All right I'm back and today I'm having… HORRIBLE TERRIBLE TROUBLES WITH TYPING! First of all I can't seem to spell anything right and have to keep going to spell check and second of all I'm having pain in my arm! Though it's feeling better. I'm still having a hell of a hard time typing but it's getting better!

A wanna thank the people that R&R almost * ALL * my chapters! I really depend on people like that to keep me going! I'm not the greatest writer and I don't blame people for not praising me or loving the story but to people who like the story you're the people who keep me going! Thank you! If I could I would write a whole 10 pages to you guy but my vocabulary ain't that advanced and I don't have time so I dedicate this chapter to you guys! ^-^ Thank you again!

My injuries were gone and I felt all around better after telling Inuyasha what had happened to me. It had been about a week now since that and things were starting to get back to normal. Well as normal as they could get for me. I knew I had to still defeat Sesshoumaru but I wanted to wait. I needed to see my family so bad. The only problem with defeating Sesshoumaru was finding him. Though I could tell Inuyasha didn't want me to have anything to do with him. Oh well…

The sun was setting illuminating the grounds we were camping out on. I knew I still had more things to do here in the federal era but what would happen after that? I know Inuyasha loves me and I love him but what would that do. Young love can't stop time. Somewhere deep inside of me I knew this wasn't just young foolish love this was true everlasting love. Though I had to find where that feeling was coming from.

"Kagome! Hello? You in there wench?" Inuyasha questioned rudely.

"Yea sorry just thinking!" I replied. I wasn't upset about the comment. He was just being himself.

"What you thinking about?" He asked starring out into the lake. The forest surrounded us as we sat at the edge of a lake.

"Oh nothing…" I replied shaking the crazy thoughts out of my mind.

"Why?" I cocked looking at the reflection of Inuyasha in the water.

"I was thinking… about… something for a while… but I was waiting until you got better." He mumbled blush rising to his cheeks. He suddenly stud up.

"Come with me." He ordered pulling me up onto my feet.

"Where are we going?" I asked as he pulled me into the woods. We would be miles away from camp at Inuyasha's speed.

"Stop asking questions wench you'll see!" Exclaimed the hanyou lifting me on his back speeding through the forest.

"Fine…" I agreed irritated by his action. If we were out late I hope Sango, Miroku and Shippo wouldn't mind. I'm sure they saw us leave.

"The evening sun creaked through the openings of the canopy. The light bent the colours of Inuyasha's hair making it seem more multi tonal than before. His eye matched the suns rays making him look like the suns child. His ears twitched as the forest blurred before us. He suddenly hurtled to a stop.

"Do think we're far enough?" Inuyasha suddenly questioned.

"F-Far enough?" I choked on air.

"Yea do you think they'll hear us?" Inuyasha asked dropping me off his back.

"Inuyasha they would be able to hear us 3 miles back!" I exclaimed in frustration.

"Good!" He replied then started walking again.

"Hey wait up!" I whined.


We had been walking for a few minutes with random conversation. I was still trying to figure out why Inuyasha had dragged me back here. I mean I couldn't think of any * reasonable * explanation to drag me out here unless he though this was his way of a practical joke. I don't think Inuyasha would do that to me. Then a random question popped into my mind. One guided by random thoughts. One that had been troubling me for a while.

"Inuyasha the day after we defeated Naraku you were talking to Sango." I started.

"Umm... Yea…" Inuyasha stuttered looking like he was going to hurl. That wasn't like Inuyasha at all. He usually has so much pride and even if he does feel guilty he'd never show it.

"You were talking to Sango about asking some one something. Who was some one and what were you planing to ask." I asked eyeing the guilty hanyou.

"Umm… that some one uh…" Inuyasha tried to say.

"Not that it is any of my business! If you don't want to answer then you don't have to!" I exclaimed to not wanting to enrage the hanyou.

"No it is your business." Inuyasha said smoothly. It was the smoothest thing he said in the last minute.

"I don't understand…" I mumbled as Inuyasha sat against a large tree. I mimicked him.

