Chapter 5

Kikio grabbed her bag and walked into her apartment, throwing the keys on the counter, a few days later. She sighed and threw the bag across the room as she flopped onto the couch, turning on the TV. She grabbed around for her phone and looked at the caller ID, “Mom, dad, Kenshin, Kanna, Kenshin, InuYasha, Kenshin, Sesshoumaru, Kenshin.” She got up and walked into her room where the answering machine was.

“You have nine new messages.”

Mom, “Hey sweety, just seeing how you were doing. Gotta go, bye.” BEEP!

Dad, “Hey just checking up on my baby girl. See ya.” BEEP!

Kenshin, “Kikio? You there, probably not, but just wanting to know how you're doing and what you're up to. See ya.” BEEP!

Kanna, “Expect a call from InuYasha. Bye.” BEEP!

Kenshin, “Hey Kikio, me again. Kenji says hi. `I!' Bye.” BEEP!

InuYasha, “Kikio call me back when you get home. See ya.” BEEP!

Kenshin, “Kaoru says hi. Bye.” BEEP!

Sesshoumaru, “Hey Ki. Wanted to know if you go InuYasha's call and if you wanted to go to dinner tonight or over the weekend. Well I'm on a pay phone and got to go. I-forget it. I'll talk to you later” BEEP!

Kenshin, “God dammit pick up the phone Kikio!!! `She's at work hun.' Oops. Sorry Ki, you can beat me later.” BEEP!

“End of final message, delete messages?” Kikio pressed several buttons and deleted all but InuYasha's and Sesshoumaru's calls. She picked up the phone and dialed a number and listened to the prepared phone message.

“Kikio, I just called you to let you know that you have been promoted to Sesshoumaru's secretary. I don't think that you knew he worked in the building but anyway, talk to you later. Bye. OH! You're office is already packed. Kanna will take you up tomarrow when you get there. Bye.” Kikio groaned and fell on her bed,

“Ugh, ugh, and double ugh.” She was about to roll over and fall asleep when the phone rang, “What?!” A chuckled was heard over the phone,

“And here I was going to ask you to dinner.” Kikio rolled her eyes,

“Sess…” she whined into the phone. Sesshoumaru chuckled,

“So where do you wanna go?”

“Sleep. My bed.”

“That could be arranged.” She could hear the smirk in his response. She growled,

“How about you come over here and we get take out or something. Or I could throw something together. Or you could cook. What'll it be?” Sesshoumaru thought for a second before replying,

“Fine, I'll grab something on my way over. Oh, and I sujest you change, your clothes should be better suited for a take out dinner.” Kikio growled,

“What do you propose?” A shrug could be heard,

“How about your underwear?” Kikio's eyes bugged.

“SESSHOUMARU!!!” Sesshoumaru laughed,

“I was joking. Ok, I'll be over in five-ten minutes. See ya.” Kikio hung up the phone and stripped out of her office clothes and put on a pair of black pajama pants and a red tank top. She put on some red slippers and walked out to the living room, where she sat on the couch, waiting for Sesshoumaru.

“Kikio?” she groaned and sat up rubbing her eyes,

“Shit I fell asleep.” She looked around and found Sesshomaru with some forks and styrofoam containers. She smiled, “You are here.” He sat next to her and handed her food. She turned to him and smiled wider. “Thanks.” She whispered. Sesshoumaru nodded a small smiled her answer as he opened his container and began eating. Kikio followed suit, “This is good. Thanks for grabbing it. Why did you want to take me to dinner?” Sesshoumaru shrugged,

“I don't care about the day in the studio it still doesn't make up for the crap I did to you all those years. I still have to try to mend things up.” Kikio nodded sadly and finished her food, placing the container on the table infront of her. She grabbed a blanket and leaned back,

“Thanks, Sesshoumaru.” He finished up to and looked over to Kikio,

“You should pull up your shirt.” Kikio blushed and pulled up her shirt before wrapping her blanket around her. She leaned on his shoulder. He looked down at her as she looked at him and he leaned down and brushed his lips over hers. She pulled back and looked at him,

“What's happening?” Sesshoumaru shrugged,

“I dunno, but I like it.” He pulled her closer and kissed her again. She closed her eyes and responded, moving her head making the kiss deeper. She jumped when she felt his tonge against her lips, asking for enterance. She gladly obliged him and allowed him to explore her mouth. She slightly moaned into his mouth as she felt his tonge rub against her. She ran her tonge over his teeth and he moaned, a bit, as she rubbed it over his canine fangs. They pulled back when the need for air become more than just necessary. She looked away blushing as he looked at her with a look in her eyes she didn't recognize.

