Kagome ran inside her house, how could it be possible that the person who just rescued her is now getting arrested? ‘Could this be something planned by Naraku? Maybe the band of seven did this as some kind of revenge… I have to let my mom…’ her thoughts stopped when she saw her mother with a box of tissues, sitting at the couch with 5 police officers around her. Kagome looked at the scene, her mother had made this call and now the person who had saved her from that living hell was getting punished. Her mother gasped and ran to hug her daughter; however Kagome didn’t return the hug but pushed her mother away from her.

“Are you okay? I was so worried about you…” she said as she tried to hug her again but she just pushed her apart.

“Why did you do that?” Kagome asked and her mother shook her head.

“Do what?”

“You called the police! I just ran away!” her mother shook her head.

“I just wanted to make sure you were okay… that man is now…”

“The man out there is going to jail for a crime he didn’t even commit! Have you lost your mind?!” Kagome yelled and her mother cleaned her tears.

“Go to your room dear, we’ll talk about this tomorrow” she looked at her with hate but went to her room, she was about to jump out from her window like last time but she noticed a couple of police officers out there.

‘Inuyasha… forgive me but I’m not going to be able to help you… I’m so sorry’ she thought as she looked at the men outside her house. She changed her clothes and grabbed her phone; she dialed Inuyasha’s cell phone without having an answer. She felt useless but then heard her cell phone ring; she didn’t even bother in checking the number she just answered.

“Inuyasha?” was the first thing that popped to her mind.

“No sweetheart, it’s me…” she heard Naraku’s voice and she was tempted to hang up but she thought that maybe he could help him. “Where is he anyway?”

“He just got arrested and I was thinking maybe…”

“That I could help him?” he interrupted her, she didn’t even have to say ‘yes’, she heard him laugh. “I’ll help him… but only if you come with me to the police station”

“I can’t… I’m surrounded by police men, my mom called them” she explained.

“Kaoru is still crazy for protecting you, huh?” she was about to ask him how he knew her mother’s name but he interrupted her again. “I’ll handle the officers, you just be ready in 10”

Kagome didn’t know why but she decided to follow his orders, she changed from her pajamas to her previous clothes. 5 minutes after she spoke to him she heard some man grunting. Kagome took her head out the window and saw Naraku standing there with a cigar in his mouth. She wasn’t going to dare to ask him how he managed to defeat 5 guys but just went down the same way she escaped last time. Naraku threw the cigarette and stepped on it the moment her feet touched the ground.

“Let’s go” she heard the beeping of a car alarm and he walked towards a Mercedes.

“That’s… that’s your car?” she asked amazed and he smirked.

“Nice ride isn’t it?” he said, Kagome didn’t mention anything and just hopped in the car to get to see Inuyasha.

Inuyasha was hysterical, what had he done now? To his bad luck, it wasn’t the first time he was in jail or the first time he entered that police station or the first time he encountered that police officer. The man who was in charge of the station was a detective that he knew very well; the first 3 times he had been there he had to talk to him. He was inside his cell, about to smoke a cigarette when he walked next to him and threw it away. Inuyasha looked at him with hate while he opened the cage in which Inuyasha was trapped and tied with him handcuffs; he took him to the interrogation room like always. The man pulled out a tape recorder and begun recording their conversation.

“Why did you kidnap her Inuyasha?” he asked and Inuyasha laughed.

“I’ll give you the same answer I always give you… I didn’t do it” it was the man’s turn to laugh.

“You were caught in the scene, with Miss…” he looked through a folder that contained his life record along with Kagome’s.

“Higurashi Kagome” Inuyasha finished for him and he nodded.

“Right, well… you were caught with her after her mother called about her missing, she clearly stated that Kagome isn’t the type of girl that will run away from home and judging by her grades and her school assistance either it was you who kidnapped her or you who corrupted her” Inuyasha chuckled at his conclusions. “Now, if you confess… you know that maybe the judge will have some compassion and instead of 10 years you will only have 5…”

“Why do you even do this? How come you enjoy making me suffer?” Inuyasha asked and the man arched his brow.

“What do you mean?” he stopped the tape recorder.

“For god sakes Sesshomaru! The only reason you became a cop was because you wanted to get me inside there to make me suffer!” his half brother shook his head.

“No, I became a cop to stop crime… I became a detective to get on your ass and make sure you’re not doing anything” Inuyasha smiled.

“But I know how to get away from you” Sesshomaru smiled too.

“But now that I got you tracked… I doubt you know how to escape this time” Inuyasha’s smile vanished and he crossed his arms.

“Now… I would like to...”

“Sess… the girl is here” another police officer entered the room and Sesshomaru sighed.

“Alright…” he simply smiled. “You’re in trouble now”

“Well see about that” Inuyasha mumbled.

Inuyasha walked next to Sesshomaru and Kagome smiled once she saw he was out of danger. She was about to hug him when Sesshomaru stopped her.

“What do you want Miss Higurashi?” he asked and Kagome shook her head lightly.

“I’m sorry, I just wanted to pay for his fee… and drop all the charges my mother presented against him and I ran away from home… I never got kidnapped” she explained and Sesshomaru looked at her suspiciously.

“And with that money do you plan to do that?” he asked and she pulled out a stash of money, he looked at her amazed.

“I win several contests” she said and smiled lightly.

“Alright, take him…” Sesshomaru said annoyed as he took Inuyasha’s handcuffs, he bent near him and whispered in his ear. “I’m still behind you”

“Whatever Sesshomaru” he walked next to Kagome and took her hand as they walked out the building.