"It has everything to do with you and I'm only holding it off." He explained looking everywhere else but at me. He wasn't going to send me home! He wasn't going to go with Kikyo! No! Inuyasha you're with me you love me!

"Wh-what are you holding off?" I whimpered tears ready to fall every second.

"I love you more than anything in the world eventually you're gonna go back to your time and stay there forever." Inuyasha stated emotionlessly.

"I can't go back. I can't leave you." I mumbled as a hot silent tear trickled down my face.

"Neither can I… that why I want you to be my mate…" Inuyasha finally said looking at my face.

"…"

"…" Inuyasha waited for my response.

"I don't understand… What's a mate? I've never heard that term before. I'm sorry…" I questioned looking deeply in Inuyasha's eyes.

"In your time they marry people right?" he asked dully. I nodded eagerly now starting to get the idea.

" Demons in this time…They mate. They don't marry. It's against the laws of anyone with demon blood in there selves. They mate." Inuyasha explained feeling a little embarrassed. A warm smile rose onto my face. I leaped into Inuyasha wrapping my arms around him tightly.

"Yes I'll be your mate now and forever!" I cried into Inuyasha's Kimono. Minutes past but they felt like only seconds. Time seemed to stop as I held onto my future mate. I question arose in my mind. How do we exactly become mates? I would do anything to be that but I wonder what we have to do.

"Inuyasha?" I mumbled face still squished against his body.

"Yes?" he cocked lifting my head out of his chest.

"How do we umm… become mates?" I questioned still remaining as close as possible. Inuyasha face flamed magenta as soon as he realized what I just asked.

"We umm… have to umm…you umm know we have to--" He cut him self off knowing I got the point.

"Yes." I replied giving he magenta face a devilish grin. He moved forward kissing me gently and that's all I have to say.

Do I need to say more?


"Where are those to?" Sango exclaimed pacing back and forth as Inuyasha and I watched from the bushes.

"I can't believe they would just leave with out even giving us a hit to where they were going!" Shippo cried in frustration.

"Didn't we leave a big enough clue of the sounds last night!" Inuyasha smirked into my ear. I giggled as a faint blush crossed my face.

"I have a feeling what those two were doing!" Miroku smirked. Inuyasha and I immediately deepened our blush tint from pale pink to magenta.

"Houshi!" Cried Sango whacking Miroku on the head.

"You better not act like this when the baby comes." She growled. I laughed at the stupidity. For one the monk was right. As much as we hated to admit it. Sango's stomach had already started to grow proving something was in there.

Inuyasha firmly wrapped his arm around my waste protectively. I stud out and walked out of the bushes we were hiding in.

"KAGOME!" Shippo exclaimed jumping into my arms.

"You smell funny!" He inquired as Inuyasha and I tried to hide the blush.

"So there you guys are! We were so worried." Sango said wrapping her arms around me or the best could with her rounded stomach and a Shippo hanging off of me.

"I though you guys heard us call when we said… umm… that we…" I stuttered.

"That we were going to see if we could find another stream connected to this lake." My mate finished intelligently.

"I stream?" I whispered in utterly dumfounded into my mate's ear.

"It works okay! It's hard to think on your feet!" My mate hissed back. Sango and Miroku looked at us in disbelief as Shippo shrugged his shoulders and skipped of to the fireplace.

"Alright then we should get moving!" I exclaimed.

"Kagome right we still haven't completed the jewel and that means the few shards out there will be hard to find." Miroku agreed.

"Thank you god! I couldn't pull this off without you!" I sighed under my breath as we continued with our average day.



I hope that wasn't a cliffhanger! I'm really sorry if it is. I seem to be putting to many of those in this story. Oh well its not like I never update after that. So you can't blame me.

Were getting more into the plot next chapter and this whole 2-soul thing will be a little clearer if you didn't understand. I'm really surprised how fast my arms healing. I was well enough yesterday that I managed to do cheerleading and at that I managed to get in the front of the dance routine! Yeah! I love being in the front!
