Chapter Ten - Making Bail

 

Kagome, Kagura, Sango and Ayame tapped their heels on the cold concrete ground, making a nerve racking clicking. They stood in front of the guys holding cell. Inuyasha threw feverous glances at Miroku who threw them at Kouga who then threw them at Inuyasha. The process repeated till Kagura found it dull and boring.

 

“What the hell did you think you guys were doing?!” Kagura yelled.

 

“It's very unbecoming for a woman to yell.” Miroku nodded his head.

 

“Listen Miro if you don't want to spend the night here with baba over their.” She jerked her thumb to a burly looking man in the cell across from them. “I suggest you keep your sarcasm to yourself.” She finished.

 

“Point…” He looked over to “baba” and cringed “Taken”

 

“Do you know how much this fine is?”

 

“Are you getting us out or what?” Inuyasha asked drumming his claws against the wall.

 

“Shut up puppy!” Kagura yelled

 

“I'm not a puppy!” Inuyasha protested.

 

“And I don't care!” Kagura ruby eyes narrowed at him.

 

“Keh.”

 

“Are you going to bail them out?” Sango asked.

 

“Yeah I already did but I told the officials to keep them in for tonight.” Kagura grinned.

 

“What?! That's not right!” Kouga yelled.

 

“Neither is breaking the law.” Ayame said with a wave of her hand.

 

“Then we ought to be going.” Kagome smirked.

 

“Hai, see you boys tomorrow morning.” And they left their annoying heels clicking once more as they left the scared men alone.

 

“They will come back….right?” Inuyasha asked his friends.

 

“They are woman…” Kouga trailed off.

 

“Therefore they're against us.” Miroku sighed.

Kagome, Ayame and Sango stood in front of Naraku's corporation side entrance. They each had on a black business suit but secretly they had a gun in their brief cases. Because the side entrance was the only entrance unprotected they had to work their way up into the main floor. Kagome used her miko powers to lightly burn the lock off. Sango then kicked the door and they entered. Once the area was clear they walked out into the busy corporation hallway. They rode the elevator in silence; once the door to the main floor opened a guard came and checked their passes. Once they were out of ear shot Sango asked the question that plagued her and Kagome's mind.

 

“Ayame where did you get these passes?” They knew Ayame was good but not that good. There was no way she could have gotten passes to the main floor of Naraku's - their greatest enemy- building.

 

“Shiomi had these passes in his house, my guess is that the real reason I was ordered to murder him was because he was aiding Naraku.” Ayame sighed.

 

“To bad he really was cute.” Kagome nodded.

 

“Yeah don't I know it.” Ayame winked as they went into the room where Kikyo was supposed to be. The minute they entered they saw guards.

 

“Hey you can't be in here!” One guard shouted. Ayame pulled out her gun and shot him once in the heart. That alone alerted more guards. A guard grabbed his radio and shouted.

 

“We need back up! Sesshomaru assassins are here!”

Inuyasha, Kouga, and Miroku had just gotten home when their phone rang. Miroku picked up and Inuyasha and Kouga's looked for Kagura and the girls to yell at her but they were no where in sight.

 

“Guys!” Miroku yelled and ran into Kagura's office where Inuyasha and Kouga had looked for the MIA Kagura.

 

“What is it lecher?” Inuyasha asked.

 

“They need back up in Naraku's building.” Miroku said while going to the weapon room.

 

“What?” Kouga asked.

 

“Why?” Inuyasha added in his two cents.

 

“Sesshomaru infamous assassins broke into the main floor and are now trying to steal something from room thirteen.” Miroku loaded his guns.

 

“The forbidden room huh? Hell this will give me a chance to see what the hell is in there.” Inuyasha grabbed a gun.

 

“Yeah and we get to see these assassins, word has it they killed the thunder brothers.” Kouga smirked.

 

“Let's go.”

“Damn it!” Kagome dodged another bullet. Ayame punched a guard in the stomach then sent a bullet threw his member. Sango hurriedly tired to close the door where more guards were flooding in. She had finally succeeded and latched the door closed. She put a desk in front of the door for now. There were about five more guards in the room. She shot each and every one of them. Bullets grazed her should leaving a trail of blood down her arm. She could care less it only added to the blood on her shirt from her victims. Kagome looked up from where the fallen guard had laid. Ayame pointed to a door.

 

“Cobalt is in there I can smell her scent.” Ayame said looking in distaste at the blood around the room.

 

“Is she alone?” Sango asked.

 

“Yeah.” Ayame waited for the okay to open the door. Sango being the leader had to step in her role.

 

“Miko.” Kagome turned to her director. Now this was business they weren't friends they were partners on an assignment.

 

“Open the door.” Sango said in monotone that would level Sesshomaru's. Sango was the first to step in.