“What's wrong?” Kikio looked to Sesshoumaru,

“This has got to be a sin or something. I'm on the couch making out with my best friend.”

“Ex best friend.” He corrected. Kikio glared at him,

“So what am I now? Just a new toy until someone better comes along?” Sesshoumaru growled,

“Never!” She snarled,

“Well that's what it seems like. And no I'm not just gonna fuck you cos you're lonely, just cos Kagura isn't there for life. God dammit, Sesshoumaru. What the hell do you want from me?!” Sesshoumaru pulled her closer to him,

“I want to me more than just friends. I get this strange feeling, at night, that I'm supposed to be lying next to you so that I wake up with you the next morning. I dunno why. And it's only started since I started at the Academy.” Kikio looked up at him,

“I'm not just a new toy?” Sesshoumaru shook his head,

“No. You'd be my only toy if I had things my way. You wouldn't ask stupid questions. You'd be there all the time…” Kikio looked at him,

“What-are you nuts?! I'd be the freaking side show. When you're girlfriend doesn't want you at night you'd come to me. No way in hell Sesshoumaru.” Sesshoumaru growled, and was about to hit her when she spoke again. “Sesshoumaru I don't know what you want from me, but when you figure it out will you please let me know. And until then, we'll just act how we usually do.” Sesshoumaru looked down at her,

“does that mean I still get to make out with you?” Kikio shrugged,

“Depends…” he smirked and bent down and kissed her. He laid her back on the couch and hovered over her as he pulled back,

“How about now?” Kikio nodded and grinned, he could smell a spike in her arousal.

“Now you can.” She smirked and pulled him down by the loosened tie around his neck and kissed him passionatly. Her hands went to his shirt and began to unbutton it. She got it off and slid it off his shoulders as he went for her shirt, slowly slipping it up her arms until they pulled back breifly for the shirt to come off of her. Her hands roamed around his chest ran down his arms as he went back to kiss her. His hair creating a curtain around the two.

He went to unhook the clasp on her bra when a sound came from the door. Kikio groaned and grabbed her shirt and pulled it on. She found Sesshoumaru's shirt and walked over handing it to him. She giggled because he still had his tie on. She rolled her eyes as he waggled his eye brows and went to the door. She looked through the peep hole and gasped.

“Sesshoumaru, go hide somewhere!” He nodded and walked into the studio locking the door behind him. Kikio, satisfied, opened the door and smiled, trying to look sleepy. “Hey Kagome, Sango. What's up?” Sango smiled,

“Just came to visit. I heard you were promoted. Sesshoumaru's secretary. Sorry.” Kikio giggled and let the two girls in. Kagome noticed the two food containers and showed Sango,

“Hey Kikio, did you have company?” Kikio noticed the two containers, cursing her luck,

“Ah-no, I was really hungery so I just ordered two things out of the italian resturant down the street.” Kagome nodded,

“I didn't know they did take out. And I didn't know Kenshin left his shoes here. Nice shoes. I didn't think he owned any.” Kikio growled a warning to Sesshoumaru not to come out.

Sesshoumaru slipped out of the studio and into the bathroom, locking the door behind himself. He fixed his shirt and his tie and looked for his shoes, “Dammit!” She grabbed a comb out of his pocket and fixed his hair, putting it into a ponytail. He sighed and opened the door. And walked out dispite the warning that Kikio had gave him. Sango and Kagome gasped,

“Sesshoumaru?!” Sesshoumaru looked up from the carpet,

“Hello, ladies.” Sango eyed him suspiciously,

“Why were you in Kikio's bathroom?” Sesshoumaru shrugged,

“I needed to go over, with Kikio, what I require of my secretaries.”

`Yeah, you like to make out with them after a take out italian dinner.' Kikio mummbled to herself and Kagome looked at her before turning back to Sesshoumaru,

“You take your shoes off during business dinners or briefings or whatever?” Kikio decided to save Sesshoumaru,

“Actually I just had my floor cleaned and I asked him to take his shoes off. I would have asked you guys but I figured we would only be in the kitchen but, since you guys are in your slippers like you usually are, when you come over here, it doesn't really matter.” Kagome looked at Kikio as she rambled on. Kikio sighed and walked into the kitchen to make some cocoa. Sesshoumaru came up behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist, kissing her neck. Kikio shivered.