Sun rise was a few hours away; Inuyasha was able to think that way thanks to the light blue color on the sky when at night it should be black. When Inuyasha was finally away from him he let out a relaxed sigh, but his anger came back up when he saw Naraku standing outside the police station.

“What are you doing here?” he asked and he laughed.

“I took your butt out of jail and that’s how you thank me?” Inuyasha looked back at Kagome.

“You called him?!” he half yelled and she sighed.

“If not you would still be in there with that guy…” Kagome looked at him and he sighed.

“Go back home, stay out of trouble” he said and she smiled, she kissed his cheek lightly and walked back to her house.

“I guess you found him again” Naraku broke the silence and followed Inuyasha to wherever he was going.

“Sesshomaru? Of course I found that bastard… he’s always there when I don’t want to see him” Inuyasha said as he tried to get rid of him.

“I wonder why he became a cop, he is rich and he is able to never work in his life and nothing will happen to his fortune”

“I know the reason he works and the reason he picked to be a police man…he wants me behind those bars… it’s his childhood dream” Naraku chuckled.

“Your brother might only be trying to save you… after all, he cares about you a lot” Naraku said as he laughed and Inuyasha walked away from him. “You owe me two! Remember that for the next time I call you!”

“Whatever…” he mumbled and went to his apartment.

Kagome’s mother had gone hysterical when she noticed that she was gone again, she spent her whole week grounded and of course that meant that she wouldn’t be going anywhere besides school. Her mother came for her after school and she didn’t talk to her in their way home. She had also installed in her windows bars to prevent her from running away again. Kagome wasn’t only angry at her mother but was even starting to hate her when she took away her cell phone, computer and forbid her to make phone calls. Kagome destiny was to be with her every weekend. Kagome sighed as she looked out the window, it was Friday night and the only thing she could do was to watch the stars in the dark night through the metal bars installed in her window.

“Hello sweetie… I brought you cookies and milk” her mother entered with a glass of milk and a package of cookies.

“I don’t feel hungry” she answered and her mother sighed.

“Someday you’ll learn that what I’m doing is for your own good…” Kagome grunted and her mother sighed again. “If you behave and promise me you will never see that man again I’ll…”

“What? You’ll let me go to the bathroom alone?” she asked sarcastically and her mother shook her head.

“I was going to say that I will give you back your cell phone” Kagome scoffed.

“Keep it, why would I want it when I can’t even use it? It’s not like I’m going anywhere” her mother smiled sadly.

“Will you feel better if you come with us to visit your aunt this weekend?” she asked and Kagome shook her head.

“No, I will feel better if only you could trust me” her mother sat next to her.

“Sweetie, I want you to learn that I love you too much like to let something happen to you…”

“I can take care of myself, I’m not 5 anymore”her mother tried to kiss her forehead but she just pushed her away. “Mom, please leave”

“Goodnight sweetheart” her mother left her alone and Kagome sighed.

‘I’m never going to see him again… I’ll be trapped in my room till my mother dies and then I’ll be too old like to go anywhere and then I’ll die alone in my room because I went agoraphobic’ she sighed heavily and went to the window to try to break the bars but once again she wasn’t able to do it. ‘Why can’t I go out?! I hate this! I hate everything in this house I hate even my mother! I hate everything!’ she yelled in her mind as she grabbed her chair and threw it towards the window. Kagome saw the bars breaking apart and got scared; if her mother came in she would ground her for another week or even for another month. Kagome didn’t know what to do but finally grabbed the money she had saved for a long time and jumped out the window, she heard her mother go inside the room and shriek. Kagome ran as fast as she could before her mother could see her in there. When she was finally in the city, she breathed normally. Kagome entered to a hotel, she was planning on renting a room for the night and then going to Inuyasha’s workplace to ask him for help. But she wasn’t counting on crashing with him in her way.

“Inu… yasha?” she asked trying to figure out if the man before her was really him.

“Kagome? What the…?”

“What… are you doing here?” she interrupted him; she was amazed to find him in there.

“No, what are you doing here?” he asked and she sighed.

“I ran away from home” his eyes widened.

“What?!”

“I couldn’t handle my mother anymore… I’m kinda sick of her, there’s nothing I can do without her interfering… what am I saying? I can’t do anything at all!” he rubbed his temple.

“Were you planning on staying here for the night?” she nodded and he sighed. “Alright, no way… you’re coming with me”

“What?” he rolled his eyes.

“Listen, I’m not going back to jail because this time I don’t want Naraku helping me again… you are going to stay at my apartment and tomorrow we are going to your mother’s house and you are going back home and you’re going to obey her”

“But she banned me to see you!”

“Well maybe that’s for the best!” he yelled and she felt something break inside. “I don’t mean it to sound so cold but… Kagome, the farthest you stay from me… the better for you”

“But I don’t care what you… I want to…”

“You don’t understand do you?! I’m growing feelings for you! I don’t want to sleep every night thinking that tomorrow something might happen to you because I’m in love with you!” he yelled and she smiled while some tears gathered around her eyes.

“You… you love me?” she asked and without getting an answer from him, she placed her lips over his and melted his for the most passionate kiss he ever received in his life.




A/N: well, I just posted a new story along with the sequel of ‘there’s something so special about her’, the sequel is called ‘the truth beyond’ and the new story is called ‘I love the cook, I mean to cook’… hm, there’s something that worries me guys which is the time I have to write because I also want to update them all like the same week so if I find time and if nothing stops me then I’ll update my 4 stories one per day… anyway!
