Chapter 1:Meeting Turns To Fighting, Reason Gives
Inuyasha and the others are walking in the forest, again in search of jewel shards, when
they stumbled upon a small camp owned by a teenage girl. The woman, repeatedly poking at the
fire, looks to be deep in thought.
"Hey, you Whadda ya doin' sitting in the middle of the forest?" Inuyasha asked.
The girl looked up, saw Inuyasha, and smiled slightly.
"It's my home for the night. I got kicked out of my pack."
"Oh, ok....pack?" Inuyasha was confused.
"I'm a wolf demon." The girl said.
Kagome had noticed something weird about the girl. Her head was tingling just from being
around her. Then, using her miko power, she noticed an eerie glow coming from the girl. She
had 10 jewel shards One in each hand, one in each arm, two in each leg, and one in each foot
When InuYasha was informed of this, he nearly fainted.
"10 jewel shards That's incredible." Everyone agreed. Inuyasha went back to the girl.
"Why did they kick you out?"
"They didn't trust me. They said that I was too powerful to be trusted to not kill anyone. I said I
would never kill anybody, much less my pack, but they didn't believe me. So Kouga told me-"
She was stopped by Inuyasha, who was dumbstruck.
"Kouga?! I hate him I'll show him not to leave anyone alone by themselves for no good reason."
Despite numerous protests, the dog-demon would not be deterred. He ran toward the wolf-
demon's scent, followed by Sango and Miroku on Kirara and Kagome on her bike with Shippo
in her basket. The female wolf realized there would be no point in protesting, so she ran off in
the direction the others were headed.
"Dammit you come back !!!!!!!!! You don't know what the hell your getting yourself into!!!!!"
The girl shouted.
The group soon caught up with the pack and Inuyasha, who had gone ahead. When they arrived
Kouga immediately recognized the dog-demons scent and came out of his hideout in the cave.
"Uh, hey, Inuyasha ,old buddy." He said with a trace of sarcasm and scorn in his voice. He
started to laugh arrogantly... Then he saw the girl. Gasping, he yelled at the wolf- demon.
"SARAH, WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?!?!?!?!" He exclaimed angrily. She turned to
leave, but Miroku grabbed her shoulder.
"Miroku? What's wrong? What do you want?" Sarah asked.
"You should talk to Kouga. Tell him that you meant no harm and want to re-join the pack."
Sarah was reluctant, but did as the monk ask, for what good it would do.
"Kouga, I didn't want to hurt anyone. I just want to come back to my pack. You're like family to
me."
"How can I trust you not to kill anyone?" Kouga asked.
"Well, I'm not the type to hurt, let alone kill." Sarah said.
"I don't believe you. With all those jewel shards, you're bound to go crazy and want more power.
Then you'll get hella-nasty and hurt someone. It's better to just leave you and be safe."
And the houshi secretly agreed, despite himself. Never had he seen a demon with a jewel shard
who wasn't evil, or didn't soon turn that way. Sarah began to cry.
"Kouga !!!!!!! You've known me all your damn life !!!!!! You know me better than this !!!!!!!!!!!
I was your best friend Kouga! I was your best friend !!!!! And now your kicking me out because
I have some jewel shards !!!!!!!! You know me better than this Kouga. You know -"
Her voice trailed off as she fell to her knees crying. The houshi went to the fallen girls side,
followed by Kagome.
"She fainted. We have to get her to shelter and help."
"I know," replied Miroku, "but how can we get her somewhere? The last place to rest we could
go to is miles away."
The demon hunter, hanyou and miko were very worried at the truth he spoke. Kouga walked off,
his head hung in shame. Kagome followed after him.
"Kouga, why don't you want her around? She said you two knew each other. She said you two
were friends. So why?"
"Because of you Kagome. She loved me, but I love you. I only want to be with you." She wasn't
as surprised upon hearing this as she was the first time, but felt sorry. Sorry for Sarah. But
mostly sorry for Kouga, who couldn't love anyone but her.
Inuyasha was fed up. He didn't care so much about the girl as he did Kouga hitting on Kagome.
Didn't he understand she was Inuyasha's and always would be? He attacked the pack-leader.
"Inuyasha!!!!! What are you doing!!!!!!!" Kagome shouted.
"I'm attacking, stupid!!!,"he shouted, but the wolf-demon was to fast for his assailant. He
quickly moved out of the way.
