to lye down beside in her sleeping bag so she could hold me. That's what we've been doing for the past few nights. She loves to cuddle into me. Though she couldn't do that when I was sitting up.

"Inuyasha please…" Kagome whimpered weakly playing with her bubbly eyes. I just smile and laid down facing her. She smiled back then pulling her body closer to mine. I wrap my strong arms around her still limp body.

"Thank you Inuyasha!" Kagome mumbled into my Kimono.

"Your welcome. Good night." I replied resting my head on top of hers.

"Night!" She responded quickly. Silence fell over us as the night darkness blinded us. Kagome breathing slowly steadied as she fell into her slumber.

Kagome's peaceful, gentle slumber. Full her minds wildest imagination. An hour of starring at my loves motionless body had gone by with a blink of an eye. I was awake as ever. And my sweet Kagome was---

Kagome's body filled with coldness against my grasp. I quickly let go in fear. What was going on? What was happening to my Kagome? The tips of her ebony hair turning a pale death white. I pull Kagome's cold body into my lap as I watch her breathing stop. She was-she was-dying!

"Kagome wake up please!" I cried desperately shaking the still cold body. Her eyes shut open the same pale deadly white that they were when she killed Naraku. What's happening? My body jolts at an electric surge that coursed through my body. Kagome's body brakes free of my grasp as it starts to rise into the air.

I sit up again from my fallen position and reach out to Kagome. I place my hand on her arm and let go as I feel the same shock course through my body again. Her body straightened in the air making her eyes been with more light than ever before. Her skirt frills out at the energy sweeping up her body.

Kagome hair flying back, ears glowing a diamond, crystal light and hair whitening at the tips opens her mouth. Her body almost seems to almost be in a trance.

"Inuyasha!" She called out with almost a second voice combined with her normal one.

"Kagome snap out of it!" I cried standing to the superior being before me.

"When tears brake the earth will shake
When hearts pound trees will hit the ground
When eyes glow things will tow
The twisted toughs I speak will guide you.
The protection or light will hide you.
But until Midoriko's truths is found.
Your love will continue to disappear." The voice explained puzzling me. It was clearly not Kagome.

"Where's my Kagome!" I growled scowling at the being.

"Dreams work is funny ways don't they? One minute your safe in your body the next you soul is being kept in a cage of darkness while your body is being used as a message board." The being smirked.

"Who the hell are you?" I snapped.

"I am Kagome though I'm not the weak Kagome." The girl exclaimed.

"What the hell are you talking about?" I fumed.

"I must go, remember her and my fate depend on you." The being said in a voice I know that I can never forget. I still here it now. With finale voice the ghostly pale light beaming from my love disappeared leaving her sleeping body tumbling to the ground. I rush under Kagome just in time to catch her. Her face full of sweat and pain. Her hair, like a midnight storm.

"Kagome wake up." I whimpered into Kagome's hair. Kagome squints her eyes then fluttered them open trying to focus on me.

"Inu-Inu-Inuyasha…" Kagome mumbled. The collapsed into my Kimono crying. I know however much I want her to stop I must let her cry.

"Kagome--!" I tried to speak but am cut off.

"Please I don't to be reminded just don't speak." She hushed tightly grasping me as I wrap my firm grip around her.

"I'm worried Inuyasha she hasn't said a word since yesterday. What happened?" Sango questioned.

"Sango's right. Kagome seems so frightened of everything!" Shippo exclaimed. Miroku, Sango, Shippo and I stand outside of the hut we are currently staying in. The warm suns ray stroke down our backs.

"You need to go ask her what happened. I know you were there but something happened that you couldn't see!" Miroku insisted.

"Would you guy stop pushing me! Damnit shouldn't we let Kagome have some time to herself!" I protested extremely frustrated from their nagging. I stormed of into the hut where Kagome was resting. I love Kagome and she loves me but she is scared and doesn't want to be reminded of what happened that night. It would just be cruel to ask her now. I need to wait until she's ready.

"Kagome…"I whimpered sitting next to her sleeping form. She flutters her eye as her face glows with a radiant smile.

"Inuyasha I'm-I'm ready…" She mumbled to me.

"Ready for what?" I asked quietly.

"Ready to tell you what happened. I'm not scared any more." She explained subtly.

"Wh-What?" I cocked slightly confused by her actions. She sits up and puts her arms around me as she lowers her head on my shoulder. As an insinctive action I wrap my arms around her.

"Midoriko isn't trying to kill me. She want me to live but she must find a way to get the truth out." Kagome explained looking deeply into my eyes.

"Get what truth? Midoriko?" I questioned keeping my face in the same loving position. Kagome looked away.

"I'm not only Kikyo's rencarnation. I'm Midoriko's reincarnation too." She explained.

"You- you're saying that Kikyo is Midoriko's reincarnation?" I asked once again locking eyes with Kagome.

"No no no!" Kagome sighed playfully.

"Do you remember kanna's mirror?" Kagome cocked. I nodded.

"The reason Kanna couldn't have all my soul is because I have two souls. When I fought and killed Naraku Midoriko's soul took over. Meaning I'm the reincarnation of Midoriko but when I'm like this I'm the reincarnation of Kikyo." Kagome explained rubbing her head against my neck. I nuzzled her in response.

"I see but what does it mean? What do you have to do?" I asked seriously.

"I have to over come both Midoriko's and Kikyo's soul and learn how to use them both before Naraku comes back to life." She responded. I quickly pulled my head away from Kagome.

"Naraku! He's coming back to life?" I questioned in shock.

"Yes… " She mumbled back.

"How can you learn how to use both souls?" I questioned resting my head back on Kagome's.

"Sesshoumaru." She replied blankly.

"I must defeat Sesshoumaru. She said that would teach me how to use both powers. And I must do it alone or else I'll die." She repeated ignoring the stone cold face I was in.

"You can't beat him die…" I protested scared for my loves future.

"I must…" She responded. That was last word she said for the rest of the day.

Hope that wasn't too bad? I have more still up in my brain so don't stop reading. I haven't much to say right now but my chipped arm still hurts like hell and I can hear my brother pressing the microwaves buttons. So yea!
