She removed her glasses and tried to balance her books as she opened her rusty old locker. Surprise hit her face when she found two pieces of paper inside her locker, one with her name and the other with her best friend's. Curiously, she grabbed them and placed them in her pocket before she placed the books inside the locker. She pulled them up from her pocket as closed it. She maneuvered her way to the cafeteria as she reread the note she had found in her locker. Soon, she found her friend at their usual table and sat next to her as she smiled with some excitement.

“What's that Kagome?” her friend asked, trying to take a look at the note she held.

“Kagome Higurashi, you're invited to my 18th party tonight… hope you can make it.” she read and Sango gasped.

“Are you serious? Who sends it?” she asked excited and she squealed in excitement.

“I'll give you a hint… he's like a dream.” Kagome said in response and Sango's eyes widened.

“You mean…” Kagome nodded excitedly and they both squealed, the whole cafeteria turned to look at them and they calmed down.

“So what? Are you going?” Sango asked.

“No, we are going.” Kagome gave her the other invitation and the girl squealed some more. “This is so exciting! Our first party… you don't think they would do to us something like Carrie… right?”

“I don't know… but I honestly don't care! It's a party!” Kagome laughed a little and Sango squealed again. “What are we going to say to our parents?”

“Oh, I don't have a problem… my mom and my brother are going to visit grandpa for the weekend and since I have to study for Monday's test they decided to let me stay at home.” Kagome said as she stole some of Sango's juice.

“Alright, then I'll tell my parent's I'm gonna stay tonight at your house and that's it!” they girls smiled and soon heard the bell.

“Oops, I have a test right now… call me before you come to my house `cause today I have to be at the math club.” Kagome said.

“Oh, don't worry… I was about to say the same since I have the debate club…” Sango looked at her watch. “I'm getting late to class… see you later Kagome!”

Kagome waved at her friend as she ran to her locker to get to her chemistry class, being number one required sacrifices and lots of work. Just like Kagome, Sango was a very good student whose hopes included getting into the best college her parents could afford. Kagome was searching the same in her life, getting in to a nice university to fulfill her studies and at the end find a good job. She saw the teacher about to close the door so she hurried towards her class.

“Kagome! C'mon! I'm bored down here!” Sango yelled and the dark haired girl looked downstairs to her friend.

“Sorry! Just a few more minutes! I swear it won't take more!” she yelled back and Sango sighed annoyed.

“Alright.” Sango sighed drearily.

She stared at her beautiful fake gold bathed watch, their time out was running out and here they were still inside missing all the fun. Tonight was the only party they had ever had, at 16 they were supposed to have many friends but they had few due to their good grades and hard long nights of study. Sango looked at her clothing again, she wanted to prove everyone that she was able to have fun, she wanted them to know that she was more than the nerdy girl everyone thought she was. She had Capri jeans and a red tank top with low red heels; finally her best and only friend came from her room.

“So… how do I look?” Kagome asked and Sango traveled her eyes up and down her body.

“Good enough like to go to a party!” she answered back, her friend was wearing a turquoise mermaid skirt and a white topless shirt.

They girls squealed excited as they made their way through their big city, bright lights ruled at night and tall large buildings decorated their black sky along with a few sparkling spots on the atmosphere that used to be known as stars. The two friends got to the apartment of the guy they considered the cutest guy of their school. They were finally able to do what they had been missing for almost 3 years. As they made their way in some people looked back at them, they were amazed and soon the owner of the party showed up.

“Kagome… so nice you could made it, hey Sango.” He greeted as he pushed back his long dark hair, he flashed them a look with his piercing blue eyes. Unconsciously, Kagome blushed lightly.

“Thanks for inviting me Kouga.” She decided to say, he grabbed her hand and pulled her out to the dance floor, Kouga grabbed her by her hips and she looked back at her friend.

“What about Sango?” Kagome asked concerned.

“Don't worry,” He said with a smile, he looked back at one of his friends and gestured with his head at Sango.

“Sango, do you want to dance?” A guy asked, his hair was long enough to be pulled into a pony tail. Sango gulped and nodded excitedly.