"Stupid, what are you calling me stupid for Inuyasha !!!!! You can be so rude sometimes!!!!!!!!"
"Shut up!" He added, "Stupid girl!!!"
"Inuyasha!"
"What?"
"SIT!"
Sarah was still unconscious. Her head was in Miroku's lap, who was keeping a close eye on her
and the fight. Kagome began to lecture Kouga.
"Kouga, why can't you just accept the fact that an old friend loves you !!!! She's your best friend
and you kick her out of the pack because you love me !!!! That's the stupidest excuse I've ever
heard." The wolf wasn't listening.
*Kouga's POV*
'Why doesn't she love me? I won't go on without her, she must know that. If she won't love me
then I'LL MAKE HER MINE BY FORCE!'
*POV end*
The demon then ran to her side and kidnaped the girl as Inuyasha looked on in horror. Kagome
slapped Kouga to make him pay attention. She realizes she has it, and continues the lecture.
"Listen you, Sarah loves you, and you put her out of the pack for that? You're just a big
jerk!!!!!"
Kouga put her down. He didn't like being slapped.
*Kouga's POV(again)*
Why'd she hit me? Sure, I kidnaped her, but that gives her no right to hit me. Unless, of course,
she likes that kind of stuff. Maybe she's kinky. Hmm....
*POV end*
Kagome walked off, tired of Kouga's insubordinance. Kouga was dumbstruck. The woman he
loved just walked away from him. He couldn't believe his eyes. Kagome walked over to Sarah,
who was still passed out on the ground. She leaned over her, looking for any signs of her starting
to stir. She wasn't moving.
"She's in bad shape," Miroku said. "She is barely breathing. She needs help."
"Well, what should we do?" Kagome asked concern.
"That's easy." Inuyasha said. "Get her to the nearest help we can find."
"But how?" Sango interjected. "We can't just leave you here with Kouga."
"Look," Inuyasha said, "I'll leave. Her health is more important than this petty feud."
"Okay." Kagome said. "Thanks Inuyasha."
They made their way back to the cabin that they'd found. Everyone was surprised that Inuyasha
had agreed to leave so easily, but he was right. Sarah was there main priority.
They found the cabin, which was large enough for 6, provided they put 2 in each room. they had
5, since Shippo and Kirara slept out side.
Sarah began to stir. "Where, where's Miroku?" She said weakly.
"What might you want him for?" Sango inquired.
"I need to talk to him. It's really important."
"Well... okay." Sango left, and a moment later the monk walked in.
"What's wrong Sarah?" he asked.
"I don't understand. He won't listen to me. He's so damn stubborn. Why are all men so damn
stubborn?"
"Um... you might want to ask Inuyasha about that. He seems to be the leading authority on
stubbornness."
"No," she said, "I want you to answer, if it's not to much trouble."
Miroku sighed, "I don't know if I'm the right man to tell you."
"You seem to be being pretty stubborn now." she pointed out.
"Sometimes, I tend to be." Miroku said.
"It's okay." she said.
"You can't help it. You're a man."
"Hey, I resent that remark." Miroku said.
Sarah laughed. "Well I don't."
"What's that supposed to mean?" he asked.
"Nothing, nothing. Just..."
"What is it?" he inquired.
"Miroku... I love you."
"WHAT?!"
"It's true, I love you Miroku. I know what you did for me while I was knocked out. And now I
know that I don't love Kouga. I love you. I want you, Miroku."
Miroku made a sound that was half a laugh, but half a cough.
"Well uh... I just... well me and Sango... It's just...um...?"
"She'll never know. She's not here. Look outside. They all went to see Kaede to see if she could
help me. But she can't. You can. Help me, Miroku. Heal me."
*They kiss, but Miroku pulls away.*
"Miroku, what's wrong?" Sarah asked.
"I'm not sure about this."
"Oh, I understand. Okay. Go be with Sango."
"No, it's not that. Its just, well, are you sure you want this?"
"More than anything. Ask me the question, Miroku. Ask me."
"Well uh....."
"Go on Miroku, ask me. Please." Sarah urged.
"Sarah, will you bear my child?"
"Yes, Miroku. I will."

SQUEE! Chapter 1 is up! Yay! Holy cats, I've gotta stop reading fics by women....I just said
squee. God damn it.