“I've got to go. See you tomarrow?” Kikio nodded and went back to making the water, until Sesshoumaru kissed her. She resisted the urge to melt, and kissed back before pulling away pushing him towards the door.

“Go.” Once he was out. Kagome and Sango jumped on Kikio,

“SPILL!” The kettle began to whistle and she poured it into three cups before she was led off to the couch. She groaned as she sat down, not wanting to reveal her secret relationship with Sesshoumaru, just yet. Kagome looked at her, “Why did he kiss you?!” Kikio blushed and Sango sipped her cocoa,

“Yeah, you guys seemed really friendly.” Kikio blushed even more and looked away.

“He wants to try and be friends-scratch that, more than friends.” She squeaked out. “Last week he sent me a bunch of flowers to my office and left a note. I met him for lunch and didn't even get a chance to eat. He told me that he felt really guilt about how I had attempted suicide. That night he was at the academy and we came back here cos I wasn't supposed to use the room for my tutoring. WE came back here and I helped him out. Then we ended up kissing. We've been dating-I think- for about a week.” Sango nodded,

“What do you mean, you think you're dating.” Kikio sighed,

“I'm still waiting to see what exactly he wants from me. But for now, I get nice dinners and great desserts.” Kagome smirked,

“Does that include making out with him?” Kikio blushed and nodded.

“Yeah.” She squeaked again. Kagome and Sango squealed,

“I can't wait to tell the guys!” They said at the same time. Kikio's eyes widened,

“No! Don't tell them, please. It's bad enough that I have them to worry about me like I'm their little sister, but I havn't even told Kenshin yet and if he found out. Dammit, he'd kill Sesshoumaru. I don't need anyone six feet under or in jail.” Kagome and Sango nodded, understanding. Kikio smiled, “Well do you guys wanna have a sleep over, considering we're all in the same dress, pj's.” The two girls nodded and got up and left before coming back with bunches of blankets.

Kagome came back looking ticked. As they made a nest Kikio looked at Kagome, “What's wrong, Kags?” Kagome growled,

“InuYasha had other plans. Which he didn't tell me about till I went back over there to grab some blankets. Turns out it was some weird ass holiday that he had created that required us to go somewhere to eat and then come home and be a couple. Geez, weirdo.” Kikio and Sango grinned at each other before wacking Kagome with a pillows. Sango tackled the girl and they all ended up wrestling for a while,

“Ah cheer up Kags. WE're gonna have tons of fun tonight.” The phone rang and Kikio grabbed it off it's hook,

“Hello?”

“Guess what I'm doing right now.” A husky voice came over the phone.

“Sessss! I'm about to have a sleep over with the girls. Can we do this later?” Kikio groaned.

“No.” was her reply. “Now guess.” Kikio rolled her eyes and put the phone against her shoulder,

“I'll be right back. Sesshoumaru's playing games again.” She got up and walked into her room and put the phone back to her ear, “What?” A husky chuckle, that sent shivers up and down her spine, sounded into her ear. “Nani, Sesshoumaru?”

“Guess what I'm doing right now?” his deep tone came over the phone a bit louder now.

“Fine. I dunno, watching American football, playing video games, watching sumo wrestling, or are you watching the American Playboy channel?” She growled out.

“No, no good idea though, no, no that's gross.” She giggled a bit.

“Than tell me, Sesshoumaru-sama, what are you doing?”

“Sitting in the bath.” Kikio growled at him,

“You called me to tell me you were spending time with your rubber duck?!” Sesshoumaru's voice got deeper,

“But it gets better.”

“and?”

“I've been thinking about all the naughty things we could do in this tub.” His voice was now low, husky, and seductive. And shivers were racing marathons down her spine, as Kikio tried to control her breathing.

“SESSHOUMARU!!” she blushed, “I'm hanging up now. Bye.” She hung up and walked into the bathroom and splashed water on her face. “Oh my god.” She walked out as she dried her face. She dropped the phone on it's hook and joined her friends in the nest. They popped in a movie, made popcorn, and started watching it.

“So what did you two talk about? You yelled at him.” Kikio blushed,

“Sesshoumaru was being perverted. He was in the bathtub when he called me. Idiot.” Sango leaned on her elbow,

“maybe he's serious about you two, Miroku called me from his tub one night and the next week I was living with him and he proposed to me.” Kagome giggled,

“InuYasha called me from the bath, I walked in and he asked for ramen.” The other two girls giggled as well. Kikio smirked,

“That's cos you've had to live with him cos Kouga keeps comin' for his `Wo-man'!” Sango and Kikio laughed wildly.

