They got out of the car and in front them, they saw a big silver building, Kagome looked up at it and it seemed it never ended. Kikyo got out of her car along with the driver and entered followed by Kagome and Inuyasha, she looked at the place which looked like a normal office, they immediately went to the elevator and directed to the highest level in there which was floor 78. The doors opened and revealed a wooden room with white walls and black furniture. Kikyo pointed at a room and Inuyasha went inside it, Kagome was about to follow when the door closed right on her face.

 

“You're not allowed inside…” Kikyo said and went over to a small table; she pulled out a small clear bag with white powder in it.

 

“When is he coming out?” Kagome asked timidly as she saw her making a line; she rolled a 1 dollar bill and sniffed the cocaine on the table.

 

“In a few minutes or an hour… who knows?” she pinched her nose for a while and then looked up at Kagome. “You want some?”

 

“No thanks, I don't like it” she said trying not to let her know she was frightened.

 

“Have you tried it?” Kagome shook her head and Kikyo laughed. “Then how do you know you don't like it? A line won't hurt…”

 

“Really, it's not necessary” she gave her a fake smile and she shrugged her shoulders.

 

“Suit yourself…”

Inuyasha found his stupid boss sitting in his big snake skin chair as he counted the money and talked on the phone. At the sight of Inuyasha, he whispered some words and ended the call immediately, he placed his cash in his first drawer and locked it up just in case, he pointed at Inuyasha the sit in front of him and he sat.

 

“Why couldn't you just wait till tonight instead of getting your bitch to my work place?” he asked and Naraku chuckled.

 

“An emergency happened and I need the money now… you did bring it, right?” he rolled his eyes.

 

“Yes of course because I like to carry the 1000 dollars that I have to give you everywhere all over town, that's how devoted I am to your calls” he said sarcastically and Naraku chuckled again.

 

Naraku stood up and started smoking, he moved his curtain a little and looked outside to the living room where he spotted Kikyo and another girl next to her, the same traits but something about her was very different, the girl was reading a book and he arched his eye brow, for him finding her reading was very strange, specially for someone of her age.

 

“Your new girl is very different” he said as he went back to his seat, Inuyasha sighed heavily.

 

“She's not my girl…” Naraku directed his gaze to him and smiled.

 

“Then she can be one of my girls…” Inuyasha became furious.

 

“Don't you dare to touch her!” Naraku laughed and he calmed down, he sighed and rubbed his temples. “Just leave her alone, she has nothing to do with this or with us…”

 

“Alright, now about my money…” Inuyasha rolled his eyes. “I'll give you till tonight, but there is something else I need you to do for me… one of the members of the band of seven is going to pick you up, their boss has something for me and I need that immediately”

 

“Can I at least go back to work first?” Naraku looked at him confused.

 

“Here you are, away from that horrible place and you want to go back? What's wrong with you?” he sighed heavily.

 

“Nothing, at what time?” he asked before he could get more interest.

 

“Anytime… like right now for example, the boss will have a package for me and you will bring it back and no peeks” he nodded as he rolled his eyes, he walked out and once he reached the door he heard his annoying voice again. “Oh, and Inuyasha?”

 

“What?” he asked as he looked at the door.

 

“Ask that girl out there if she wants to meet me for a few minutes” Inuyasha grabbed the door knob tightly as he tried to control his anger, he swallowed hard.

 

“She has no interest in you…” he said as he left his office, he went over to the living room and Kikyo smiled at him. “Kagome, let's go”

 

“So soon? I wanted you to stay a bit longer…” Kikyo said seductively as she hooked her arms around his neck.

 

“I gotta run, Kagome…we leave… now” Inuyasha harshly took away Kikyo's arms, Kagome nodded and got up; she gave to Kikyo one last look and walked back to the elevator along with Inuyasha.

 

Inuyasha pressed the button for the main floor; the last thing he saw before the doors closed was Kikyo sending him a kiss. He sighed heavily and waited till his floor number appeared, but his focus was interrupted when he heard Kagome's voice.

 

“She's your ex…” she deduced and he looked at her.

 

“Yeah… for 3 years, I met her one night when…”

 

“You tried to rob her? Like me?” she asked and he sighed. “I understand, was she in previous gang?”

 

“No, Kikyo had troubles all her life… I wasn't her savior but I wasn't her doom either” she nodded and he continued. “She had run away from home and worked at a restaurant… the kind of life I introduced to her was different but she seemed to click, she liked better to be with the people who shared my style of life than with her perfect friends who were studying at college”

 

“Did you give her drugs too?” she asked and he looked at her dazed.