 

“Kikyo….”

“What do you mean they locked you out?!” Inuyasha yelled at the men outside the door.

 

“They locked us out Sir.” One guard repeated.

 

“We can see that! What I want to know is how three people managed to lock you all out. It was twenty to three! And you're telling me nine more of our men are in there! And they might be dead!” Miroku barked at them.

 

“I can smell it they are dead.” Kouga stated.

 

“Miroku-sama they aren't human.”

 

“Neither are you!” he snapped.

 

“And why are you standing out here break into there!” Inuyasha yelled.

 

“The room sir was made to be firm.”

 

“Then how did they get in?!” Kouga asked pointing to the closed door.

 

“It was unlocked.” Miroku sighed at the so called guard's stupidity.

 

“Who was on duty? Where is he now?” Miroku asked.

 

“In the room….. dead.” A guard replied.

 

“Lucky for him.” Inuyasha mumbled.

 

“Find a way to unlock that door.” The three men went to walk away to debate on plans when a guard's comment on the given command stopped them.

 

“Only lady Kagura knows how to open that door.” Inuyasha, Kouga, and Miroku sighed.

 

“You had better find her then.” Miroku said.

“Kikyo?” Sango walked into the room only to find Kikyo lying on a simple white bed. Actually the whole room was white; the only color in the room was Kikyo's hair and eyes. Not to mention the drops of crimson that dripped off of Sango's shoulder.

 

“Emerald, Miko come in.” Sango said dropped down beside Kikyo to check her status. Kagome and Ayame looked over their former leader as Sango did what doctors do best.

 

“She's fine just in deep sleep, the wall are sound proof so it's no wonder she didn't wake up.” Sango stood back up. Kagome and Ayame gave relief breathes.

 

“Now how do we get out?” Sango said.

 

 

One day before in Kagura's office

 

“Aya, the white rug is a door. You can't see the lock but you can feel it. Here is the key.” Kagura placed a silver key in Ayame's hands. “That key will be your only escape. It leads to stairs which takes you all the way out the building and into a tunnel.”

 

“Where will we end up?”

 

“You'll end up underneath LaAmour which also has a trap door under it. You will not need a key for it. Plus the restaurant will be closed tomorrow. During the whole ordeal I'll be working at your corporation.”

 

“Why are the two trap doors so far from each other? It will take us a good hour before we reach Sesshomaru's house.” Ayame asked.

 

“Because that's just the why the route was made. Make sure the door locks all the way.” Kagura warned.

 

“I will.”

 

“Director, put your hand here.” Ayame pointed to where the lock was. “Do you feel that?” Sango nodded.

 

“It's an escape door!” Sango smiled overjoyed. Ayame took out a key.

 

“I found this also in Shiomi house, it had a note on it that said the white room. I think this is it.” Ayame inserted the key and opened to door which blended in the rug. Kagome gasped and closed the room door.

 

“What is it?” Sango asked.

 

“The guys! Just listen.” Kagome whispered.

“Unbreakable my ass!” Inuyasha snorted. Kouga and Inuyasha put a hand to their noses.

 

“This place stinks….aghh blood.” Kouga wanted to gag at the strong smell of blood, if not that then the nine dead bodies shoten without remorse.

 

“And this isn't the “firm” door it's that one which now is locked.” Miroku stated.

 

“So they must be in there?” Kouga asked.

 

“Apparently since the stupid guards left it unlocked.” Miroku sighed.

 

“Damn we need Kagura.” Inuyasha cursed. Meanwhile Kagome, Kikyo, Ayame and Sango had already left the room. A guard rushed into the room where the three men stood.

 

“Lady Kagura just walked into the building.” Kagura then pushed her way into the room.

 

“What happened?!” She yelled.

 

“Open the door Kay, they are in there.” Kagura nodded at went to open the door already knowing they had escaped. The three men walked into the room and saw it was empty.

 

“They're gone.” Miroku narrowed his eyes.

 

“And so is the human.” Kagura sighed.

 

“What human?” Kouga asked.

 

“What do you think they took?” Kagura rolled her eyes.

Sesshomaru looked at the four girls in his home office. He looked at Kikyo who was still asleep on Ayame's back. He nodded and they went to another part of the mansion which was Kikyo's room.

 

“Lay her down.” Ayame did as told. Sesshomaru turned to Sango.

 

“I want a full report on everything that happened next week. You girls already know where your guest rooms are. Go and take a shower then go back to your currant residence so nothing seems strange. I will alert you when Kikyo is awake.” Sesshomaru went to leave but stopped when he heard Kikyo's voice.

 

“There is no need for that. We will all meet in an hour at my office?” Kikyo's office was in Sesshomaru's house. Sesshomaru nodded.

 

“That is fine.” Then they all left to get ready.
