Chapter Twelve - Rin Seeks Approval

 

Kagome let the cold water caress her heated skin with Ayame. Sango laid on the beach with Miroku as InuYasha and Kouga sat at the outdoor bar drinking cold alcohol. The heat was too intense for the two in the water. Kagome smirked at Ayame.

 

“This was such a good idea; we'll have to thank Sango.”

 

“I know…Aya do you think San and Miroku hooked up? I mean she did invite him to the beach first and they seem pretty intimate.” Kagome adjusted her red and pink bikini as she spoke.

 

“Hey then we have two more to go.” Ayame laughed also adjusting her peach bikini as another wave hit the two.

 

“Yeah but look how content she looks.” They both looked and saw Sango asleep on the towel as Miroku put an umbrella to protect her from the sun.

 

“True, you looked content like that this morning.” Kagome smirked.

 

“Shut up!” Ayame blushed and gabbed Kagome's hand leading her back to the hot sand of the beach.

 

“You don't want to stay in the water anymore?” Kagome asked.

 

InuYasha's Point Of View

 

I turn my head briefly and I catch Kagome and Ayame walking out the water. I only focus on Kagome as the waves crash behind her legs and she kicks the water while laughing. Last night. I knew she was in heat when she walked in. I usually can control myself. Like when Kagura is in heat pshh I ignore it. So why does Kagome make me lose all my restraint? That only means one thing and I'm sure Kouga is going through the same thing. I refuse to knowledge this I've only known these girls for a month. Kami how I want to feel Kagome's skin brush against mine again to feel her lip soft and smooth. I watch her till she looks in this direction then I turn away. Sometimes I feel that I want to have more then sex with her but that's the youkai talking. And even then I'm not sure what I want from her, Sex, a relationship or love? I'll tell you now that I know for a fact that Sango and Miroku are official. I'm here drinking with Kouga when someone puts there hands over my eyes I know its Kagome. I pry her hands off and instead put them around my bare chest and continue to drink. You see! Right there! When the hell did I get so damn comfortable with her? She places her chin on my shoulder. I'm going on impulse here my youkai impulse which doesn't think things out.

 

“You're no fun.” I turn my head raise an eyebrow and kiss her. Slowly and intoxicating but not as passionate as I would like because come on after all Ayame and Kouga are right there. I break the kiss and she looks into my eyes asking when our flirt became full on although she does not voice this. I smirk. That one kiss explains it all. She's mine and she knows.

 

“You'll have plenty of occasions to see how fun I am.” Her eyes, I know that look it's an unashamed curiosity. And she kisses me again provoking me.

 

She's doing a damn good job.

Sango let the warm sun fall onto her back. The rays felt good as the hands massaging her back. Sango was in bliss. Her phone rang and she asked Miroku to hand it to her which he did. Sango looked at the unfamiliar ID with a small frown but answered the phone none the less.

 

“Hello?”

 

“San?” Sango sat up and Miroku mouthed that he was going to get a beer to which she nodded.

 

“Where the hell have you've been Rin?”

 

“I'm going to come back home but I'm going to need you guys to be there to pacify Sesshy.”

 

“I'm sure he won't be that mad Rin you know how much he loves you.”

 

“Love my ass, beside I brought someone with me.” Sango rolled her eyes.

 

“I see you have picked up that bad language from your other brother.” Rin giggled.

 

“Leave Yasha alone. But will you be there in twenty minutes?” Rin asked.

 

“Yeah, you owe us big young lady.”

 

“I love you too Sango.” And with that Rin hung up. Sango got up and stretched. She walked over to the bar and found InuYasha and Kagome in a passionate lip lock as Kouga, Ayame and Miroku talked about Kami knows what. Sango clapped twice to which everyone stopped doing what he or she was doing to look at her. That's real power.

 

“Kag, Aya we have to help little sis out in about twenty minutes.” Ayame blinked as it slowly sunk in who little sis was.

 

“Now?” Kagome whined Sango gritted her teeth.

 

“Yes now.”