 

“What are you talking about? Kikyo left them when we were dating… was she…?” Kagome shook her head.

 

“No, never mind… I call drug to cigarettes and alcohol, it's just that they are licit but still… I just saw her smoking, don't worry” he looked at her still confused and she looked at her books, they remained in silence after that.

 

Kagome looked at her watch, it was 18 already and she knew Sango would kill her for not being at her house. She tapped her foot against the floor of the elevator until it reached their floor; Inuyasha went out of there first followed by Kagome. He stopped walking once he sensed she was following him again.

 

“Go back to the mechanic, don't follow me because I have some other stuff to do…” he said to her and she frowned.

 

“Like what?”

 

“Stuff that don't concern you, now go” he walked away, once he was three feet away he looked back at her to see her confused. “What?”

 

“I don't know where I am… I think I'll get lost” he sighed.

 

“Fine, I'll take you back to the mechanic and then you'll leave me alone… understood?” she nodded and went by his side. “I don't know how I got into this mess”

 

“I can't believe is already that late…” she mumbled and sighed, she dropped her books and Inuyasha sighed annoyed.

 

“You can't even carry a book…” he said and picked them up, he grabbed them and kept walking.

 

“Thanks for everything” she said and he rolled his eyes, he felt his cheeks a little hot so he just tried not to look at her.

 

After walking for almost an hour, they were 5 blocks away from the mechanic. Inuyasha was a little paranoid since one of the band of seven was supposed to pick him up and he didn't want Kagome to get involved in it again, he felt her hand around his arm and felt his temperament calm down a little. It quickly rose up again when he saw a Hummer stop right in front of him.

 

“Inuyasha?” a big guy with his face tattooed asked, he was fat and red hair, Inuyasha pushed Kagome behind him and she looked at them closely as she held to Inuyasha's shoulders.

 

“I know, you're of the band of seven… just give me a second” he said and he looked at Kagome, she swallowed hard and directed his gaze to Inuyasha.

 

“No time, now” two other guys came out and pushed Inuyasha and Kagome inside the Hummer, they dropped Kagome's books and immediately they left towards the opposite direction from which they left before.

Kagome got out from a very fancy club; she had heard some of the senior girls talk about this place. it was completely dark on the outside except for the blue neon light surrounding the name of the club that said `180o' she wanted to run away and she wanted to take Inuyasha with her but she couldn't since they were both trapped between the fat man they had first encountered and another man with the same kind of tattoo and spiked hair along with a very malicious expression over his face.

 

“Renkotsu is waiting for you inside…” the evil man said to Inuyasha and pushed him harshly over to one door.

 

“What about me?” she whispered and the fat man next to her laughed.

 

“Don't worry darling, you'll be fine right next to me…” he said and Inuyasha quickly pulled her away from them.

 

“If you dare to say or do something like that again… consider yourself dead” Inuyasha warned as he went inside that office.

 

Kagome noticed that it was very different from the outside of the place; it had a more elegant look with ancient Egypt paintings, a big vase with artificial flowers and in the middle of the room there was a desk of golden color with a man sitting on a white rolling chair. He had a bandana covering his head and the same horrid tattoo that she had seen in the two previous men outside. The voice of the man in front of her woke her up from her thoughts.

 

“Inuyasha, right?” he nodded and pointed at Kagome. “And who is she?”

 

“Just a friend, let's get over with this…” he said as he pulled out a cigarette and started smoking it, Kagome instantly started coughing.

 

“Alright, I like to be direct… here you go, no peeks” he warned as he gave him a dark small box.

 

“Like if I cared your stupid drugs…” he mumbled. “Anything else?”

 

“As a matter of fact, yes…you, girl… get over here” she looked at Inuyasha who sighed and nodded, Kagome walked over to his chair and stood away from him a few inches.

 

“What can I do for you?” Kagome asked; Inuyasha didn't take his eyes off of her.

 

“You're very pretty…” he said as he circled her, he touched her hair lightly and moved it away from her neck. “You must have an extraordinary taste…”

 

He moved his mouth closer to Kagome's neck but before he could nibble it, Inuyasha grabbed her by the arm and pulled her into his embrace. Renkotsu smirked as Kagome buried her face into Inuyasha's chest. He gave him a furious look and swallowed hard as he tried not to kill that man. `Fucking idiot… if he wasn't part of the band of seven he would be dead by now for touching Kag… since when do I care for the wench?' he asked himself as he felt Kagome squeezing tightly his T-shirt.