“Sure Miroku!” she went to the dance floor with him and looked at her friend carefully.

“Kagome… have I ever told you that you are amazingly beautiful?” Kouga said as he traveled his eyes up and down her body, Kagome smiled nervously.

“No, but I think you know how handsome you are already… I think the same.” she admitted as she let her cheeks become pink again, he smiled.

“You have been my eye candy for a long time… but I never said it because I never found the perfect chance. This might be it, don't you agree?” he asked and moved closer, Kagome pulled away a little.

“I… guess…”

Kagome was a bit surprised by his actions; she had always wondered what it felt like to have someone else's lips on top of hers. Trying to figure out what kind of reaction it made when they sweetly made their way upon her tongue. She was always curious of how a kiss felt since she had never had the chance to figure it out herself. Kagome took a deep breath and he pulled away again, realizing how uncomfortable he was making her feel.

“Don't be scared Kagome, I won't bite…” he smiled, Kagome nodded and relaxed. `Unless you ask me to…' he thought and hid his smirk. “Would you like to go somewhere more private? I want to speak to you, alone.”

Kagome nodded a little nervous and she looked back at her friend who gave her two thumps up. She waved at her; Kouga grabbed her hand and slowly carried her with him to talk far away from the crowded noises that surrounded his party.

Once he shut the door and turned on the lights, Kagome realized that she was in his room; she looked everywhere and was still amazed by the view he had from his bedroom. She could see the whole city through his window; she soon felt his hand on her shoulder which made her jump a bit startled. Kagome smiled nervous and embarrassed, he simply returned the smile as she tried unsuccessfully not to blush. The loud music that was about to break her ears a few minutes ago was almost mute as the door interfered its way into the room. Kagome turned to look at the window to watch the city lights once again; it was a pretty sight for anyone who appreciated heights.

“Like it?” he asked, Kagome turned to look at him and nodded.

“Yeah, it's an amazing sight.” Kouga placed one of his arms around her, Kagome quickly moved away before he could corner her. “I wish I could have a window like this one.”

Kouga smiled before walking towards were she was standing. His eyes narrowed to her chest, he noticed a very weird but nice necklace hanging on top of her chest. He touched lightly and she got a little scared, he gave her another smile to which Kagome relaxed, he looked at it closely.

“Nice necklace,” he complimented.

“Thanks, it belonged to my grandmother and then she gave it to my father…he died a few years ago and it has a very valuable meaning.” Kagome said as a saddened smile made upon her lips, the memory of her father always made her lips curl like that.

“I'm very sorry about it.” he hugged her, Kagome took it as comfort and hugged him but then she clearly understood his actions when she felt his hands sliding down from her back towards her ass.

“Kouga, stop…” Kagome said and giggled a little uncomfortable. Being this close to him, she could feel a weird scent in her nose, it was alcohol.

“What babe? I thought you liked me…” she pulled apart slowly, not trying to enrage him. Kouga just tried to get closer to her again.

“I do but I do not want to be with while you are… you are…”

“Drunk?” he helped and she nodded.

“Exactly.” Kagome said as she kept her voice cool, Kouga smiled.

“Listen babe, I'm not drunk… yeah, I might have had a few drinks before but I'm okay… don't you worry, now come here…”

Kouga quickly grabbed her arm and pulled her closer to him. He was moving his face towards her, Kagome wasn't happy that this was the way her first kiss will end up. She quickly pulled away her arm and walked towards his desk, she was about to hit her head with a huge shelf on top of her. Kouga simply smiled and got next to her but she immediately reached for the door.

“Kouga… I really like you but I don't think we should do anything tonight, maybe some other time.” Kagome said as she turned the knob around, she realized the door was locked.

“We are going to have lots of fun Kagome.” Kouga grinned and Kagome gulped nervously.