 

After a rather small fight with the guys the girls managed to leave. They arrived at the gates of Sesshomaru's home. Kagome along with Sango and Ayame wore simple sun dress this time it matched the colors of their eyes all of them wore white heels. They spotted Rin with a young man about twenty. They walled up to her.

 

“Rin what are you wearing?!” Rin blinked and looked down at her purple strapless dress that reached mid thigh.

 

“What's wrong with it Aya?” Kagome chose to step in.

 

“Kami! Sesshomaru going to flip.”

 

“Okay no more talking let's go in already.” Sango sighed.

 

Everyone walked into Sesshomaru office and sat down. Sesshomaru remained impassive but everyone could see the fire burning in his eyes.

 

“Rin, where have you been?” Rin slowly lifted her golden eyes to her older brother and legal guardian. Despite her and Sesshomaru having the same parents Rin looks came from her mother. Rin had inky black hair and her mother's curvy body and smile although like all her father's children she had his golden eyes. The tone in Sesshomaru voice said there would be hell to pay.

 

“Brother…. I've been in Osaka and…..I met my mate there.” Sesshomaru looked to the red hair man with green eyes with resentment.

 

“What do you mean your mate? You did not ask me for permission to mate. You've gone against youkai rules.” Sesshomaru glared at the young man who in turned glared back. “I could kill you for this.” Sesshomaru looked at the man as he said that. Sango Kagome and Ayame stood up in front of the young couple.

 

“Surely you wouldn't want to break you sister's heart.” Kagome warned.

 

“Besides she seeks approval now, and let's not forget she isn't the only one who broke youkai rules.” Sesshomaru stood up as well.

 

“I'll break his neck!” Sesshomaru yelled.

 

“You would not! I love Shippo!” Rin yelled standing up as Shippo did with her.

 

“I'll like to see you try!” Shippo yelled at the angry youkai.

 

“Is that a challenge you worthless Kitsune!” Sesshomaru went to push back the girls but Sango and Ayame held fast.

 

“Sesshomaru stop!” Ayame yelled.

 

“I'll kill him for tainting her!” Sesshomaru yelled.

 

“How dare you call me tainted!” Rin yelled.

 

“Stay out of this Rin!” Sesshomaru broke from the girls hold and went to lunge at Shippo who was already prepared to attack.

 

“Papa? Mama?” a little voice broke into the room and everyone became quite. A little girl stood in the hallway with red hair and gold eyes she held a stuffed white dog.

 

“Kiku what's wrong?”

 

“Papa, why is everyone yelling?” The little girl asked while rubbing an eye. Sesshomaru was just about to say something when Ayame interfered.

 

“Kiku we where just acting, Papa was just going to go downstairs and get you cookies. Isn't that right?” Ayame tucked a piece of her red hair behind her ear and smiled menacingly at the people in the room.

 

“Yes.” everyone chorused as Sesshomaru took Kiku's hand and left the room. Everyone sat back down and sighed.

 

“That's his daughter?” to that everyone laughed at the Kitsune's genuine confusion.

 

“Yeah, and she is also my daughter.” Ayame said laughing.

Later at Dinner Shippo and Sesshomaru were talking.

 

“You know I give you credit for not backing down, although it was foolish.” Shippo grinned at the older demon.

 

“I would do anything for Rin.” Sesshomaru paused.

 

“She is my little sister; I love her as much as I love my daughter. But if you hurt her I'll kill you. It seems Rin loves you a lot. I can't kill her mate unless like I sad you hurt her. Although you only got through part one. Despite what my feelings are to my younger brother Rin will have you meet him; she unlike me loves him too much.” Shippo sighed.

 

“And I want you and my sister to live here to I find you fit to support from her.”

 

“I understand, it's the least I could do for breaking youkai rules.” Rin came up to the two.

 

“Planning without me?” Shippo grinned and nodded as Ayame called him over.

 

“Rin….” Sesshomaru called her name. Rin looked up at her brother.

 

“Yes Sesshomaru?” She asked.

 

“Did you have sex with him?” Sesshomaru asked deadpan and Rin blushed.

 

“But were mates and I….Sesshy!” Sesshomaru sighed and hugged his sister.

 

“Well was it good?”