 

“That was it; you may leave with your girlfriend”

 

Inuyasha grabbed Kagome by the hand as he pulled her out of the club, once they were out she started whimpering lowly but enough for Inuyasha to hear it. After a few minutes of that continuous sound, he decided to stop it.

 

“Why the fuck are you whining?!” he asked annoyed and she closed her eyes tightly as she tried to calm down.

 

“I thought… he was going to kiss me…” he arched his brow.

 

“That was it?! I thought it was something more serious…” he mumbled and she looked away as she stopped walking. “Let's go… it's already late” she wasn't moving and he got desperate. “Why are you acting as if you were raped?”

 

“I thought he was going to steal my first kiss… yes, I have never been kissed” he looked at her shocked, she was very pretty, she seemed to be the kind of girl who could get any guy she wanted but she had never kissed before? “I know it's cheesy and very mushy but I want my first kiss to be very special and with a man that I like”

 

He rolled his eyes and sighed; she went next to Inuyasha and hugged him. He never expected that and got surprised, he blushed lightly and before he knew it she pulled apart with a smile.

 

“Thanks for saving my first kiss, you're a very good friend…” he faked a scoff and looked away.

 

“I'm not your friend…” she smiled widely as she giggled a little. “What are you laughing at wench?”

 

“It's funny to see how you try to hide that you like to be my friend” he looked at her a little angry.

 

“That's not true!” he yelled as he walked behind her. “Come back here wench!”

 

“Catch me!” she yelled and started running, Inuyasha didn't know why but he decided to follow her, she entered to the ice cream parlor and he followed in, he looked for her inside but didn't see her, soon he felt someone scaring him and he jumped a little and saw her. “Ha! Got you”

 

“Great, now let's go… I have to give you your damn car” she nodded.

 

“It can wait” she went over to cashier and paid for two ice creams, she gave the ticket to the lady to give her the flavor she desired. “Oreo and cookie dough, your flavor Inuyasha?”

 

“You bought me an ice cream?” she nodded. “I didn't want one”

 

“But I do want to give it to you…” she smiled and he rolled his eyes. “So, your flavor?”

 

“Raspberry and lemon” she smiled and a few seconds later, she gave him his ice cream and they walked out to the mechanic.

 

Finally, they arrived to their desired destination; it wasn't closed since today Myoga was supposed to make the inventory. Kagome followed Inuyasha to her car; she smiled when she saw that the car looked better than new. She touched the front part lightly and looked back at Inuyasha who was looking at the car too.

 

“I've been working on it for a long time so you better not ruin it” she nodded and smiled again.

 

“I can't find the words to tell you how much I'm appreciate it” he looked away and sat with his back faced to her.

 

“It's not like I did it for free…” he felt her hand on his shoulder and he looked at her, she moved closer to him and placed a sweet peck on his left cheek.

 

“I still want you to know how thanked I am…” she smiled and looked at the hour. “Oh! Damn! Kouga is going to kill me…”

 

“What?” he asked and she sighed.

 

“Nothing, I had a date with this guy but… with all these things that happened today I wasn't able to get there… he's gonna be so mad with me on Monday, not to mention what Sango will say!” he rolled his eyes.

 

“Did you pay already for your car?” she shook her head and he chuckled. “Then I guess your car will stay here for another day…”

 

“Can't I take it and pay you tomorrow? I promise I'll stop by… please?” she asked and grabbed his hand, she felt his knuckles rough and noticed that he had them injured. “Oh… what happened to you?”

 

“Nothing wench… now leave because I have some stuff to do…” he looked back at her and sighed. “And you make take the car…”

 

“You're very nice Inuyasha… thanks” she kissed his cheek again and this time he grabbed her hand and pulled her closer to him. “What… are you… doing?” she asked as she saw him moving his face closer to hers.

 

“Have you really never been kissed?” he asked softly and she nodded slowly, she felt her heart beat faster and swallowed hard as she saw him moving closer to her, she closed her eyes to make the moment more special but then nothing happened, she just heard his voice. “That's a shame… you're very pretty like not to be kissed”

 

He let her go after that and she blushed furiously, he smiled at her softly and before he could realize how much Kagome had reddened, she hoped on her car and immediately drove off as she was driving back home just one thought crossed her mind. `I'm glad I didn't have my date with Kouga… because I rather spend time with you Inuyasha' she sighed dreamily as she turned on the radio and sung happily.