Kouga got closer to her, she was cornered under the shelf and she could smell his awful alcohol breath hitting her as he moved closer. Kagome tried to pull away but soon her back met the wall and there was nowhere else to escape, if her first kiss was going to be this she was sure she was going to remember it but in a bad way. Kouga's lips were mere inches away from hers when she saw him fall on the floor, Kagome was thankful that something had fell from the shelf. She thanked god for saving her and grabbed the key Kouga had in his keychain. She didn't even bother on looking for Sango, Kagome ran out of his place ready to go back home.

He threw the cigarette he had in his mouth to the floor and crushed it with his left foot. Every night was the same; he looked for a lonely girl and followed her till they were both in a dark place, took her money and left as he heard mournful sobs coming from her. It was the same every night, the regret he once felt was now a glimpse of fear of getting caught and tonight was no different. It was very late and he hadn't found his victim yet. `Guess that they are already warned about this place…' he thought and sighed. He looked down at his watch to reveal that it was midnight and he still didn't have money, he knew he should find someone fast before anyone could see him as a criminal. He shoved some of his silver hair back and looked around, finally he saw a girl.

“Show time…” he mumbled with a grin and followed her.

The silver haired man walked behind her five feet behind to avoid any type of alert; he was always this calmed; he was never on a rush and neither were his victims. He was very cautious on whom he picked, girls mainly because they were defenseless. The girl obviously didn't realize she was being followed; she was too busy looking up at the sky. He looked at her with his golden orbs attentively; she sat for a few seconds in the edge of the sidewalk as she sighed heavily. Of course he could go and find someone else to rob but it would take him more time and it was already midnight, cops usually showed up at 1 am. The raven haired girl finally got up and walked again, he got out a cigarette and went smoking it as he followed her.

“Fuck… this bitch is going carefully.” he mumbled to himself as they walked in the most crowed place of the city, the place where cops were most attentive.

The girl with a turquoise skirt then took a turn into a dark alley to go to wherever she was going, Inuyasha smirked, and it was time to make his move. As the girl deepened in the alley he walked faster and soon grabbed her from behind, covering her mouth to avoid her from screaming.

“Give me your money and nothing bad will happen, don't you dare to scream.” he threatened in a whisper, she nodded.

Shivering, she introduced her hand inside of her pocket taking out 100 dollars her mom had given her for the weekend. Kagome tried not to cry badly but some sobs escaped her mouth as the guy who just robbed her counted her money. He threw her down to the floor and stared at her as she sobbed, usually he would leave now and the girls would be screaming for help but this girl just watched him as if she was still waiting for him to do something else.

“I'm not gonna rape you…” he said and she panted.

“I hope so…” she whispered and he bent, he placed his hand on her chest and grabbed the big necklace she had hanging on her neck.

“Nice, I bet this is worth a ton.” he pulled it off her neck and placed it on his pocket, he was walking away when he felt a hand around his arm.

“Don't please… that's the only thing I have…” she pleaded and he raised an eye brow.

“Liar, I just took 100 dollars… what do you care about this stupid thing? I bet you could buy another one just like it.” she was speechless and let a few tears roll down her face.

“My father gave it to me… it might be worth a lot of money for you but for me it has another meaning, it has a very special meaning… please… I'm begging you… don't take it.” she pleaded softly as she cried; he looked at her puzzled.

Something hit his heart; it was a different feeling for him. He was used to feel betrayal; jealousy, hate, anger but what he was feeling at the moment was nothing like it. He actually felt bad and believed her, after a long time of staring at her with his ocher round eyes; he shook his head and scoffed.

“Whatever…” he mumbled and walked, Kagome kept there crying when she heard something hit the floor.

Through her tears, she saw a round pearl with a thick chain around it. She cleaned them away to clearly see what was in front of her and found her necklace. Kagome stopped sobbing and grabbed it before breathing a relieved sigh. She pressed the necklace harshly against her chest as calmness washed through her body, quickly Kagome got the necklace to where it belonged and stood up. She cleaned her tears and walked home, she would leave her key out for Sango and she would got to sleep. Kagome couldn't push him away from her thoughts; her thief was still in her mind. She smiled before she touched her necklace. `If he let me have my necklace then… he must have a heart in him after all…' she thought as she entered her house to finally feel safe.