Kikio walked into the office building and was immediately escorted to her new office. She knocked on Sesshoumaru's office door and it opened. She walked in and Sesshoumaru led her to her office. He opened the door and handed her a key, “You will accompany me everywhere I go outside this building.” Kikio looked at him,

“Even home?” Sesshoumaru smirked,

“I, actually, wouldn't mind that.” Kikio slapped him on the arm,

“Perv.” She stuck her tonge out and Sesshoumaru smirked a bit,

“Watch where you put that tonge, missy.” Kikio smirked,

“Oh, and what are you going to do about it?” Sesshoumaru walked up and walked her towards the wall. He pressed her against it before diving in for a kiss. He pulled back,

“That's what I'll do about it.” Kikio breathed and blushed, and gasped as he went in for another kiss. He pressed his tonge against her lips and she opened up. He began massaging her tonge with his and they began the age old fight for dominance. Sesshoumaru won, of course. Kikio brought her leg to rest on his hip and he pulled her up so her legs were wrapped around his waist. His hands went under her white blouse, and was about to head to her bra when there was a knock on the door. Kikio untangled her hands from his hair as Sesshoumaru set her down. “Go into your office.” He opened a door and Kikio entered and sat at her desk.

Sesshoumaru fixed his suit and tie before going to the door, “May I help you, InuYasha?” InuYasha looked around,

“I thought I saw Kikio go up here.” Sesshoumaru shook his head,

“No. Miss. Himura left to get lunch call her cell phone or house. She said she was going home for lunch.” InuYasha nodded and began to walk away before turning around,

“Yo, Sess, your ties crooked.” Sesshoumaru glared at him before closing the door and fixing his tie. Kikio came out of her office and snickered,

“You should have double checked everything, Sesshoumaru.” She smirked and then walked back into her office, deliberatly shaking her hips a bit more. Making Sesshoumaru watch her butt instead of her head, she walked into her office, slamming the door behind her.

A few hours later, Kikio was sitting at her desk typing up documents when the door opened. She figured it was Sesshoumaru dropping off more papers and ignored it. She stoped ignoring it when she was spun around in her chair and was kissed. She widened her eyes and her eyes met pools of amber, `Sesshoumaru.' She melted into the kiss and responded. She pulled back and gasped as Sesshoumaru lifted her out of her chair and sat on it, placing her on his lap. She moaned as he began to place light, open mouthed, kisses down her jaw line, down to her collar bone. She rolled her head back to give him more acsess, and she went for his shirt and began unbuttoning it. He had gotten her blouse undone and he was going for her bra, when the phone rang. She picked it up, “Moshi-moshi, Kikio-san speaking. Welcome to Taiyoukai Corperation. How may I help you?” She paused for a moment and listened. She looked at Sesshoumaru and gasped as he began to suck on her collar bone, “S-ess I-ts for yo-ou!” Sesshoumaru growled and took the phone from her.

“Yes?” he barked. He nodded at the phone for a few minutes and then put it down. “Nothing just a meeting notice.” He was about to go kiss her again when someone went into Sesshoumaru's office,

“Sesshoumaru?!” He growled and Kikio quickly got up and locked the door, just in time for InuYasha to ALMOST catch them in a compramising position. Kikio quickly buttoned up her blouse and fixed it up. She pushed Sesshoumaru into a door on the side, a secret elevator, fixed her hair and made it look like she had been sleeping. She unlocked the door and walked out. Yawning she rubbed her eyes,

“Hey InuYasha. Your brother went out about an hour ago.” InuYasha nodded,

“So how do you like your new job?” Kikio smiled,

“I like it. I'm having tons of fun playing solitare in my office.” InuYasha chuckled and shook his head, smiling,

“You should come with us to go clubbing tonight.” Kikio shook her head,

“Sorry. I've got other plans tonight. Sorry, I'll make it up to you guys.” InuYasha nodded,

“It's ok. Anyway, Kagome's been really jumpy lately, like she's trying to keep a secret. Do you know what it might be.” Kikio shook her head.

“Nope.” She lied, “I'm gonna go back to sleep now. See ya.” She walked back into her office and locked the door, after she closed it. InuYasha walked out of Sesshoumaru's office and walked down the hall to the elevator.