 

“Sesshomaru!” For the first time Sesshomaru laughed with his sister in a year.

As everyone was leaving Ayame stood at the doorway with Kiku in her arms. Kikyo and Sesshomaru were also with her. They said there goodbyes to Rin, Shippo, Sango, and Kagome. Kiku gave a kiss to Rin.

 

“Kagome, if Kouga asks for me which I know he will please tell him that I'll be home later tonight.” Ayame said as Kagome nodded. Sesshomaru went to talk to Rin.

 

“You're going to see the half-breed?” Rin sighed.

 

“Why do you treat him like that?” Rin asked.

 

“You know Rin that it was his own fault. He should have never gone with Naraku.” Kikyo walked up to them knowing a verbal battle was about to start.

 

“You two can talk about this later tonight when you guys come back.” Kikyo said. Rin nodded and Sesshomaru hugged her.

 

I just wish you could understand Sesshy.

Sango and Kagome entered the house and found Inuyasha on the soft beige couch. InuYasha looked up from the T.V. and smirked at Kagome.

 

“Guess what ladies!” Kagome dropped down on the couch and put her head on his lap as he ran his finger through her hair. Sango felt that they were unaware of there show of affection.

 

“What?” Sango asked.

 

“Were going on a vacation to a resort Kagura owns this weekend.” Before the girls could respond Rin ran into the living room.

 

“Brother Inu!” InuYasha jumped at the sound of his sister.

 

“Rin!” InuYasha said shocked. Kagome got up from the couch as Rin jumped into InuYasha's arms. He held them open for her still relaxing on the couch with his feet on the other end.

 

“What the hell? Where have you been!? And that better not be a mating mark on your neck!” Inuyasha yelled as Rin held him and laughed. InuYasha moved her long soft black hair from her neck to examine it.

 

“Oh shit it is! Rin where is this punk?!” Shippo entered the room. Inuyasha looked up at him.

 

“InuYasha I like you to meet my mate, Shippo.” Rin smiled and InuYasha sighed.

 

“Great more family well at least he isn't weak looking.”

 

“Gee thanks.” Shippo sighed as Rin went next to her mate. Shippo put an arm around his mate.

 

“Inu, do you approve? Are you mad?” InuYasha rubbed his face.

 

“Yeah I approve, and no I'm not mad but I better not see little Kitsune Inu's running around Tokyo anytime soon!”

 

“Not soon.” Rin laughed and Shippo blushed.

 

“Wait you guys didn't have sex did you!?” Inuyasha asked walking up to the couple and glaring. Rin blushed and grabbed her brother's ear.

 

“How can you ask that?!” Shippo glared slightly embarrassed.

 

“Ack! You did! Rin…” InuYasha whined.

 

“Sorry InuYasha but I couldn't stay you little sister forever. Beside you and Kagome look pretty close.” InuYasha blushed.

 

“You know her?” InuYasha asked.

 

“You did say her name.” Rin glanced at Kagome with a raised brow. Kagome sighed knowing that Rin was going to ask why she Kagome Higurashi, Sesshomaru's trained assassin was at her beloved brother's home.

 

Things just got more complicated. Even more so because Kagome really was starting to have deep feelings for the Inu Hanyou. Somewhere in the back of her mind she wondered why Sango went into Miroku's room.

 

 

 

 

AN: What a boring ass chapter I know. Anyway to clear up some things.

 

Yes Ayame and Sesshomaru have a kid together.

No they are not mated and never were.

No Rin doesn't know that Kagome and the others are supposed to kill InuYasha and the others.

Rin was missing for a year.

Sango and Miroku are together.

No InuYasha doesn't know that Kagome and Rin know each other.

Rin is the youngest; let's just say it's complicated.

No Sesshomaru and Rin's mother was not cheated on.

Where the hell is Kagura? I know.

Where the hell is Naraku? On a vacation like I said in chapter ten.

Did the guys forget about the showdown in Naraku's corporation? No and I must say that plays a major part in this story so keep that in mind also Naraku being on vacation.

Will Rin be in this story more or was it just this chapter? Hell no, Rin plays a great role but it isn't revealed to later like Kagura's role.
